my bold 9900's touch screen isn't as responsive as my friends, it works perfectly fine but it doesn't if i touch it really softly. i just wanted to know if there is any problem
Yesterday my Xperia started having what's described as the "ghost touch" issue. After shutting the phone down, nothing was looking better. At this point, when I boot up the phone, I can enter my sim-pin, start the camera by the dedicated button and touch objects to focus. I can also select things in the restart/shut down menu. However, the lock sceen is all but responsive. The fact that I have partial touchscreen functionality gives me the hope that the problem is software related rather than a hardware issue. However, since I can't get past the lock screen, it's also impossible for me to reboot the phone to factory settings.
i have been going on and on with this.. My phone just isnt very responsive and the selections i make on the screen are not where i actually and clicking or selecting with my finger.. its like the screen needs calibrated or something.
I currently have an issue with my Xoom 2, the Touchscreen has become non responsive and I am trying to shutdown to re-boot. However, as I am not able to press the button on screen to shut the unit down I am now stuck with a unit I cannot do anything with. I am guessing the only thing I can do is wait for the battery to run down so that way I can re-boot. However this is going to take days as the screen has a timeout of like 10 - 20 seconds so the battery is hardly being used. Is there any other way of shutting down the system? Ive tried holding the power button down but this does nothing. I really cannot believe Motorola did not put some sort of reset button somewhere in the unit.... Or would it make sense to attach to my PC and maybe be able to reboot?
I need to disable the touchscreen on my Blackberry Bold 9900 its rediculus all this product development and nobody at blackberry, muted call, put on hold and redilaled with there ear touching the touch screen? i dont like my new 9900 for that reason.
yesterday my phone switches off automatically at battery level 15, and today at battery level 25 the phone switches off again... Then at the moment I plug my charger cable into my phone (at battery level 15) it reboots and after the reboot the touchscreen no longer works. Then I upgraded Whatsapp and rebooted my phone again to see if it is fixed, but it still isn't the touchscreen simply doesn't work... It doesn't respond when I press on screen icon or scroll or whatever I do.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices. There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water. The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.
Since this morning i experience the problem that when i switch my phone on i cannot use the touchscreen. No input is accepted. When i switch the phone off and remove the battery and then switch it on the problem dissapears...
I recently got a 9790 and it was working fine for about a month or so however recently I've noticed that the touch seems to stop responding. I have to do a physical battery pull and then it starts working again. I thought maybe it is a software issue and upgraded to the official 7.0.0.592 yesterday however the problem still remains the same.
My Blackberry Bold 9930 does not display the option to Enable or Hide the Qwerty Keyboard.I rebooted and checked Options > Typing and Language > Keyboard. The Keyboard Screen only displays Keypad Settings.
Key Tone: Key Rate: Currency Key:
The Enable Virtual Keyboard Hide Bar is not displayed here with a Checkbox!
Since this morning I am unable to open any notifications (whatsapp, bbm, facebook, etc) via the touchscreen! I must physically press the trackpad button to view all messages. Is it a setting that changed by itself? I only received this phone 2 weeks ago.
Only about 2 days ago I bought a new Blackberry Bold 9900 with Virgin Mobile and unfortunately I had it resting on a table when a dart landed on top of the screen while I was away. Sadly, now the screen is cracked in the upper left area and the touchscreen is completely irresponsive. I can still see everything on the screen and manuever using the buttons. Along with this, when I run my hand across the crack, I cannot even feel it, so the crack seems to be under the initial protective coating.
I have just upgraded to the new Bold 9930 and I'm experiencing intermittent issues with the touch screen where it appears to have a mind of its own. Specifically the cursor will randomly scroll up without user input. Sometimes it's a line or two but usually it's all the way back to the top of the content currently being displayed on the screen.
That is to say that I was doing something to make it happen like touching the screen with multiple fingers but I have observed the actions with absolutely no contact with the screen so it can't be inadvertent touching. Then I thought that it might be the screen protector I installed.
I use the Invisible Shield products by Zagg so I uninstalled the screen protector and carefully cleaned the screen with a microfiber cloth but it continues to randomly scroll. I have no apps installed other than what the phone came with and I have tried with and without a memory card installed but the random behavior continues.
the thing is that when i stay on one app for a bit or i leave my phone about doing nothig on it, it seems my outside function keys (ie. settings, menu, back button) won't work! i've read about how the x10 has unresponsive keys to it bu i never thought that i'd have to turn my phone on an off 10 times just to look at my face book!
My sony z3 screen not responsive after i drop it in the water, the camera button and other thing is still working, but i cant press the screen, sony Indonesia didnt let me exchange the phone either.
my phone is having touch screen problems literally the top and bottom dont work but the middle is about an hr later i notices a hairline crack on the screen it looks external as screen has not been damaged internally by looking at other peoples questions and answers it looks like a hardware problem because where the crack is the touch is working.... the crack has appeared the phone was never dropped so im wondering how it cracked?
i have restored factory settings and now my iphone is stuck with the apple screen and isnt recognised in itunes anymore, any know how to resolve this? i have updated itunes to the latest version and restarted my computer(windows xp) but still nothing?
I have a Nokia N96 with the latest version of software (which has been operating ok for now - and I think that the N96 has Symbian OS 2.3 or something?)
I installed a program on my phone and it warned that my memory was low --> "Memory low. Delete or move some data from c: Phone memory" so I uninstalled a 2mb theme.
I then installed a little divx player which I thought wouldn't be much but then I turned off my phone and on (the other program said that I had to reboot my phone) and then my phone would start up and it would start loading up but it would immediately display the "Memory low. Delete or move some data from c: Phone memory" error (while it was trying to autoload everything that autoloads on the phone).
When this error message comes up the only option is "Ok" but the OK button is non-responsive (we all know that these phones take a while to load up) and within a couple seconds (you can't push a button and get a single response out of the phone to even try sort the problem out) the phone switches off and then switches back on with the same error without being able to do anything about it - perpetual loop!
Because it is in this perpetual loop I tried pluggin in my cable to delete data off C: (anything I could possibly get to in time) but it doesn't pick it up in time!
So, I am stuck in this "Low memory loop" without being able to get out of it. I desperately need my phone, I was thinking there would be a soft-on startup (e.g. hold x and y buttons for example and switch on and it doesn't load up some autoload stuff?) but I couldn't find one after *extensive* googling and forum-browsing.
My screen is completely black. The keys at the very bottom light up (between the “htc”). When is not connected shows the green blinking light, when connected for charging the light is red but the screen remains black either way. Calls go direct to voice mail. It is charged. Tried turning off and on, but no change just the T-Mobile sound and sometimes a small vibration. Phone was working fine in the morning; the alarm app works fine, had to use the HTC flashlight but didn’t work. Took a photo, and the flashlight did work.
if i double tap the home button to bring up the multitasking bar it kicks me back to the home screen. if i double tap it again it opens the multitasking bar. is this is a software problem or a hardware problem?
In the past couple of days, I am having trouble with the touchscreen on my Neo V. It does not respond as well as it did before. For instance, the slide unlock takes 3 times to slide before actually unlocking. The upper notifications bar does not get pulled down easily. And while scrolling, I end up opening something appearing on the screen wherever the finger is touching while scrolling. All this did not happen before. I performed a system test as well, which does not really show any problem with the touchscreen. Restarting the phone did not help either. What could be the issue then?
Proud Atrix owner since 2/22/11...Had to replace my Atrix today with another one because the top 1/4 of the screen became unresponsive to touch. It was a sad day. I didn't do anything to it either. Good news...My backup Pro...was able to put all of my texts back into my phone...not in perfect order...but they are there. The call log was replaced! The desktop was put just like I had it! It was a pretty good move...just lost my pictures and had to redownload everything
