I am using visor mount paired with my curve 8900 and it is working well the only thing I am not able to get, is to transfer contact from my smartphone to the visor mount, so when I get a phone cal it is never recognized, and the voice tells me only the phone number blackberry 8900 v4.6.1.250 (platform 4.2.0.113)

I have a panel where my previous car holders used to be fixed to, which were all genuine Nokia ones (meaning the screws are all in the right place).I have looked for a car holder for the N8, and seen some really ideal ones, such as the CR-122. I say this is ideal because i want the compacity to be able to swivel it from portrait to landscape mode.The only snag is that the CR-122 is designed to be mounted to the car windscreen with the suction cup.is there a car holder like the CR-122, without the suction cup - but a screw-fixed adapter to fit to my panel?I really don't like using the windscreen mounted ones as i just can't get used to the position (whereever it is), not to mention blocking my view of the road.

Switched on to connect with my Curve 8900 but not getting any message from the headset (just saying "welcome" and "Not connected to phone". Also the 8900 is not showing the HS-700 among visible devices. It looks like is not first use (it could be.... It was not packed). How can I make the HS 900 visible to the 8900? Is there a reset procedure I should follow?

View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased a Belkin Micro USB Bluetooth dongle, plugged into my Vaio and installed drivers that came with the CD.
currently running Windows 7, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried unisntalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.
few days I got BB 8900 , and i bought Trust Bluetooth Adapter, when I install drivers for bluetooth it was normal sending ( normal speed ) I transfer song (5Mb) in 10 sec .. but now when in try 2 transfer song it took me about 6-7 hours .. is it problem with transfer speed , i saw that somewhere on my BB or my laptop, but i cant find it now can some1 tell me is that because that speed, or something alse.. If its because that, can some1 tell me where can I change that.. 10x

It then offers the "Troubleshoot my connection" link.If I go into the "Device Options" section of the Desktop Software, I can check the "Organizer" or "My computer's date and time..." boxes under "Synchronize" but the "Media" box is grayed out and cannot be checked.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 8900 which I love but which I think may have broken my spirit this time.When I go into my contacts to search for a contact it just goes on to 'Add contact' - when I type the contact name into the 'find contact' option it then decides to add a new one instead.It will let me search my SIM card contacts but, not being the cleverest of people, my contacts aren't all on my SIM.If I go through the Search icon on my desktop and search through contacts it will let me find them through there but I don't understand why my contacts bit has changed, and how to reverse this?
The contacts are there when I go to SMS someone but if I am trying to send a message through MMS (ie a picture) then the same contact search problem occurs.I am not the most technologically-minded of people but I really love this phone and I don't know what I have done wrong!!
I have duplicated contacts in my BB Curve 8900. The count given by BB is 1120 (my address book) but it seems it is more 3300 (3 times each). About 15 of them are not duplicated.It is synchronized with Lotus Notes with BES at the office (I think). All was perfect for many weeks. I install Desktop Manager at home and I twice export an ASCII file of my contacts to have them in Excel. Then my contacts were 2 times duplicated.
I try both solutions suggested on forums :
- RSET in Options on device : it wipes contacts and repopulate them later. But they were always present in the BB, even if in the options I can read Numbers :
- In Desktop Manager, Advanced option under Backup and Restore, I clear contacts (Address book, and Address book all) : databases show as empty with no records, but records are still there twice before repopulating. After that, each contact is present 3 times.
I have been looking for a solution on many forums without solving my problem even with many topics talking about it. I would like to remove all contacts from the address book and resync after.Anyone have any ideas about how to wipe Contacts that refuse to be wiped?
My device BB curve 8900, since I upgraded to OS 5, when I press add new contact no response. I cannot either edit any existing contact. I removed the battery and put it back again, same problem.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
Can any one point me in the right direction, I want to transfer my apps. etc to my new phone.

Can't find any info in the book or the help on the CD and software. I've backed up my 8900 and was going to restore the info on my 9700 cause I couldn't find the device transfer icon on my macbook but I know where it is on my work machine on Windows. Am I missing something here or am I just half asleep.
I have a wierd SMS problem with a couple of BB Curve 8900s. For some reason on this model SMS's are showing as coming from 1 contact (when there are a lot more) and when you hit reply it replies to that 1 contact and not to the person who actually sent it. I can't see any problems in the settings that could be causing this. Obviously the last thing I want to do is rebuild the devices so can anyone think of what might be causing this?

It now seems to accept all the latest purchases from iTunes but not the older/historic ones.I have tried this using the Blackberry Desk Top Manager synching. I know the upload and download arrows flash every once in a while when changing areas around town but I have a lot of up and down data transfer and its draining my battery. I deleted all my apps and I am using just a plain precision zen theme and wiped my phone and started fresh but its still happening. It seems to stop a little when I turn of WiFi and GPS and it completely stops when I turn off all radio services. If I do this my battery will last all day but if I turn everything back on my battery will be dead in about 3 hours.

I have a little problem, if we can consider this a problem. When i receave a SMS from a friend X, my Blackberry lag (the screen doesn't change, for like 0.5 sec). But when I receave a SMS from let's say Y, it can take up to 5 to 10 seconds before the screen move or I can move with the track pad to see the message. It's annoying.
So here is what I think, Is this because.. :
- I have over 35 000 SMS in the DB ?
- I have like 100 SMS from X and 5000 from Y ?
- My phone is on the vibrator but for Y he has a music ?
- Is this OS 5 ? But he is faster then OS 4 and I updated a while ago ?
