BB Curve 8350i :: Receiving Auto Send My Info Messages
Apr 21, 2010
I have the BlackBlerry 8350i on the Nextel Network, Version: 4.6.1.204
The issue isn't with MY INFO being sent out, I found the options to stop that. What is driving me CRAZY is, only on certain phones, and even if the person is all ready saved in my contacts, I STILL KEEP RECEIVING AUTO SEND MY INFO MESSAGES, EVEN FROM STORED CONTACTS, AND IT IS VERY ANNOYING!
Anyone know how to set the direct connect to auto default another direct connect phone? sorry I am so new to blackberry period, I have had all moto phones since it started. I am not likeing it too much cause the battery for life for me sucks, I still have time to return my 8350i which I am seriously thinking on doing.
I am a truck driver and I find it very hard to use compared to my I880 which I have my dc connect automatically to my dispatch, battery life barely lasts me the day. I am told the battery life on blackberry's are suppose to be great. Is there settings I should need to tweek on it?
Does the Blackberry Curve 8350i have SMS and MMS capabilties? I already ordered this phone from Sprint today. After ordering it i read a article that stated that it doesnt do sms or mms messages. Is this true?
Driving me crazy. I don't get an incoming call ring (most of the time) or incoming call log ever but can make calls. I can't open text message center even though my text icon shows I have texts. Can't open message center although icon shows messages. Getting screen message "Uncaught exception: java.lang.Null PointerException". This phone was working fine I don't know what happened. I have reinstalled the battery. I think I should do a back up and re install the operating system but not sure really what to do.
A few days ago my BBm stopped receiving messages. I can send out no problems, when they try to respond, they get the D next to the check but it does not show up on my phone.
I have no idea what it could be. I have deleted BBM and reinstalled.
When I try to send a message it fails, when I attempt to send again a warning screen reads Unable to send messagewith the number below I have tried sending messages to different numbers yet still this screen appears.)The details of the warning screen reads.Text message: unable to send text message. What's going on? How do I fix my phone
I want to manage my work emails on my personal blackberry but I want to know if there is any way of setting the email so it only receives mail between 9-5.30 weekdays, so I don't get bombarded with work related emails whilst not working - a little like auto on/off. This function actually exists? Or will I just need to switch off the configuration?
i have an 8350i and so does my friend. MOST of my icons are white and work fine. his are colored and also work fine. how can i get my icons to be colored?
Now that Boost will be legitimately offering a BB, the 8330, is it worth getting rid of the 8350i? I NEVER use DC, and is gaining the 3g speeds worth losing wifi over? Are there any other details I left out that would be a dividing factor?
I was wondering if there's any option that allow you to send a message to someone who actually is calling you, like when you're in a meeting and you get a phone call but you can't answer but instead send a default message right away like "call me back later". Is this possible?
This question may have already been answered, but I can not find the answer. My son-in-law just received his new BB 8500. This weekend we were all setting up our BBM through wi-fi and everything was working great except he can not receive messages from my daughter. He can send and receive to everyone in his contact list except her. She has deleted and re added him to her contacts several time, both by email and by pin. The both show up on each others contact list but he can not get her messages but he can send to her. She has been able to send to everyone except him. We searched for hours online for an answer but have come up with nothing.
10 days ago, I downloaded the update of the BBM, as I was notified by App World. Since I updated the BBM I can not send or receive messages, this update is a disaster, Due to the fact that I'm traveling, I do not have the roaming services and have been using BB services via WIFI and Now I canīt connect to the BBM at all.I need help because I am very upset with this update. My Blackberry is the CURVE 9300.I have uninstalled the BBM and then re installed it, but it still does not work After reading the comments on this update I realized that everyone is complaining.
i'm receiving the same message from this PIN 2A3E972B since this morning. The message is the same always and I have received it like 5,000 times!!! This is smartphone virus?
whenever i draft a email. the auto search option for email is not working. the same is a problem while new message, reply or forward and for all the email id i have on my phone also i have tried restarting the phone min 3 to 4 times. remove the battery and simcard too?
I've spent so long googling and I've made exactly no progress at all...!!- Problem: my blackberry only keeps text messages for about a week before deleting them- Phone type: It is a blackberry Curve 9320. It seems to be on OS 7.1. I got it around the middle of October 2012.- Also worth noting: unlike most people I've found online with this complaint- my call logs aren't being deleted, and are still intact all the way back to the middle of October when I got the phone.- Also, emails aren't deleted after a week, they perhaps linger for as much as a month before vanishing.
(I don't care about those as much because I can access them other ways, whereas texts I can't)According to various googlings and also questions on here, this is most commonly due to lack of memory, therefore they suggest that you check your memory status and then free some up if required.- When I go into device and status information it tells me that my free memory is around 133602256 bytes (which I believe is in the region of 126mb?). Does this count as a lot or a little? Could this be the source of the problem after all?- Similarly when I look in memory use under media it says 'built-in media storage 96% free (30.4mb)' and 'media card storage 95% free (1.7gb)'The other obvious thing which I've checked (and initially thought had solved the problem but it hadn't) was 'Message display and actions' where I've had 'days to keep messages' set as forever but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.Am I missing something really obvious? How can I get it to keep my messages for more than 7 or 8 days?
I have been using BB from past 6 months or so, however all my messages from day one are getting auto deleted, the required changes are made to stop that but it still does not work. E:g - if vodafone is sending me a msg, the content would get deleted and the symbol would go green.
what happens with text/sms messages when your blackberry is stolen but you keep the same number. So, for example, my blackberry was stolen last week and I am due to receive a new one this week that will have the same phone number. If people have texted/sms'd me on that number during the week I had no phone, will I receive the texts messages? I imagine not since it will be a different Sim Card.
I was having no trouble receiving messages and e-mail updates from my PC, but yesterday they stopped for no reasonable there be something wrong with my curve as I never had any problems before.
I am not receiving text messages in 9300 curve but when I insert sim in another device other than blackberry then I start receiving the text messages....
My BBM has stopped sending or recieving messages.Whenever I try to send a message, it makes the sending symbol that looks like ))) but then a big red cross like this X comes up. I've tried re-booting about 10 times, and also updating my version of BBM to the newest possible version, but nothing has worked. It's not a connection issue, because my internet, 3G, Facebook, Twitter, Texts and Emails are all working. I've tried connecting my phone to my wifi instead of the 3G I pay for, but with still no luck. Also, my data usage is fully topped up and nothing wrong with my service provider O2.
Since midday yesterday I have been able to send SMS (and recipient is receiving them) however I can not receive anyones SMS to me. I have updated the Blackberry software and have rebooted several times since.
My Blackberry curve 9360 is new but not and then SMS text messages wont come through now they've just stopped al together. Ive checked the firewall and thats not on so they should be coming through. I can send texts but i cant receive them.
Its completely stopped sending and receiving messages. Ive tried the battery pull and that worked for a while but now there's a red x beside every message I send. I've also deleted and reinstalled BBM but no luck.
My blackberry curve 9300 has no sound at all when receiving instant messages. I checked, I am using the normal mode, and all the instant messages should have sound when recieving, but mine does not.
