Jan 27, 2010I'm using the real player to stream a bbc radio station, it's streaming at 64 bit rate, however my friend has a e71 the same link using real player stream at only 20 bit rate (a third). Does anyone know how to adjust this (as it's costing me 3 times as much). The only difference I can see is the real player version, where can I download older versions of real player or can someone recommend an apps will can stream.

Aug 26, 2010Up till a few months ago I regularly used TrackID on my Sony Ericson W580i to identify tracks on my local radio station (DJ's are USELESS they never say what the tracks are called!) But the last few months I keep getting the message 'Service Not Available' after the sound sample has been sent to wherever it goes. I understand the service itself is free, but in order to use the service you need to send the sound sample to get it analyzed and you have to pay a 'data transmission charge'. Has Sony discontinued the service? Or have they updated the Track ID system and I need to update my phone? Would save me having to text the DJ's for the track names.

Oct 30, 2011I was using Opera and accidentally downloaded a large file to the root of C:.
Not a problem I thought, I'll just go to the file manager and delete it, but while the usage is there, I used up space on C:, the file can not be seen. It was a .png file.
Is there any way to delete that file? I use a Mac so I don't have Ovi software.

Apr 19, 2012I downloaded an app when it was free and deleted it accidently. Now it is $.99. Can I download it for free since I've downloaded it once already? Just to be clear, I didn't syn my phone with my computer when I had the app. The particular app I want to download again just have install button instead of $0.99 then Buy App.I also have a question on how to pay apps. Itunes require you to put a credit card information to creat an account, but I took off my CC information after I created it. Since my account doesn't have any credit card information, how does apple charge me if I buy an app? Is it even possible to purchase one unless I put CC or giftcard on my account?

Aug 21, 2010Checked the forum and did not find any on this post! Ran my battery down to 4% and radio did not turn off. Has Rim done away with this feature? Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

Jul 18, 2010I deleted the camera icon because on my Blackberry tour, you could access the camera option by going to media, and then going to pictures. For whatever reason, in this newest version, you cannot.
So my accident, I did delete the icon. And now, i have no idea how to get it back. I tried a couple backup features on the desktop manager, and have tried to do a couple other things and to no avail.

Sep 3, 2010I was sorting through my photos stored on my cell phone. I was trying to rename each photo. I've apparently lost one of the photos prior to processing the name change. I didn't separate the photos into folders. There are only about 10 photos on my phone. I have no idea how I could've deleted one of the photos. If in fact I accidentally hit the "delete" button, is there a feature that states, "Are you sure you want to delete?" Regardless, is there anyway I can recapture that photo somewhere on my phone? Is there a trashcan feature like you have on your laptop where you can go back in and find it? OR is it lost forever?

Feb 6, 2012I have been using my device without any problems, but yesterday I received a message saying that an upgrade to my Blackberry software was available. Foolishly, I agreed to it. The upgrade erased all of my settings and wiped out my photos. The upgrade set things so that the device was acting as a brand new device.
After hours of struggle, I was able to reset everything EXCEPT for my link to my earthlink email. When I go into the email setup wizard, I am asked to enter my email password. The email address is already there. When I enter the password, I get the message, "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again."

Jan 19, 2010I downloaded a few application that I thought were demos of games, but turned out to just be links to the developer's website. It was essentially just a ploy to get some extra revenue, which I suppose is their perogative, but I found the label to be misleading. In any case, I now wish to remove these "demos", but I can't seem to figure out how. The menu on selection won't let me remove the icon (it can be hidden, but I want it gone), and they don't show up under Setup --> Applications.They also don't appear in App World, so I can't archive/delete them from there. I've been working on this for a while now, to no avail. Any thoughts?

Aug 15, 2010Got my first bb ever last night with the bold and I love it. But, I have a question: when browsing sites in the browser, when you hover a link aren't you supposed to be able to just push in the trackball button to 'click' the link? Its not working for me on any sites. I actually have to press the BB menu button and select "Open Link". (e.g on crackberry wallpapers, when i click on a specific genre of wallpapers like "ART", I have to select "open link" instead of just clicking the trackball). It might just be because I am not familiar with all the menu settings yet and this is a buried setting somewhere.
