BB Bold 9700 :: Lost Word / Excel Reader
May 26, 2010I went to install some software on my 9700 through DM and it removed the Word/Excel readers from Applications. Does anyone know how how I can get those back?

Jul 15, 2010I got my new (used, but new to me) Bold 9650 today. I have it activated and working, but can't seem to find word, excel, etc. How do I add this? I know my Tour came with it.

Jan 31, 2016I use to be able edit documents on my lumia 640. i have a personal sub to microsoft up until 2018 but i cannt edit documents on my lumia 950. ive go to the microsoft webpage and tried to install from the page and says there is a error. if i try to edit a document i have to renew the office 365. I have the 1 TB onedrive i dont understand why its not appearing the office isnt appearing on my phone.

Apr 30, 2012I recently downloaded Microsoft Mobile apps including word excel powerpoint using Nokia suite, in my Nokia E7 phone, the size was 50 mb, nokia suite confirmed that files are downloaded and installed and restarted the phone. But after restarting I can't see any changes in the microsoft apps. all the microsoft apps are as it was onenote, Lync, document, and powerpoint broadcast. but then where is word, excel and PowerPoint? Won't it come as a new icon?

I need the companion software to sync the Word and Excel files on my PC with the DTG on the 9850, since the BB Desktop doesn't seem to include those files. From where do I download the Documents To Go Desktop application for PC that is compatible with the RIM 9850? The manufacturer of DTG says to go to RIM for support.

Aug 24, 2010I have had my blackberry for nearly 8 months now, and i have had nothing but trouble with it. It first started when i tried getting on blakberry app world, but it said APN not specified, my blackberry messenger also dissapeared, i tried turning it on and off then took the battery out, but nothing worked and i lost bb app world all together, and is now nowhere to be found. Jan 1, 2010So on New Years Eve I had my pone turned off from 10pm - 1am. Upon turning it back on I found that all the pictures I had taken in the previous 2 weeks were deleted, all but one picture that is. Now, a few days ago my phone wouldn't show pictres in the media tab at all, so I took out the battery and replaced it and pictures showed up. I tried this again for fiding these pictures and it didn't work. Have I lost all of my pictures or will they magically come back again? Anyone else having this issue?

Jun 9, 2010I have a Bold 9700 on the Bell Network and have lost all the BB functions. Phone was working fine and then I lost all ability to access email and BBM.
The email icons are there but the BBM icon vanished along with all my other app icons (NHL, Weather, ZoomPass etc.). I've also noticed that the blackberry logo that is usually beside the 3G icon in the top right is also gone. What is weird is that the phone can still make calls, text and browse. Bell data support says everything is fine on there end. I've wiped the unit via JL_Cmder and reinstalled the latest OS 5.0.0.545 and still not working.
BB Bold 9700 :: Lost All Media After Powering Up
Jan 3, 2010My 9700 was being real buugy, not allowing me to open a sms text. So I powered the phone off then back on. I wanted to add some music, when I looked in the music folder I noticed all of my media had been deleted. Not real happy with RIM. I guess this is why the BB is known for being a work tool and not a media device.

Jan 30, 2010I have the bold 9700 V5.0.0.321 I had all my contacts duplicated due to sync of my phone with the gmail.on one the contact it duplicate about 10 names and when i tried to delete one of them it deleted everyone of those names. I found out (maybe the wrong way) that you go to the address book press Options -> then press R S E T -> which deleted all of my contacts in the address book and now I cant restore it back. Every time I input the data names and numbers it wont save it. I had the back up but it says the DM doesn't recognise the data. Is there anyone that can help me on how to put my contacts back into my phone.

Aug 14, 2010Anyone else noticed after updating to 5.0.0.743 that they've lost the ability to stand-by with top right button? Is there an option somewhere i'm not looking to set what each button does.
I do alot of single handed typing/everything on this phone and it's impossible with my hands to reach the keyboard lock button. It also increases the risk i will drop my phone in the lake when boating because the only way to single handedly reach the keyboard lock is to remove my right hands pinky from below the phone thats holding it up, pinch the screen to twist it and then press the button (all single handedly).

I searched for solutions, found few places talking about the update software would be creating a .ipd backup file before updating OS, but didn't find any on the PC. It never has been sync or backed up..
