View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000, and sometimes the bugger just drives me nuts. This has only happened to me twice now, but it's a pretty costly issue..My voice dialing seems to randomly turn on, I have no idea what is leading up to it, I hadn't had my headphone jack in it for a couple of hours. But then, the next morning, my alarm doesn't go off because the stupid voice dialing was activated [as you can see, this is a costly issue because it has lead to me missing a shift].Anyways, all the posts that I have read the solution has been to disable the side key.. Which I did a long time ago, and I double checked today, yes, it is turned to video camera, not voice dialing. How do I disable my voice dialing?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever my 5800 Xpress Music connects to a wired or bluetooth headset it starts 'Speak now' voice dialling which sometimes accidentally starts a call to one of my contacts and I'm unaware of dialling out until the recipient answers the call. I've checked the forums and instruction manual but switching voice dialling (or commands) off doesn't seem to appear anywhere.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to permanently disable this feature and can't find where to do so. When using a bluetooth headset, if I press the button in a call, it hangs up. However, if the other end hangs up first, my phone calls a random number from the phone book when I try to hang up myself. The same happens if the headset gets touched accidentally.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my previous Andorid device, Froyo running on an HTC Desire, I was able to insert a puase field in a phone number. That way, I can use my long distance provider, that requires the user to call their number, wait for the prompt, then enter the long distance number I wish to dial. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any way to do this on my new phone, as the phone numbre imput pad only allows for numbers and nothing else (the pause would normally be a comma or the letter p).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgrade phone, from 9780 to 9790.Behalf the battery duration that's really poor, I've big problem with touchscreen! In my search in this forum and others related with BB, I couldn't find anything that helps me with the annoying touchscreen.I simply want to disable my touchscreen! I don't want that functionality on my phone. And RIM doesn't have any other equipment similar to that without touchscreen.I know that exist some applications that permit to lock the screen during a call, but what I really want it's to disable the touchscreen. Is there an official or officious way to do that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a n00b so I apologize in advance, but I just bought my Blackberry Bold and really dig this phone. However, I want to add more icons to the home screen other than the 5 that are currently on there. How do I do this? I am currently using the "Widescreen HD 9700 O550" theme (which looks really nice).I just switched over from the G1/Android OS so I am still learning my way around the Blackberry.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I switched to another phone for a few days and I left my Bold with its battery removed for a day or two. When I restarted my Bold 9700, I've been unable to see or act on the home screen or apps screen. However, the phone is still working (push on the green button and the phone screen pops up), same with the long press on blackberry key.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9700 for personal use and a Bold 9000 for work. On my 9700 there is an option to change my home screen layout from "Zen" (which seems to be the default setting) to "Today" which lists my messages and calendar on my home screen. Obviously this would be much more useful on the handheld I use for work but I cannot seem to find this layout option on my 9000. Is it available?
View 13 Replies View RelatedBasically I have just lost my job and have to keep a real close eye on money. So I am writing everything down as a memo on my BB.Is there a way to set this memo as a home screen so I am always concious of what I am spending? lol. When I had a Sony Erricson many moons ago you could set a memo as home screen and you could still see the picture I had set as the home screen but you could faintly see the text over the image if that makes sense?
I am hesitant to change one of the Shortcut Keys on the side to Memo Pad because I use them a lot for camera and calendar.
I have a BBM alert for one BBM message on my homescreen, although I have no messages.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe system seems to be locked on the "Home Screen" (the screen with the picture background). You can hold down the blackberry button and it will bring up a menu where I can read my email and make calls (the trackball works here), but I can't select anything on the home screen, or on the large list of icons.
