my BBM has disappeared but apps loader says its installed.I backed up my phone and my BBM was gone! i tried to re-install it and it says its still installed but I cant find it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been a BB fan for some years. I'm using now a BB Bold 9700 but I've recently experienced enormous performance problems and flaws on my BB, since I've upgraded to OS6. Mainly the issue appears to be on the Application Storage capabilities. It seems that the device only allows 250MB of application storage, being that the OS6 and some BB required software use the majority of it. I've around 8-10 apps which I've been using: Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox. ScoreMobile, GoogleMaps, Accuweather and a few others.
The application storage memory available is already below 2MB even after deleting all the not needed files, applications, language packs, etc. I've experienced that sometimes, when I reboot the system, there is an increase of space available but it keeps reducing after a few days without any further app installations. This problem affects the overall performance of the device. I've experienced three major things:
1. After being for sometime on stand-by, when I want to use the phone, the BB seems to freeze for about 30sec/1min before it reacts on my commands.
2. Very often, I wake up in the morning and the BB simply deleted all the emails in my inbox. IT appears to be a consequence of a low memory situation.
3. Even just using a few apps, I would like to install a bunch of new other stuff. Nevertheless I'm not able to do so as I do not have memory available for it.
Is there anyway to move the apps to the media file storage? How can I stop this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my bold 9700 keeps on displaying memory manager and shows applications I can delete, but won't actually let me delete anything as it's basicall frozen with clock icon ticking away.Strange thing is if I reboot device, and look at available memory it shows 30mb available, but as I watch it ticks its way down to nothing.What could be eating at memory when I'm not doing anything.Device has become basically useless.After this started, I did install new release of OS that was available when connected to my PC hoping that would solve issue.APP world does not display all my installed apps when I go there??

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to upgrade my OS through DM. I went to click upgrade after connecting my 9700, and it pops up "application uploader needs to be upgraded." I tried installing it as it advised, 5 times already and it still pops up the same message. I tried uninstalling and installing DM again with the latest version but it is still happening. Any clues on how to fix this?
My computer is Win7 64bit Sony.
So last week or so, my phone took a bit of a swim. I did the usual, put it in rice and let it dry out. Then I turned it on to find it continously rebooting itself. Seeing as how I had no idea what was happening, I brought it to a shop to get it fixed. A week later I got it back and basically it was doing the same thing, only at the end of the reboot cycle the white screen would come up, then repeat. I googled this and saw that my blackberry was "nuked." There was an issue though; my phone had been totally wiped of handheld software. So I redownloaded it, then followed the steps to repairing it. But it would always stop at the second step saying "application loader was unable to connect to the device" when reconnecting to the jvc. Is there anything I can do or is my phone totally done?

Your BlackBerry Application Loader needs to be updated before your can continue. Do you want to update now? [Yes / No]
When I click YES, the Desktop Managers starts to download the Application Loader update. Then I am instructed to close the Desktop Manager so the setup can continue. After the setup is complete, the Desktop Manager starts on its own again and directly tries to open Application Loader. And OOPPS !! it tells you again that it needs to be updated !!! I kept doing that for over 5 times! and I am still getting this wierd messages !

I have had the Droid X since Launch Day and I have loved the phone except for one glaring issue that constantly bugs me: LAG/general stuttering.I just tried it and noticed an immediate increase in snappiness and responsiveness. My problem is that I have many apps installed on my phone. I may not use them all the time but I do like to have them on there. Unfortunately I have noticed that these apps will often run in the background and probably just slow my phone down even though I would not normally use them. Is there any solution to keeping my phone running fast with a lot of apps? Or maybe a selective safe mode where you can choose what is allowed to run?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ? Telenav had to be fully downlaoded, but was a free version. After I connected my phone to Blackberry Desktop Manager, both of these apps disappeared. I was unable to recover either. The Telenav icon was still on the homescreen, but then after downloading it like before, it asked me to buy the app in order to be able to use it. When I first downloaded it, I was able to use it everything on it including the step-by-step voice directions without having to pay for it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again to see if that was the problem, but it continued to ask me to buy it in order to use it. How do I recover apps that came already installed on the device when I purchased it?
