IPhone :: Cannot Download Any More Apps Until Updated Security Info?
Apr 11, 2012On my iphone4, I cant download any more apps until I have updated my security info. They automatically take me to a security info page, there are 5 blank questions i must fill in e.g. whatwas first job I had. but every time I select answer it refreshes the page, so i can never finish updating the security info and thus i cannot download/install any more apps on my iphone.It is very weird because I already have ONE security question on my apple ID, so why do I need more?And the fact it refreshes etc worries me that im being hacked/a virus of some sort I cannot change my security info anywhere except on my phone it seems?I tried on my apple ID, but its different, as thats not the same format, it is only one Q, whereas i was asked 5 on my iphone?

Everytime i select any free app it requests for password which looks good but then ,it asks me to verify my payment options , i would like to know ,Why ? I am getting free apps on my phone and not purchasing anything for which card info is required . 1. I bought with my previous smartphone Titanium BackUp Pro to backup and manage my Android Phone. Do i have to forget this with my Xperia Ray ?
2. I never use Twitter app, Facebook app, fun to download app, video unlimited app that are automatically loaded on boot. When i go to manage apps menu, i only can "force stop" for those apps. So how can i uninstall or unload them on boot? without be able to root my phone ? adb is a solution ?
3. For some reasons i want to keep wifi connection active even if my phone is in sleep mode, can i manage WiFi sleep policy without root permissions?
Motorola Droid Razr :: Assigning A Default App/cleaning Up All Apps Info
Jul 4, 2012After reading the posts here about assigning a different texting app rather than using VZWs stock texting app, I decided to try it. I disabled the stock app, which DID remove it from the lock screen. It left a blank space. When I dragged down toward it, it opened the camera app instead.
I noticed in Manage Apps> App Info that there is a selection called Launch by Default/No defaults set, and a button marked Clear Defaults. This section is grayed out in every single app in manage apps; how to enable it? I'd like to disable VZW text messaging, and enable Google Talk in its place.
Secondly - after the ICS update, I now have multiple references to the same apps in Manage Apps>All Apps. There are three separate references for Backup Assistant Plus, and two for Google Maps. Looking at App Info, some are the old versions (pre ICS) and some are the new ones (post ICS). Is there a way to delete the old references and clean things up a tad?
I just got out of a live chat w a Motorola rep, and they had no answers either. Or maybe I should quit digging into the phone and just enjoy it? LOL it's like picking at a scab.
Asha 30/40 Series :: Nokia 300 Not Upgrading Properly - Apps Info Not Changed
Jul 5, 2012I have upgraded the firmware of my Nokia Asha 300 twice (first to v07.44, second to v07.49) via Nokia Suite and both upgrades went without errors. The problem is that none of the applications seem to have been upgraded. On my device, Nokia browser is still at version 1.0.2. Information on the internet says that 07.44 was supposed to give me browser v1.5 and 07.49 was supposed to give me 2.0. No other app seems to have been upgraded either. (Could someone tell me what versions numbers I'm supposed have with firmware v07.49?) In fact the only change I can detect is that the version number of the firmware now reads 07.49 in Settings -> Phone -> etc.. Also Nokia Suite says that my phone is up to date. It seems two firmware upgrades have been failures and Nokia Suite does not even realize it.

However, when I go into an particular device (be it my iPad or my wife's iPhone) and check the My Info tab sometimes it has changed on it's own. This manifested itself a couple of times when my wife would text me and she would see both the "sent" side of the text and the "recieved" side.
