Brand New Blackberry only a few months old. ATT Bold 9900. All of a sudden in the last couple of days, it has been shutting down randomly. It starts right back up but within a few hours it will shut down again. Also can u back it up without plugging into computer?
I'm just wondering if anyone has had this one problem as well. I literally just upgraded from the 9700 to the 9900, less than a week ago. Havent had much time to put all my contacts onto the new phone and only added a couple of appsOn tuesday, my phone just randomly shut off while i was texting someone. After restarting it, i was on a web site, reading and it randomly shut off again.o, in total i believe my phone has randomly shut off on me about 6-7 times since Tuesday. I thought it could be a battery life thing, but i had a minimum half battery each time and the phone turns back on right after it shuts off.ll the software for the phone is all up to date. Just wondering if there's a solution? maybe did I just get a "lemon" for a phone? Maybe should I take it back to Bell or what should I do?
I have just picked up a Bold 9900, It has some issues but the price was right. This phone was originally from the Bell Mobility network, it has an issue with staying on when disconnected from the computer. Even when it is plugged into the wall adapter or Car charger it goes off on its own requiring a Battery pull to reboot it. It seems though that as long as it is plugged into the computer it boots and stays running. I have tried the three OS versions that Bell has released for this phone to no avail. It continues to act the same with each version. I have tried another battery from another 99xx phone, tried wiping with BBSAK, wiping with JL_Cmdr, Reset to factory. Another symptom is that the battery seems to take about an hour to go up 5%, that is with it sitting in a charger cradle plugged into the wall and having the computer connected Via USB. Am currently running the battery diagnostic on the phone.
It has been a month since I bought my 9900. Lately I have noticed that it randomly shuts off. I think the problem is with the hardware because any slight taps on the back made it restart. Has any of you heard of this before?I really like my 9900, but this is just stupid. The phone is brand new. Is there any way I can exchange it (in seattle) for a new one, even though I bought back in Saudi Arabia?
I have had a Bold 9900 for a little over a week now, whilst the battery is not that great on it (even with auto power off turned on and screen brightness right down) my major issue seems to be with the it switching off and rebooting randomly. Some days it will go the whole day without doing it, others it will do it three or four times during the day, sometimes during a call, sometime when it is just sat in my pocket.
get a BB9900 after my BB9700 was stolen.....somehow I feel like it was a big mistake, out of the box the device chrashes randomly.what to to before this BB is flying out of the window, and I use my iPhone again?
My Blackberry randomly stops responding on different applications, and then i have to hold the menu button and switch to a different application, and i won't be able to use the un-responsive application until the blackberry is given a hard reset. Also during this time, my BBM will mess up, It won't show me peoples display pictures, it will show that their there when im in a conversation or over their name, but as soon as i go onto their profile or enlarge their image it will freeze, it will not let me send or recieve BBM messages during this 'phase' either, I've tried reloading the OS but that won't work either for some reason.
Okay so i got a gamestop refurbished iPhone 3gs and yesterday everything was working out great and the phone was working fine. Today on the other hand, i encountered my phone randomly shutting off by itself. Once it did it when i opened the camera app and the others were from txt messages or using the internet. The battery was around 50% or so too so it was far from a dead battery. Once the phone shuts off, sometimes i can reboot the phone and other times i need to plug it in to reboot.
This past 2 weeks ive had a problem with my Desire. It's shutting itself down randomly, today it did so 3 times, once during a call. It boots without any problems when i press the power button. It can take a few hours, or a day, or it might even not happen for 1-2 days but for the past 2 weeks it has shut itself down a total of 9 times so i have to start it with the power button.
my girlfriends curve 9300 has been randomly shutting itself off. It's a little over a year old (no longer in warranty) and has no water damage. Once shut off, it needs to be plugged-in in order to start itself back up (hard restart process, taking apprx. 3 minutes). We have tried replacing the battery, I have reset it to factory settings, reloaded the OS from scartch, upgraded, downgraded, everythign I could think of, and yet the problem persists. We went to her provider (Virgin Mobile) but they were useless, and told us to make sure the blackberry is fully upgraded and if its still not working then we're out of luck.I understand that the blackberry is now out of warrantly however I am interested in the approximate cost and time for a repair, and we really can't afford a new blackberry at the moment.
I've been having trouble with my phone a lot lately. The battery doesn't last more than 3 hours, so I just assumed I was in need of a new battery..Then tonight it suddenly shut off, and then when it restarted it shut off again and continued to do this until I took out the battery to restart it.I took out the Micro SD card, in case that's the problem. Also it only turns back on when it is plugged into a charger..
They will automatically shut down and reboot. It seems to be very sensitive to being set down, even into my purse. It is random and can happen constantly or just a few times a day. It is showing the water damage indicator on the battery, but neither phone has really every been wet. The person at our retail store said it is very sensitive to humidity -(such as being in the bathroom during a shower) and we have had very high humidity levels in our area lately, but that seems rather extreme that our 2 1/2 month old phones can't stand the heat and humidity? They are both working properly if we can get them to stay on.
My blackberry storm that I have had for over a year has now just started all of a sudden started shutting itself down and rebooting and then will drain the battery completely once rebooted (even if charged fully right before). This happens several times a day, sometimes twice in a row. Went to the verizon store and they said they were unable to help me because my warranty has expired a few months ago. This is so frustrating and makes me want to just switch to the new Iphone! Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix to this, considering it is a fault of the phone and not a user induced issue?
I've got an iPhone 4 that shuts down randomly, first it was not that often, now it several times a day. I really getting annoying. I've checked the apple website and it said that my warranty has expired. What to do?
So I was on my phone using Safari when all of a sudden it shuts off and will not respond, I tried the awake+menu and alas to no avail so I plugged it in to my wall charger and it powers on saying that it's at 100% and that it's Wednesday December31 at 7:01 then says a restore is necessary and is now randomly shutting off and on. In addition the time is changing within a few minutes of what it was before every time it comes back on. It also says cannot make or receive calls and that a restore from iTunes is necessary and it says apple.com/support. But I am not with my computer and will not be so for another couple days. Is there anyway I can do this from my phone it will not allow me to access Wi-Fi or 3G the signal bar says Searching... Lastly, when disconnected from the cord it will cut off and not respond.
Having a bit of a problem with my phone, it just keeps shutting off randomly. I just came back from holiday and noticed it recently. It shuts off in random intervals, sometimes a couple of hours and sometimes 30 minutes or less. I doubt it has anything to do with the software as it was fine before i went on holiday, and now it keeps acting up.
My phone is powering down on its own and rebooting on its own. I have tried restoring to factory settings and resyncing from a back up and it didn't work. There r several codes under my Diagnostics and usage. What's wrong with my iPhone5?
I've recently been experiencing on my SGS II that it shuts itself down in the night (usually at similar hours). I have also done some research in this matter and found out that this was also plaguing the previous Galaxy phone. I have the latest KWE7 update and i'm pretty sure it didn't happen before that.
So i uninstalled the few apps ive downloaded since the 2.3.4 update and still my phone randomly shuts off and sometimes it freezes. Ill go to make a call or scroll through the screens and for no reason the screen turns black and the only thing that i can do is pull down the notification bar... i have to turn it off and back on for it to work again. My husband has the same phone and his does the same thing since the update so i dont think its a app.
I've had my Incredible since it came out, and within the last couple of days the screen has started turning on randomly and not shutting off. It is killing my battery unless I notice it right away and turn it off.
i've been having issues with my bb torch 9800 (6.0 bundle 2647), randomly shutting down. when i finally get it to turn back on, it reboots.i've tried working with at&t tech support for a solution, but nothing we've tried has worked long term, and it's very frustratini've tried:soft resets (taking out the battery while phone is off)hard resets (taking out the battery while phone is on)master reboots (wipping phone clean of all data and software, then re-installing software)i have very limited media/apps on my phone, yet, this issues keeps occurinfree memory: 315974563 bytesapplications installed: at&t code scanner 2.0.14blackberry app world 188.8.131.52blackberry maps 184.108.40.206blackberry essenger220.127.116.11blackberry podcasts 18.104.22.168browser 6.0.0bubble bash 2.0calculator 6.0.0calendar 6.0.0clock 6.0.0contacts.0.0email setup application 6.11.0216.1323facebook 20.0.50file explorer 6.0.0google maps 4.5.3google talk 2.5.108help 22.214.171.124home screen 6.0.0media, memopad, mesages, options, password lock, phone, setup 6.0.0slacker radio 3.1.152social feeds 126.96.36.199tasks 6.0.0twcrtfree 1.5twitter 188.8.131.52visual voice mail 184.108.40.206voice dialing 6.0.0Internet 220.127.116.11
