When I try to update or do anything on my phone that requires me to verify my BB ID, it tells me to 'Enter the user name associated with this Smartphone!I don't understand as I am using my BBID that works on the laptop. It is the only email address that it could possibly be & when I try anything else I get an error message & loose a 'go' at attempting to login.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9780 and my carrier is T-Mobile. I mostly just need to use the internet, apps, mapping, etc. Of course I would like to take advantage of the wifi that some restaurants and hotels offer.

Internet browser works, but I can not receive and send email.Yes, I have access to a wireless network and am connected to it. Other, "I" phone gets email here. Wonder why the Blackberry does not?

They do have Outlook Web so I know I can setup my 9700 to "connect" via the OWA service using BIS. My question is for those who do this in a "corporate" environment...
*How well does the Calendar syncing work? Can I really Accept the invite in my BB and then find it properly sync to my calendar when I plug in?
*I am assuming that I won't have the "read message reconciliation" available so is it true I won't have a copy of my Sent Mail from my BB in Outlook when I go back to my desk?
*Back to the calendar, if I accept the invite from my BB, I assume the invite is still in my Outlook Inbox in an "un-accepted" state. Any issues here with accepting it a second time?
*I assume Contacts will sync (not as big a deal)
The company told me "most of the users have an iPhone" and I know iPhone works (no wonder everone I interviewed with had one...). I am just not sure I want to go there. So I am looking for insight from the community before I give up my 10-year passion for the BB and go to an iPhone ((shudder)).
The phone shows 3g and full bars of service, but whenever I try to call with it, there's no sound until the "call failed' tone goes. No ringing, nothing. The tone plays fine, as do music and videos, but texts and calls cannot be sent or received. Considering it got wet recently (I stuck in rice for a few days), there may be some corrosion or something.

Next i thought it was the Charger, Bought a new one still nothing happened . Someone told me that the USB port was probably broken, And i can't get it fixed by tmobile cause the bold is a AT&T Phone . So a friend of mine told me to buy a charger dock on Amazon/Ebay , And the Phone will charge i just won't be able to put stuff on my phone through my Computer . Can anyone clarify that if i buy the dock it will work?, Also if it doesnt work at this point what should i do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've come to dread restarting my phone (after deleting an app, to free up space). Every time I pull the battery, it's like playing russian roulette with my phone. When it restarts, it goes back to that original wallpaper that my bb bold2 had, and then the trackpad won't work. Even if I click down once to activate the trackpad, nothing moves on my screen. It almost always ends with me having to do a second battery pull, which is really nerve-wracking. It's like there's some sort of SEVERE lag going on. And if it does begin to work after a battery pull, it takes like 6 minutes to begin working.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've now bought two of the little cables that can supposedly connect my HTC One to my TV, and tried them on two different TVs with two different HDMI cables. Nothing works.
I note on a video on YouTube where someone's got this to work that there's a HDMI icon at the top of his screen. I don't ever get that. I do get a sort of rainbowy effect on my screen sometimes when things are connected up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to boost my audio on my lg while using headphones. I did some research and found out that you can boost audio by editing the code in the phone. So I did using a file manager I went into the mixer path.xml to edit some code. Once I had changed some values the phone lost all audio possible and some functions of the phone do not work.
I tried changing the code back and even re-setting the phone to factory settings and this did not work either. This also effects making calls as i can not hear the dial tone or voice coming through.
i dont know why, but i have set free and recognize the new company and the sign of net but when i call it stops always and i cant call or receive calls..

I decided to sell my Evo 4G, so I erased all the contacts and all the data. Since I did that when I press "Phone" at the bottom of the phone, nothing happens. The number keypad should come up, but nothing happens. I used to use Go SMS Pro, so does it not work because I erased it? I took it to sprint and they cant figure it out, they say its broken and thats not the case. They did a full system re-boot on it and it does the same thing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor 2 days now my phone just show the clock spinning for several minutes, maybe up to an hour, then a white screen pops up that says App Err, and click the middle button to reset and then if just goes back through the same process. The folks at AT&T said I might need a software update, so I downloaded the desktop software onto my computer and have tried to update my phone that way, but it just does the same thing, the clock just spins like it is thinking, and then it will just shut off.

Also, my download folder can only be accessed in my files folder under my applications, and when I find the theme there and try and open it it's just a bunch of letters and mumbo jumbo that I don't understand.

I take a picture and go to the edit menu and all of the effects show up on the bottom of the picture but if I push ufocus or seasons or any of the others I get a message that says duo effects not available for this picture. I do everything the directions tell me to do until it says to get on my computer (I am using a mac) and to click on my device and enter in the code. well, the problem is that the device never shows up. I've tried changing my device name (as suggested), i've turned the airsync off and on again (as suggested) and i have tried adding an airsync device. when i try to do the last part, i'll enter in my ip address like is says to do, but it just says IP address unreachable.

View 1 Replies View Relatediv recently bought an lg g3 and once setup I found out that it included something called smart unlock which allows me to unlock the mobile with my face.Now I went into settings - general - security - trusted agents - and enabled smart lock ( google)then went into display - lock screen - smart lock - and turned on trusted face, did that setup and made sure I had my pattern setup
then I turned the screen off and turned it back on but it doesn't show anything to say its looking for my face, it just shows the pattern thing...iv restarted the phone - still doesn't work..iv even factory reset the phone ( as asked by o2) - still doesn't work.
Does the phone work on cdma/3g without a sim installed? The phone says "A SIM card is needed to operate this phone" but is that just talking about lte? I'm planning on using this phone with a mvno that uses cdma but has no lte and I do not have a sim for the phone that is why i'm wondering.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy app world is not working.it is like stuck when i click on the App world.I am using a BES+BIS account and there is no restriction to open app world on BES.My app world used to work perfectly fine.Once after i wiped date and reconfigured my BES it worked for some time and this issue started.Now also if i am not using BES and try use appworld on a fresh or wiped BB,it works fine.As soon as i configure BES it works for some time and then this issue starts...My BB Team even deleted my BB BES account and created a new one,still this happens.
To add to the issue..i had the issue of battery draining when i activate my BES with 3 different device..when my account was deleted and a new one was created,the battery draining issue was solved(seems like some corrupt database,havenot got any credible reason from anyone)...
