I have just received my new bold 9700 handset. I have set up both my gmail and Hotmail accounts.Unfortunately, I can't seem to receive any mails from my hotmail on my handset even though they do arrive on my hotmail. This is not the case with gmail, which seems to work fine and push the emails to my handset as soon as they arrive. Can any one please help me out here?
View 2 RepliesSome time ago I received a notification stating that I needed to verify my password to continue receive emails from my Hotmail account. The instruction stated that I needed to launch the Setup Wizard and click on the Email Accounts icon and then select the "Internet mail Account" icon to verify my password. I follow the instructions but, when I click on the "Internet mail Account" icon nothing happens and my only available option is "return to Setup".

I have contacted T-Mobile and they tried to help me, however they told me, after few tires, that BB does not support Hotmail accounts.

But I'm loving it!My question is about my hotmail account.
When I send messages from the BB they do not appear in my outlook 07 and vice versa, is there a way to make it do this?I would also like to get all of my old message from outlook (pre BB) onto the BB for reference, is this possible?
I am trying to set up a new Curve 9320 to receive email from my hotmail account. the email set up takes me directly to enterprise accounts and doesn't appear to have an option for setting up the internet email account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just swapped a Bold for a Torch. I'm trying to sync my hotmail email account to it. I go to the set-up wizard as per usual and I'm told to "move my email accounts to receive emails to my new device" It tells me to insert my password, which I do. Message pops up saying the password has been verified. Then that's it. It just then has the option of returning to setup options. I go to my Messages folder and its tells me that no message services has been configured and it all starts again. My Facebook messages are in there but no hotmail.

Issue: NOT able to receive any text messages. I can send messages and they are all being delivered. I pulled the battery and re-registered the host routing table. This happened last week, so they replaced the device and SIM in the store. Now it's happening again.Does anyone know what to do? I really don't want to call Tech Support.
I remember when Hotmail messages used to come in a lot faster when I had my Bold 9700. Did something change recently on Hotmail's server?I called AT&T today and tried a few things and it looks like my Hotmail messages are coming in faster but still taking at least 5 minutes.My Exchange messages come in a lot faster as expected.Anyone else have this problem? I did delete all my accounts at least twice today. At one point only one email icon would appear (not including the messages icon) but after deleting the one that didn't appear, it fixed it.Hotmail still slow though.

Also, when I go to setup/email accounts and click on the icon, it will either freeze on me, or say no accounts have been set up.

But one problem i'am having trouble with sending and receiving text messages. I have called att customer care numerous times and powered cycled my phone as many times as I can count but still nothing, I have also checked to see if the "service center" number is correct and it is, I still have no clue what it could be. When i send an sms text message and scroll up to the message it says "sent" and the date and time but i ask the recipient if he/she has received the text but still nothing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI received my upgrade on Monday - a shiney new Blackberry Bold 9700. After setting it all up and getting the phone how i liked it, I started to notice problems........
My Blackberry messenger either didn't work or sent & received messages hours after they were actually sent.The internet was painfully slow if it loaded at all.
If I tried to make calls it would rarely work either taking forever to connect or when it did try to connect, I would hear a triple beep repeatedly as though there was a problem.When people tried to call me, they would go straight to my voicemail even though I was not on a call and had full signal.
My network provider immediately agreed to replace the handset and get me a new one out the next day and today I received the new handset. I've come home, tried to make a few calls on the handset before setting it up and all I am getting is an SOS symbol where the signal symbol should be and I am not able to make calls or do anything else.
I tried to restore the backed up file from my last handset and although it restored my numbers & text messages as well as my background image & alarms, it has not restored my programmes that I had installed and it has not restored my email and facebook settings. Am I doing something wrong or do I have another faulty handset?
I'm having two issues with texting on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.

My wife's is instant and so are a few others who use hotmail on their bolds. Can i anyway get this issue resolved? I'm having to use gmail as a secondary email account just so that I get instant replies when I need them.

I have 3 accounts that run off the hotmail server, yet I can NOT get my phone to sync up with the server to delete my messages from the inbox and the phone. I even tried going back to my 8320 and the messages were deleted off the hotmail server. I'm so frustrated with the 9700 not working. Any one know how to fix this issue!

My first and main account is with hotmail.co.uk, my second account is with googlemail.com.It might be important to note that my password for both is the same, but I dont see this as an issue as it consits of only letters and numbers.Also, my girlfriend input her hotmail.com account and it worked fine. So why does it work for her and not me?! I have tried to get a hotmail.com account but for some reason only hotmail.co.uk and live.co.uk are the only options for new email accounts here.This problem is also reflected in the Facebook application, whereas my girlfriend input her facebook username (which is her hotmail.com address) and it worked. When I input my Facebook username (my hotmail.co.uk address) it says that this is invalid!It is sooo frustrating and as a new blackberry user I feel a bit out of my depth

Got my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
