I was using Opera and accidentally downloaded a large file to the root of C:.
Not a problem I thought, I'll just go to the file manager and delete it, but while the usage is there, I used up space on C:, the file can not be seen. It was a .png file.
Is there any way to delete that file? I use a Mac so I don't have Ovi software.

I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery.But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files.
Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem.Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.
I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find where it download it. I called Nokia and the only thing they could tell me was to restore it back to factory settings. i really don't want to do that. There has to be a way to just download the API Bridge. It has not seemed to effect anything so I am wondering if I really need it. What does the API bridge do anyway? It has not seemed to affect anything yet. (or not that I have noticed)

Trying to download it, wether I used the link, and wether I used the S3 link inside the page on the browser, got me stuck. So I decided to download it to my local computer, and install it via web server I've created locally.Then it downloaded the file, but after downloading it, it installed nothing. After clicking on it, it says "Unable to open file, File type is not supported." Installing it using the Nokia installer, from my PC, didn't create any response on my computer. Anything I can do?

Just to be clear, I didn't syn my phone with my computer when I had the app. The particular app I want to download again just have install button instead of $0.99 then Buy App.I also have a question on how to pay apps. Itunes require you to put a credit card information to creat an account, but I took off my CC information after I created it. The status bar gets to about 15% and then the installation is interrupted. I've tried using WiFi and non-WiFi connections, but the result remains the same. My N8-00 was upgraded to the Belle OS over the weekend and it caused most of the apps to be uninstalled. Now I'm trying to get them back but fail to do so because of the error.

View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen you start maps after having done a backup with the internal file manager, the GPS satellite dish symbol doesn't show up. Maps is not finding any route after showing the location based on UMTS. Although everythings looks ok in maps (you cannot see the missing GPS symbol), navigation will not work. Maps shows always the same location (looks like frozen). I had this now two time in heavy traffic in Aachen an Baden-Baden until I figured out the root cause.. To resolve the situation you need to switch off and on the N8. It is a night mare when you cannot restart the N8 while driving, and you cannot stop on a major street.The bug is reproducable. I hope it gets fixed fast. It's a pitty that maps doesn't show any error warning when getting started about the missing GPS. The recent Belle refresh had no solution to the problem. The bug is with both maps 3.08 and 3.09. Never do an automatic backup when you want to use maps.
