Recently my Storm 2 has been shutting itself down like it would if I had pulled my battery. Why is it doing that and is there any way to fix it? I have to pull the battery regularly to get it to start working anyway, but it's frustrating to be waiting on a phone call or message and realize it's completely powered down. Also, my BBM takes forever to send or receive messages Still. The only reason I got a Blackberry was to talk to my husband in Afghanistan through BBM. Some days it works perfectly and some days it can take hours to receive messages. Is this just a RIM problem or something with my phone? It's a new phone and it seems silly for there to be so many problems with it.
My blackberry storm that I have had for over a year has now just started all of a sudden started shutting itself down and rebooting and then will drain the battery completely once rebooted (even if charged fully right before). This happens several times a day, sometimes twice in a row. Went to the verizon store and they said they were unable to help me because my warranty has expired a few months ago. This is so frustrating and makes me want to just switch to the new Iphone! Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix to this, considering it is a fault of the phone and not a user induced issue?
I have a storm 9530 which has worked alright for me for a little over a year now. Then one day my phone started shutting down on me in the middle of any kind of use. To be more specific if I am on the phone making a call, I can go no longer than 10-20 minutes before my phone shuts down on me on a full battery! It will be at 100% then when I start to do things like make a phone call, or do some texting for 10-20 minutes none stop, use an app of any sort for more than 10 minutes, basically any kind of extended use and my phone will shut down on me. Then it will start to reboot and sometimes it will turn back on but then will have only 20% battery or other times it can't even start back up until a battery pull and being plugged into a charger. Now I have my phone almost always on a charger whenever I need to use it and it is getting really annoying having it shut down all the time. The phone does get hot at times when running these apps, music, phone call etc...What is going on here?? Has my phone gone bad? Do I just need a new battery? I am running the v5.0.0.328 (platform 4.2.0.128).
My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
I have a blackberry curve 8250 and for the past couple of weeks, it has been either randomly shutting off or going on the white screen of death. The only way i can get it to turn on again, is by plugging it into the charger. What should i do?I have just recently updated it to the software version 5.0?
It started off when my phone would just restart once or twice a day, then it started restarting about 5 times in a row. A lot of people I asked said it could be malware, so I deleted a few of my apps that could have infected my phone, but it still kept restarting. It eventually got worse - I should mention I use two batteries for my phone - when one battery is in my phone it just shuts down and I have to remove the battery and put it back in before I turn it back on. The other battery (the original one that came with my phone) won't turn on - it'll show the first LG screen then shut down, and it just keeps doing that, unless i have it plugged into the charger. When its on the charger it will work fine, and for a few minutes after I unplug it, it will work fine, but then it will still shut down. I ended up resetting my phone to factory settings, but the problem hasn't changed.
My iPhone 3gs keeps turning itself off, then the apple logo turns up for like 3 minutes, and then it goes onto the lock screen and i go to unlock it and it just turns itself off again. It doesnt find reception and the battery goes in like 1 hour from 100% to 0. It also gets really really hot.
Just bought it less than a week ago, from the Apple store. It's shut down on its own twice - just going straight off. Plus has rebooted alone at least once that I know of. Is this defective or is there a software problem with the OS?
I got a new iphone 4s last week and for the past few days every couple of hours it shuts off and i have to hold down the power and home button to get it to start back up, while it is still under warranty should we take it in or is there something i can do?
Is Blackberry Messenger shutting down? Because I keep getting all of these broadcasts and I don't know what to believe! People are saying that it is but people are saying its not?
Over the last 24 hours my Curve 8520 keeps randomly shutting itself off. I am also e problems experiencing with emails, social media updates and web browsing. I have had the handset for nearly three months. Emails, are not displaying properly, unable to web browse, delay in receiving Twitter updates and Facebook updates. Facebook won't refresh and Twitter is behaving nonsensically.
I have contacted Vodafone phone, firstly they advised me that it could be the sim card and and a new sim would be dispatched and they also advised me to reset the phone ( by taking the battery out) and refresh my mobile network which I did. However, problem still continued. I contacted them again and they carried out diagnostics at their end and advised me that it was the handset and I should send it off for repair. Which I will do but just wanted to hear other users thoughts/advice on what the problem could be. It is so odd that it has started to act up in the last 24 hours.
This has been happening a lot lately. My phone will be fully charged then all of a sudden it shuts off and if it turns back on, it shows the battery is just about dead. It is not a battery issue as I just purchased a new one, I have had this phone for about a year now and it just started happening. It can happen when I'm at home, at work, in the car, etc. I don't even have to be using it.
I have a curve 9300 running os 6.0.0.600 and whenever the battery gets to about 30% the device just shuts off and I have to plug the charger in before it starts turn on again. This only happened a couple of weeks ago. I cannot find anything online related to this. Is this a battery malfunction and do i have to take the device back to my carrier?
For the past week, my phone has been shutting off out of no where and I wanna know what it is, because it's getting really annoying, in the middle of calls and texts it turns off. I've been thinking its the battery but I've searched and people say that it might be the software as well.
I press the power button or double tap the screen, and, in about 3-5 seconds, the phone's screen closes again. It's to the point where I have no time to put in my passcode without the screen closing. Thus, I can't restart the phone either because the screen closes.
My iphone since yesterday is shutting down and restarting like every 3 minutes. Also, if I plug it to charge the battery, it appears like the battery was at 100% but not.
Ive never dropped or spilled anything on my phone, and i've only had it for less than 7 months. It will randomly turn off and I will try to restart it. It freezes on the restart screen so i usually have to restart it again. Also, sometimes the screen will spit for a couple of seconds but thats minor compared to it shutting off on me 5 times a day. Im thinking its a hardware glitch, but at the same time i'm not very tech savvy! Im wondering if i have to pay for it and what's the process of them fixing/replacing my phone? Im a student and everything i have is on my phone so im really hoping i wont be without a phone for a week or so just so they can figure out the problem!
I've iPhone 4 Version 5.1 ..Suddenly It Shutdown in Battery of 30% When I Tried To Turn It On .. a Screen Of Low Battery Appears.I Update it .. Restore It But No Change at All?Should I Replace The Battery ??
Okay so i got a gamestop refurbished iPhone 3gs and yesterday everything was working out great and the phone was working fine. Today on the other hand, i encountered my phone randomly shutting off by itself. Once it did it when i opened the camera app and the others were from txt messages or using the internet. The battery was around 50% or so too so it was far from a dead battery. Once the phone shuts off, sometimes i can reboot the phone and other times i need to plug it in to reboot.
My iPhone 4 developed a problem where it shuts itself off intermittently, sometimes at night when it is unattended (and yes, the battery was fully charged). It is my 2nd iPhone 4 with this problem, and from what I see on this forum, not an uncommon problem with this device. Apparently it is a known hardware issue with some iPhone's and the refurbished units they use as replacement devices have not been expunged of this circuit board demon.
Rather than swap out my phone for a new one (or even another refurb), I was given the possible explanations:An application is crashing the OS. (I interpret this statement as IOS 5 is no further evolved than Windows 3.1 where an app can crash the entire OS)An application may be using too much memory causing the phone to shut down (Really? No OS protection or throttling to prevent this?)A 3rd party application might have had a bad update in the App Store and Apple does not review updates (Really? So if I publish an app in the store, I can then update it with miscellaneous viruses and malware? Whoo Hoo)It could be usage (Translation: using an iPhone 4 to play music, run apps and make phone calls may cause the device to fail. Sounds like a breach of Warranty for Fitness of Intended Purpose) I am not an Apple hater. I just want my phone replaced with a non-defective device. I don't appreciate the total run-around and denial of responsibility on Apple's part.
My brand new iphone 4s has been shutting down all by itself whenever I try to take a video on the camera app. It is not the battery, my battery is charged, and it only happens when using the camera app. I can take pictures and my phone will stay on, but whenever I take videos it turns off. Does anyone know why this happens or what I should do about it?
