I have a Bold 9650 with Verizon and I set everything up to sync with outlook 2007 properly and it only picks up 2 contacts. I am running windows XP with the latest version of desktop manager. It syncs calender, memo pad etc fine but will only do those same two contacts each time. I have played with all the different settings within BB desktop manager but did not want to play with settings in outlook.
View 4 RepliesI upgraded to new Desktop Manager - 6.47 and now I can't sych my organizer data.I always get a message that wireless sychronization is in place but when I check this is not true.There are not even options to synchronize - memo pad, contacts, and tasks on my device.I even shut off all wireless services and still no change.Can't get satisfaction for Blackberry so called support.

I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.
My contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.
Trying to Sync via PC patch cable the BB Address Book (Contacts) with MS Outlook Contacts. Set-up failing apparently because wireless data sync with the Bold is turned ON. Can't locate referenced setting on the device to turn OFF.

I spent hours and hours putting all of my numbers in by hand and all was well. After I did that, I added my Yahoo email account to the phone. Now the phone numbers I hand puched are gone and all of the contacts are from the email account. My call log lists the names of the people who have called me, so I know the info is somewhere on the phone but I can't find it. I even deleted the email account, but the Yahoo cantacts are still there and the others are still not.

MS Outlook has a featured called "suggest names while completing the to: cc: bcc: fields..." where it does a similar thing. It will suggest any random name you've ever emailed, whether or not it's a contact. HOWEVER...you can delete that name right then and there.To me it seems similar to the predictive text input issue.I.e. one time computer was misspelled "comptuer" and now every time you type comp comptuer is suggested.It's not in the custom dictionary, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am an Executive Assistant and use Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis. I have up to 3 or more different calendars created for various things. This is the same case as with my Contacts. I have a separate contact list for my boss as I do for myself. And with regard to the calendars, I do this so I can print him off a calendar at any time without it being affected by anyone else's or my own appointments showing up.
I am very familiar with Blackberry's and my work has awesomely provided me with a new BB Bold 9650.THE ISSUE: My BB is syncing all calendars and contact lists. I DO NOT want to sync all these calendars and contact lists.I just want to sync certain calendars and only certain contact lists. My BB is a crazy ol' mess with contacts showing up 2 and sometimes 3 times and the one calendar I can view on my BB has my boss' appointments with my appointments and other crazy appointments.I swear I think my appointments even have appointments. LOL! (cheesy joke).WHAT I DO KNOW: My company is using a "BES" (?) server for wireless syncing. I have already tried going into options>advanced options>default services to change the calendar I am picking up. It's stuck and I do not have the ability to change it. I am guessing it's b/c my job has the phone "locked" with an IT policy.
I have searched and searched online to try and figure out how to get around this to no avail. I spoke with Verizon and they said to contact my IT Department. I contacted my IT Department and they said to contact Verizon. BTW, the pi$$-ant in I have to work with in IT is in a wrank mood today as most days. Always testy and I would just love if I could call him up and tell his know-it-all punk a$$ what he needs to do to fix the problem. If it's something I can do on my own, that would be even better.

Problem 2: Before, when I didin't get the Problem 1, I still could'nt synchro the calender properly because it was telling me to switch off the wireless connection, but the indication on how to desactivate it don't correspond to my BB menu!
I have bought BB Torch 9810 recently. And dowloaded latest version of BB Desktop software. I tried to synchronize the BB contact with Outlook 2007. However, it is taking 5 hours or more to do the same. And even after giving so much of time, it gives errors and only partial contacts are transferred to Outlook. (Previously I was using BB Torch and the sync was just taking 2-3 minutes).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with custom alerts that are set with some people and the active profile setting. here's what's going on...i have custom ringers on a few family members and since some of the ringers are low in volume, i set the volume individually. today i had to go to a memorial service and i decided to make sure my phone was on silent so i don't have my phone going on in the middle of the service. i set my profile to silent, called myself using my dad's phone and what do i hear, his ringer! i did a battery pull...same thing. i tried to call myself using my dad's phone again, but this time using *67 and no ringtone, just showed that i had a call coming through. with no time on my hands before heading out the door, i just turned off my phone.
Now i found an alternative, but not quite a solution...i can have custom ringtones for people, but not change the volume and whatever profile is set will happen. is there a better way? did i receive a faulty device, although i think it's more a software issue.
I newly installed the latest Ovi Suite 2.2.0.245 and it crashes when synchronisation with Outlook 2003 is initiated. Syncing the messages works. OS is Vista 32-bit. I could send a dump-file to the Nokia support, if desired.

The Device Manager log shows that Memo Pad data was transferred to the device. But I cannot find the Memo Pad Icon (or the Task icon or the Search Icon...). I've looked everywhere. From reading other posts, it appears that I may have to reinstall the device operating system. Is that the case? If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do this with a brand new BB.

For the contacts everything works fine, but the calender just doesn't synchronize properly. The events from my Outlook calender are taken to my phone, but all the calenders from my phone won't appear in Outlook.
Furthermore, everytime I try to synchronize the calendars all reminders for the events, as well as all recurring events are deleted on my iPhone,
Are there some configurations I have to do in Outlook? I'm using the most current version of iTunes (12.0.1)Â
