When I go into Settings Mail, Contacts and Calendars there is a setting under Contacts that says My Info. I have it pointing to my personal contact in the Address Book but was wondering where the information is used in the iPhone.
My family has multiple iProducts (4 iPads, 2 iPhones, 1 IPod Touch). We use 1 iTunes account. I have set and reset the My Info tab in general mail settings on each device multiple times. However, when I go into an particular device (be it my iPad or my wife's iPhone) and check the My Info tab sometimes it has changed on it's own. This manifested itself a couple of times when my wife would text me and she would see both the "sent" side of the text and the "recieved" side. I took a look at the My Info and HER iPad had changed to MY info.
I was wondering if anyone can advise me on something please. My brother has given my Mother his old iphone 3gs,do anyone know if I can restore this to factory settings for her to clear all his items and if I can set up a new account in her name on Apple/ITunes.
I have been searching for something that can give me like "LockScreen" apps information, the calender, on the home screen, so the calender occupaies the first two or three rows with the calender information and the rest is for apps.I would rather have that then the information on the lockscreen, since I really love to keep my lockscreen clean =) Dont just want the ordinary calender, just showing the days, I want to be able to read the closesd appointment
Why am I getting a pop up that says Security info required? I just enetered my password and it asks for it again, then wants security questions filled in?
I am at a loss as to how I should move my iPhone 4 apps, info, etc. from my old desktop onto my new laptop (my desktop is a 2007 mac mini). I need to move my mac account info to iCloud and want to streamline my life onto one computer which is the latest MacBook Pro with Lion.
I forgot my passcode to my new iphone 4s, I called apple and they said i need to restore it. Does anybody know if i restore it will i lose my app info, for example my "high score in temple run"?
i have changed my iphone and although i have the iplanner app on the new one the info i had on the old one is not there. tried the kids and they cant sort it.Â
I have recently updated to a new iPhone 4S and want to back up/sync all of my contacts and calendar infor from my old iPhone 3G to my husband's MacBook Pro and then add it all to my new phone. I understand that this needs to be done via iTunes but am worried that if i sync it this way it will wipe all of my details on my phone and replace it with y (empty) ical info from the MacBook?
I have already backed up the phone using itunes - backup - but when i click 'sync calendar' in the itunes prefs it only displays the calendars on the mac (Work and Home) and not the phone (Calendar)
When I upgraded my wife's iPhone 3G to 5.1, I lost all her contact information and she ended up with mine.
During the upgrade process, I thought it backed up her data. But it doesn't seem to be available to restore. Isn't that a normal part of the upgrade process and shouldn't it be available somewhere?
Unfortunately, she did not sync this data with any application.
