My blackberry storm that I have had for over a year has now just started all of a sudden started shutting itself down and rebooting and then will drain the battery completely once rebooted (even if charged fully right before). This happens several times a day, sometimes twice in a row. Went to the verizon store and they said they were unable to help me because my warranty has expired a few months ago. This is so frustrating and makes me want to just switch to the new Iphone! Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix to this, considering it is a fault of the phone and not a user induced issue?
Okay so i got a gamestop refurbished iPhone 3gs and yesterday everything was working out great and the phone was working fine. Today on the other hand, i encountered my phone randomly shutting off by itself. Once it did it when i opened the camera app and the others were from txt messages or using the internet. The battery was around 50% or so too so it was far from a dead battery. Once the phone shuts off, sometimes i can reboot the phone and other times i need to plug it in to reboot.
This past 2 weeks ive had a problem with my Desire. It's shutting itself down randomly, today it did so 3 times, once during a call. It boots without any problems when i press the power button. It can take a few hours, or a day, or it might even not happen for 1-2 days but for the past 2 weeks it has shut itself down a total of 9 times so i have to start it with the power button.
my girlfriends curve 9300 has been randomly shutting itself off. It's a little over a year old (no longer in warranty) and has no water damage. Once shut off, it needs to be plugged-in in order to start itself back up (hard restart process, taking apprx. 3 minutes). We have tried replacing the battery, I have reset it to factory settings, reloaded the OS from scartch, upgraded, downgraded, everythign I could think of, and yet the problem persists. We went to her provider (Virgin Mobile) but they were useless, and told us to make sure the blackberry is fully upgraded and if its still not working then we're out of luck.I understand that the blackberry is now out of warrantly however I am interested in the approximate cost and time for a repair, and we really can't afford a new blackberry at the moment.
I've been having trouble with my phone a lot lately. The battery doesn't last more than 3 hours, so I just assumed I was in need of a new battery..Then tonight it suddenly shut off, and then when it restarted it shut off again and continued to do this until I took out the battery to restart it.I took out the Micro SD card, in case that's the problem. Also it only turns back on when it is plugged into a charger..
They will automatically shut down and reboot. It seems to be very sensitive to being set down, even into my purse. It is random and can happen constantly or just a few times a day. It is showing the water damage indicator on the battery, but neither phone has really every been wet. The person at our retail store said it is very sensitive to humidity -(such as being in the bathroom during a shower) and we have had very high humidity levels in our area lately, but that seems rather extreme that our 2 1/2 month old phones can't stand the heat and humidity? They are both working properly if we can get them to stay on.
I thought it was the battery; got a new one; it worked fine for about 2 hours; and now it's not working. When I plug the phone into my laptop, I'm 'told' I have no BB software.
I've had my Nexus 5 since it came out in 2013. Earlier this year I started having an issue in which the phone would just randomly shut off. I would power it back on and it would still have a lot of charge left.
At first, it was sporadic, but then it was gradually doing it more and more frequently (many, many times per day) until it was virtually unusable unless plugged it.
I ordered a new battery and replaced the old one and then the phone worked just fine again... up until a few weeks ago when it began doing it again, and it has been gradually doing it more and more frequently just like last time.
I've only had the new battery for about four months.
I've got an iPhone 4 that shuts down randomly, first it was not that often, now it several times a day. I really getting annoying. I've checked the apple website and it said that my warranty has expired. What to do?
So I was on my phone using Safari when all of a sudden it shuts off and will not respond, I tried the awake+menu and alas to no avail so I plugged it in to my wall charger and it powers on saying that it's at 100% and that it's Wednesday December31 at 7:01 then says a restore is necessary and is now randomly shutting off and on. In addition the time is changing within a few minutes of what it was before every time it comes back on. It also says cannot make or receive calls and that a restore from iTunes is necessary and it says apple.com/support. But I am not with my computer and will not be so for another couple days. Is there anyway I can do this from my phone it will not allow me to access Wi-Fi or 3G the signal bar says Searching... Lastly, when disconnected from the cord it will cut off and not respond.
Having a bit of a problem with my phone, it just keeps shutting off randomly. I just came back from holiday and noticed it recently. It shuts off in random intervals, sometimes a couple of hours and sometimes 30 minutes or less. I doubt it has anything to do with the software as it was fine before i went on holiday, and now it keeps acting up.
Brand New Blackberry only a few months old. ATT Bold 9900. All of a sudden in the last couple of days, it has been shutting down randomly. It starts right back up but within a few hours it will shut down again. Also can u back it up without plugging into computer?
My phone is powering down on its own and rebooting on its own. I have tried restoring to factory settings and resyncing from a back up and it didn't work. There r several codes under my Diagnostics and usage. What's wrong with my iPhone5?
My smartphone is shutting down and resetting randomly. Sometimes it doesn't restart automatically, I'm obliged to force the restart by taking the battery off and replug it.
I have a Gravity 2 which is randomly shutting down and rebooting.Anybody else here experienced the same issue, and if so is it correctable? Network = WIND Is there newer firmware available for it?
I've recently been experiencing on my SGS II that it shuts itself down in the night (usually at similar hours). I have also done some research in this matter and found out that this was also plaguing the previous Galaxy phone. I have the latest KWE7 update and i'm pretty sure it didn't happen before that.
So i uninstalled the few apps ive downloaded since the 2.3.4 update and still my phone randomly shuts off and sometimes it freezes. Ill go to make a call or scroll through the screens and for no reason the screen turns black and the only thing that i can do is pull down the notification bar... i have to turn it off and back on for it to work again. My husband has the same phone and his does the same thing since the update so i dont think its a app.
I've had my Incredible since it came out, and within the last couple of days the screen has started turning on randomly and not shutting off. It is killing my battery unless I notice it right away and turn it off.
i've been having issues with my bb torch 9800 (6.0 bundle 2647), randomly shutting down. when i finally get it to turn back on, it reboots.i've tried working with at&t tech support for a solution, but nothing we've tried has worked long term, and it's very frustratini've tried:soft resets (taking out the battery while phone is off)hard resets (taking out the battery while phone is on)master reboots (wipping phone clean of all data and software, then re-installing software)i have very limited media/apps on my phone, yet, this issues keeps occurinfree memory: 315974563 bytesapplications installed: at&t code scanner 2.0.14blackberry app world 3.0.1.29blackberry maps 6.0.0.32blackberry essenger5.0.2.12blackberry podcasts 1.5.0.28browser 6.0.0bubble bash 2.0calculator 6.0.0calendar 6.0.0clock 6.0.0contacts.0.0email setup application 6.11.0216.1323facebook 20.0.50file explorer 6.0.0google maps 4.5.3google talk 2.5.108help 3.0.0.32home screen 6.0.0media, memopad, mesages, options, password lock, phone, setup 6.0.0slacker radio 3.1.152social feeds 1.0.0.58tasks 6.0.0twcrtfree 1.5twitter 2.0.0.16visual voice mail 3.0.0.129voice dialing 6.0.0Internet 1.0.0.40
Anyone have any problems with there Atrix just randomly shutting down and restarting? It's happend 2 times so far once while I was in the middle of a call and another while useing the browser.
This has been very random. did it in my pocket, out of my pocket, on the charger and off. The phone is not overly hot. warm only when on the charger or in my pocket. This morning I have rebooted it several times. (I hold the power button for 10 seconds.)
This started about a week ago and has gotten so bad that it takes 6-7 hours to recharge from 30% battery life with minimal use while plugged in. There are no apps running from what I can see.Â
I bought an iPhone 4s in November 2013. The phone is through Sprint. (didn't know if that made a difference or not.) In the past 7 months the phones apps have been opening & shutting right down, the app might stay on for 2 minutes if you're lucky. It started out with my Facebook app shutting down, then it progressed to other apps & the repeated random shutdowns have been getting worse. The phone itself overheats without even being plugged into the charger. The Safari is now beginning to close randomly. I called my carrier & they said that they could run a diagnostics test on my phone to see what's making it do what it's doing. Since the phone has been shutting down & randomly shutting apps off for over 7 months, they've ruled out the option of it being a bad software through Apple.
Recently my Storm 2 has been shutting itself down like it would if I had pulled my battery. Why is it doing that and is there any way to fix it? I have to pull the battery regularly to get it to start working anyway, but it's frustrating to be waiting on a phone call or message and realize it's completely powered down. Also, my BBM takes forever to send or receive messages Still. The only reason I got a Blackberry was to talk to my husband in Afghanistan through BBM. Some days it works perfectly and some days it can take hours to receive messages. Is this just a RIM problem or something with my phone? It's a new phone and it seems silly for there to be so many problems with it.
I have a storm 9530 which has worked alright for me for a little over a year now. Then one day my phone started shutting down on me in the middle of any kind of use. To be more specific if I am on the phone making a call, I can go no longer than 10-20 minutes before my phone shuts down on me on a full battery! It will be at 100% then when I start to do things like make a phone call, or do some texting for 10-20 minutes none stop, use an app of any sort for more than 10 minutes, basically any kind of extended use and my phone will shut down on me. Then it will start to reboot and sometimes it will turn back on but then will have only 20% battery or other times it can't even start back up until a battery pull and being plugged into a charger. Now I have my phone almost always on a charger whenever I need to use it and it is getting really annoying having it shut down all the time. The phone does get hot at times when running these apps, music, phone call etc...What is going on here?? Has my phone gone bad? Do I just need a new battery? I am running the v5.0.0.328 (platform 4.2.0.128).
