I have a BB 9700 Bold. I have downloaded the desktop software from the site and backed up my BB info onto my PC. I now need to reset my BB but have no idea how to restore the info onto my phone once the reset is done.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrade my bold from 4.6 to 5.0, when system starts appear a message box with a text like this:"This mobile device contains confidential software and property of RIM etc..."
at the end has a OK button but I can't click! I press the scroll, enter key, space key and nothing! If I don't click in this button I can't do anything in the phone!
If I pull over the batery and boot the phone, it's starts normally and this screen appear again and I stuck again!
My Outlook contact information on the PC ended up corrupted so I created another folder and moved all of the Outlook contact data to that folder (just as a precaution).
I then deleted all of the data in my Outlook contacts.
What I was hoping to do was push the data from the Bold 9650 to Outlook, effectively repopulating my contact list. The data on the phone is good. However, when I connect to the computer and it Desktop Manager attempts to sync the contact, it senses all contacts deleted in Outlook and asks if it can delete all contacts on the phone. I want to have it do the opposite, I want it to take the data from the phone and upload it to Outlook.
My camera in my Blackberry says that the memory card is full and that I should delete photos. I have already transferred them all to my computer and deleted them via my computer however the phone still says that I need to delete. How do I do a complete delete of my memory card?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a Bold 9930 for the past year and I just recently discovered that I can no longer email pictures - my attachments for files and etc work fine. I have tried the battery - emailing from the camera - using small size pictures - checking to see if I have a data plan (YES) - emailing from the media card and the device storage with no luck. I am getting angry at the phone! The pictures can be sent to Twitter/Facebook/and of course texting. Oh I read about deleting service books and then restarting them - not sure what that means but I have a ton of files under the service books.

All of the help instructions include steps and/or menu options that are not available on my phone. For example, I can do Options, Language and Text Options, but "Show Text Input Options" does not appear. I also cannot get to the referenced check box anywhere for Predictive Text Input. I also tried to restore specific items.... the option to restore contacts does not allow me to tick it for restoration. I have a Bold 9700, abt 2.5 yrs old. Unfortunately restoring the messages is not completed. It stops on 50%. (Messages backup is around 7000+)

Redirect me to a post that may already be up or useful. First off, I apologize if I am posting a deja vu post. Secondly, I'd like to know if anyone has a fix for my 9700, I have owned this phone for 2 months, one week in to using my bold, I lost all of my info, everything was gone. It went back to the original background pic and everything. It didn't really phase me because I had only had it for a week and had only put in a few contacts.This morning I woke up to my BB plugged into my Macbook, which is the usual site, but when I unplugged the bold 9700 from my macbook everything was gone again, I took it to the bell store and they said there was nothing they could do, and that "that shouldn't happen, did you back up your phone?" I of course haven't had the time to back up my phone and I know it would save me right now but this still should never happen, I was only charging my phone and now everything on my phone is gone. I play JR hockey and all of my hockey connections, emails and texts are in that phone, I literally have 200+ contacts that I need and can't ever get back.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am currently doing a backup and restore on my Windows 7 Laptop (see other thread i started for reason.The tasks have been running fine, until the restoring process/task where it is currently on Task 12/12. However, the task seems to have not made any further progress after approximately 55% of the overall restore process, and 80% of Database: BBGroups. there is no option to cancel (its greyed out) and the yellow bar at the top is telling me not to disconnect the device as the device/data may become unusable if disconnected before the process finishes.
The overall process was quick (approx 15 minutes) until the above it's taken over an hour now and it doesnt seem like it will ever finish.
This is my first post and my first BB, I have tthe BB Bold 9700 with T-Mo. Here is my question:How do I configure the BB to display the contact info on the text message. When ever I get a text message it just shows the phone number not the name, however when I connect to my home wi-fi, the name populate the text messages but when I dissconnect from the WI-FI the names go away and the phone numbers appear...I must have done something stupid when I was setting up my contacts and or WI-FI

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4S 16GB running iOS 5.0.1. Just like everyone else, I have major battery drain! It loses like 20% overnight! I sleep For about 8 hours. So thats 20% gone in 8 hours. So I was thinking of restoring it. When I click on the Restore icon in iTunes it starts updating my phone to iOS 5.1! I don't want to update to 5.1. So I was wondering whether I could download iOS 5.0.1 from the web and then Shift + Click on the restore icon and restore my phone. Will that work? A lot of people are saying that it won't work because Appl has stopped signing iOS 5.0.1. I have no idea what that means. But I used to Shift + Click and restore my old iPhone 3G and it restored perfectly. It's still running iOS 3.1.3 haha. And Its also factory unlocked.
So, would Shift + Clicking on the restore icon in iTunes and manually selecting iOS 5.0.1 restore my phone? I really don't want to update.

Having a few issues with my phone. It will 'sleep' and then upon clicking it no longer wakes, so I have to restart everytime. Anyway, I would like to restore it, since I've never had to do this I'm not quite sure what actually is missing after restoring from a backup. As far as I know sms and such things dont get restored? How can I restore the phone that it's basically exactly the same after (sms, notes, settings etc.)?
