How do i make BB 9700 light blink when the battery is low?I loved my BB 8900 because the light would blink, but the 9700 just shuts off and it says to conserve power. The 8900 would never do that. Can someone help guide me, so i can turn the indicator on when the battery is low?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter I came home from work yesterday I decided to go charge my BB, but unfortunately what would always happen was that whenever I plugged in the charger, a red light would appear to blink on my BB and it wouldn't turn on or work, I then decided to let it charge over night to see if that would do the trick. Later this morning I checked on my Torch again to find out that it wouldn't even turn on still. I tried connecting it to the computer to see if it could charge from there but no luck was found. do a quick pull out of the battery and put it back in to see if a reboot would fix the problem, no luck. They then told me to do the same thing, only this time when the red light appears I'd hold the space button so that the BB would boot into safe mode, no luck. He then told me too try to reload the OS of my BB through BB Desktop Manager. Too bad I couldn't even connect my handheld to my computer.
see if there's anything else that I could do that would fix my BB. Note that I'd like a way in which I don't need to wipe my BB's memory, since I haven't backed up the data yet(I just bought this 2 days ago). But if I have too, I will.

day before yesterday i was travelling and its battery got fully discharged. after that its not powering up ,
I tried to contact Sony xperia support via call and they asked me to Start my phone in safe mode but it was also not working. till yesterday it was vibrating and nothing was coming on display,but now even its not viberating,

One thing I miss about my Blackberry, I could set up Profiles for different sound configurations (Normal, Loud, Vibrate, Silent, etc.), and each action on the phone I could control in each profil always had all LED notifications OFF except for Voice Mail and Text Messaging. Is it normal for my 9700 to take more than 5 minutes to start up?? Its strange because not to long ago I used to do battery pulls or a soft reset and my device would be up and running within a minute or two!! By the time it load up my battery is almost drained!

The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.

After updating the Blackberry App World software and rebooting the device, the red light began flashing as soon as the phone turned back on even though there were no new notifications, and no updates required. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my AT&T Blackberry Bold 9700 since November of 2009 and am just experiencing this problem. My device is set so the back light goes off after 20 seconds. Whenever I put it down or lock it, the back light goes off just as it should. But, within 5-10 minutes, it turns back on without provocation and won't shut off again until I unlock and re-lock the phone.
As you can imagine, this is killing my battery life. I've tried playing with the settings, but nothing seems to do the trick. I've rebooted several times and removed the battery twice, but neither has worked. Anyone encounter this issue and/or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
This is wierd. This is the second time I noticed my email notification red light is not working. I usually only find out because I may go and check the blackberry device itself and notice email icon shows email messages, yet the flash notification icon does not flash. Why is this? Is it a known bug>?

The pictures were fixed but the LED light that flashes when there's an alert won't stop flashing. It flashes red several times then stops for a minute or two then flashes again.
