View 1 RepliesI have a BB8830 World Edition which was working perfectly before but just lost radio connections. It now displays SOS at the network notification area and would never connect to any GSM Network Carrier. I've swapped Sims, used the JL_Cmder to wipe and also restored back to factory setting but problem persisted.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI Just bought the Xoom Family Edition and it is a great tablet for the price.I wanted a dock for a boost in the speakers and to charge the tablet.I purchased the Xoom HD Speaker Dock - it's the same product right? just the Family Edition is a little scaled back. They have moved the USB and HDMI ports so it will not work with the XOOM docking stations. There is absolutely NO mention of this in the XOOM accessory descriptions (shame on Motorola). They need to fix the product description ASAP and note in BOLD that the XOOM accessories do NOT work with Xoom Family Edition.will the Family Edition tablet work with the Xoom 2 dock and accessories? Will they make a doc for the family edition?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy husband has 2 blackberry. One is active and the other non-active. Both are from verizon and the non-active bb is the world edition. I saw a sim card in it. can he still ask for sim unlock code for the non-active bb so that in case we travel to asia, we can buy a local sim card and use it? Is he still consider a verizon customer even though the one that he wants to unlock is a non-active bb.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe world edition purchased years ago came unlocked from Bell. It has served me well in India and other countries in that a local simm card could be used to reduce roaming charges. Recently in Africa I had no service. It also prompted to insert a simm card. The moment I returned to Toronto I had full service again. Would an operating system update fix this new bug ? If so, is where can I download the fix?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 8830 is now falling apart, after being of great service for more than 2 years. I am with Verizon. I cannot figure out which blackberry to go to.
Here is my must-have list:
- Actual keyboard (I cannot type on a virtual keyboard on a touch screen).
- Worldwide coverage. i.e. at least as much coverage as with my current 8830+SIM card
- WiFi
Basically I am looking for something similar to 8830, but with WiFi being the only added feature.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have collected probably 15 different chargers the last couple of years that I use at various locations to charge my Blackberry, iPhone, and a couple of Samsung Google Nexus Phones. That is every device other than the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the Torch before that. I get the familiar message "the charging source connected to your blackberry device cannot charge your battery", except when connected to RIM manufactured charger or fortunately the USB port on my laptop. How in the world can every phone other than RIM's Blackberry take a charge from the various power sources without problem. I had the problem to some degree on the Torch, but figured RIM would catch on and get it fixed. Now I have the new Bold 9900 and it does not even work on my trusted 12V car charger. If 4 or 5 different devices work with multiple chargers and the Bold 9900 does not work on any it has to be a RIM and BLACKBERRY problem.Maybe the guys in Waterloo are just totally insulated from the rest of the world and only own BlackBerry phones with Blackberry chargers and believe there is not a problem. At least it appear that way with this charger issue and several other issues, but I won't get deeper into that here?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Bold 9700 OS to 5.0.0.862 about 2 weeks ago. Everything was working fine up until Saturday, charging 1 minute then the next nothing, tried wall charger, car charger and also through the computer...nothing . This is the message the phone displays "The charging source connected to your Blackberry device cannot charge your battery."
The lightning icon is there but the battery level does not increase.I cant downgrade the OS since the computer doesnot recognize the device, I constantly get an error message. "Usb device has malfunctioned."
I upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1 recently using Sony updates. However I am having a strange problem now. The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.

View 2 Replies View Relatedlike in the topic: I have a problem with rSAP usage in Skoda nav-system Columbus: it stays ON searching for the car nav-system & eats battery level (just being standby): within 24 hrs completely empty. With bluetooth turned on, without previously connecting to my Skoda nav-system, the phone can run for about 10 days standby.Only if I turn off manually the bluetooth subsystem (not just the nav-system connection, but completely turn off bluetooth), then the phone doesn't eat through my battery-level. I dont want that, because it's not neccessary (I have to turn it back on again later & forget to do that), sometimes I forget and find out people can't reach me coz my phone is battery-empty.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI updated my BlackBerry software to the latest version 5.0.0 last week, and ever since then I have to charge my battery 2-3 times a day - if I don't use my phone/text/etc. If I use my phone, I've had to charge it as many as 5 times a day. I do not have Bluetooth enabled (only turn it on when I need it - have not used it since software update) and I have not added any additional applications since the software update. My File Free is showing 95329645 Bytes, and pulling the battery does not solve the problem.
I delete my text messages throughout the day, and also delete my emails that come in. I've looked through the knowledgebase and have tried various methods to supposedly help battery life - nothing has helped so far.
I have all of my applications and versions listed in my Biography (wasn't reallyy sure where to put all the info) and have my privacy set to all.
what I can do to stop the battery draining, I depend heavily on my BlackBerry and right now, it's not helping me at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if any would know how I am able to obtain a MEP code to unlock my phone to other providers so that I am able to use my mobile with other networks, as I am working on board a cruise ship and I am wanting to use a local provider instead of paying very high roaming rates especially for Data Services. Would I be able to obtain this code from BlackBerry/RIM or do I have to contact my service provider? I have tried seaching on the net but only comes up with 3rd Party websites, I have seached on my providers website (O2 UK) and also the BlackBerry website.

With respectable backlight brightness (50%) to get the daily pop from the screen but what is your typical battery life like? Also can anyone recommend a good headphone for the nexus one (hopefully pressing a button to scroll to the next song) and what music app to use to play songs?
