since 3 days my blackberry bold 9900 is messed up , i don't know what's wrong with it !i can't receive sms and calls from my contacts and i can't text them back or call them either . The rest of the applications aare all good( bbm , facebook ,whatssap ...)
View 9 RepliesI was using IPhone and recently shifted to BB and bought 9900 just 20 days ago. Now the phone started giving me problems the 3rd day of my purchase. After few calls the phone stops receiving calls.What happens is that when a call is made the person receives the call but I am not able to his voice nor does the receiver hears mine however the call dialing status is shown on the screen. I can see that the call is being made but can't hear the ring...the call gets connected and I am charged for that by the service provider.Now when someone calls me the phone does not rings but I can see that I am receiving a call and when I pick up the phone I cannot hear the other person nor does the caller hears me.It works only when I switch off the phone...take the SIM out and again restart the phone but again after few calls the same thing repeats.I went to BB service outlet and got the phone exchanged the new phone also started giving me exactly the same problem.

I cannot send any MMS to any number and i cannot receive any MMS from anybody. When I try to send them a big red X pups up right next to the message and it just stays there and the message does not go through.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9900. Under "contacts" I have created a distribution list, mainly my baseball team so if a game is cancelled, I would like to address them all in one swoop. The problem is, only 8 out of 18 receive a text. I go to the "text message" icon, press the blackberry button on "compose text message". When it asks "To:" I select from my contact list, my baseball team.
Some of the entries on my list have an email address only while others have both. What do I have to do to successfully reach everyone on the list? Would it work better if it were only email or mobile addresses? Does it matter whether they are MTS or Rogers customers for their cell phones? Do I require to add 1+then the area code for the cell phone numbers?
have recently updated to various software bundles, 7.1 1149. all fine except when receive message or have call the screen goes haywire and it takes 15 minutes for the screen to restore itself. have tried reloading software, keep getting error 507. should i perform a full factory reset on the device?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.
I've checked and I'm at the latest available update. (7.0.0 bundle 1346)
i got a new Blackberry Bold 9900 from Wind Mobile. It comes with call displays but whenever someone calls me and I have their number saved into my contact list their name wont show up. So I don't know who is calling me even though I have their number saved into my phone. Sometimes it shows up and sometime it doesn't (same people). I tried adding +1 or removing +1 infront of the number but that does nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry bold 9700 with TMobile that cannot make or receive calls as of yesterday. Texts and email work fine and I have done a battery pull about five times. When I try to make a call, there is this constant clicking, almost like a pulse sounds that comes through the phone. I tried to call my wife's phone and her phone rings with my number but no voice goes through. Same problem when I receive a call, the pulse thing happens and it goes to voice mail...which I of course can't check. I have had this phone for almost two years and this has never happened before. This just started happening yesterday with no changes to the phone (OS update, new app, etc.).

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to call someone/send a text it either doesn't send or I get call failed after about 5-10 seconds. Last night it kept saying SOS in the top corner, even when I had signal. I tried rebooting it but it would say vodafone UK for about 30 seconds after a reboot and the go to SOS. My bbm is working fine, so im not quite sure what the problem is. today it worked for a bit and within the last hour it has reverted back to doing it agai, but it doesnt say SOS.

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.
I upated now I've lost all my contacts. Why? How do I get them back?

I have tried to "switch devices" to my new Bold 9900, from my 9780, but when it is switching to the new device, it keeps getting stuck on "backing up on-board memory" and doesn't continue to switch the data over.
