BB Bold :: BBM Not Receiving Messages, Send Is Good
Jun 4, 2012
9900 Bold, Rogers v 7.1
A few days ago my BBm stopped receiving messages. I can send out no problems, when they try to respond, they get the D next to the check but it does not show up on my phone.
I have no idea what it could be. I have deleted BBM and reinstalled.
When I try to send a message it fails, when I attempt to send again a warning screen reads Unable to send messagewith the number below I have tried sending messages to different numbers yet still this screen appears.)The details of the warning screen reads.Text message: unable to send text message. What's going on? How do I fix my phone
I have the BlackBlerry 8350i on the Nextel Network, Version: 4.6.1.204
The issue isn't with MY INFO being sent out, I found the options to stop that. What is driving me CRAZY is, only on certain phones, and even if the person is all ready saved in my contacts, I STILL KEEP RECEIVING AUTO SEND MY INFO MESSAGES, EVEN FROM STORED CONTACTS, AND IT IS VERY ANNOYING!
I have a colleague who has sporadic problems with his blackberry. It seems he can not receive emails but can send as he wishes. This is more of an intermittent problem but can sometimes take days to resolve, usually resolving itself.
Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.
My contacts receive messages on BBm that I never sent to them. Its on their phone but not on mine and some even tell me they are receiving my conversations with other friends. Is my BBM hacked? I think RIM has some serious answering to do.
For the past few weeks, I have not been receiving picture messages, but I am able to send them. What can I do? My data service plan is on. I have crunchSMS, but I receive pictures through the MMS icon.
I keep receiving messages from a sender, Alice Rewe, on peer-to-peer. I don't know the sender and it sends me with links for some NEWS UPDATES or BREAKING NEWS onww.ipaidabribrenaija.com. How do I stop receiving messages from this unknown source??
For the past few months, my phone has been receiving text messages with a delay of a few hours. Now, it has started receiving messages days later - most of the messages will arrive shortly after they were sent, but other arrive days later. It has also started notifying me of messages that I already received as new messages, multiple times. I have reset the phone twice, and the problem has persisted.
I can send this things. I know people have sent messages but can't access them. The menu key no longer shows "voice mail" when the icon indicates I have received a voice mail.
So I've been experimenting with a bunch of free texting apps for iPhone and am a bit disappointed. The ones with decent interfaces such as Textfree and Textnow are both plagued by the problem that they send texts from different phone numbers every time you send a text. While this isn't really a huge problem for people with regular phones, iPhone users get irritated because texts will come in from different numbers, causing the text log to balloon in size and makes it difficult to keep track of conversations.
The only texting app that doesn't seem to behave this way is Textplus, which I loathe. The interface is complete and utter crap. The app runs so slowly and the texts are limited to 140 characters in length. These characteristics are true even for the paid version.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any texting app that has a fast and smooth UI as well as sends texts from the same number each time?
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 on the 3 Mobile network. I only have one email account setup, and it is a Gmail account. I use Facebook for Blackberry. So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications. However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications. When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.
only realized 5 days a go that my BBM had stopped working. I'm able to send messages and my contacts recieve them, but they stay as 'D' on my screen, but when they send a message back I do not recieve it but it says 'D' on their screen.I don't think i have changed any setting or messed with anything. I have tried delteting and reinstalling BBM but still the sane problem. Data Services are also on.
I changed the sim card in my 9900 to try band find a number that was on another sim card, I reinserted my other sim card and I now cant access my phone. I get prompted with a blackberry ID log in screen, it won't accept any password I give it nor will it aallow me to change my password. After restarting it a few times I am now into my phone although can't send any messages or anything, At the top of the screen it says 'Insert SIM Card' when the sim is already in it.
Ever since I upgraded my BB Bold 9900 to the new SW version (about a week ago), I haven't been able to reliably send bbm messages (they take at least a couple of hours to reach their intended destination, but I am able to receive bbm messages from contacts instantly). Also, a few times, sending email messages was significantly delayed.
The new SW version is 7.1 Bundle 1646 (v7.1.0.523, Platform 5.1.0.393).
I went to the Host Routing Table in my settings and re-clicked the "Register Now" option. Unfortunately, it didn't do anything.
I cannot send or receive any bbm messages from outside USA. if i tried sending a bbm it shows that it is delivered, but nothing more than that. i have contacted T mobile and they refreshed my account, but it's my phone and not the network because i tried another simcard (but still same problem ). This problem started 4 days ago, but before that the phone was working perfectly,
I have a contact on BBM which I have been able to talk to fine for the past few months but recently he has become unable to send messages to me but he can receive my bbm messages. We have tried removing each other as a contact, reading and if I read him it just says 'pending' also we have updated so we have the same version but still nothing!
bit of a novice on bberry support. Use my bberry for work emails . Am on vacation in seychelles, coming from UK, have strong Cable and Wireless 3g reception , but cannot send or receive mails. any tips on how to approach this problem would be most welcome
I would like to buy a new BB phone but no-one is able to advise me how I can set it up to send and receive Japanese messages as well as English. Any information about which model to buy and how to set it up so it can cope with Japanese.
I've several problems with bbm groups. Though I can get into a group and read everything, it's impossible for me to send anything. I have the latest version of BBM.
If any contact is in my address book I cannot send out email or pin messages has a red clock. tmobile sent me new phone does samething. we did everything to basic to redo operating system. super frustrating never had an issue till i got my 9700.
Rogers Blackberry technical support has tried everything and they are now telling me it's a hardware issue, and I need to pay full price for a new phone because my warranty has expired. I don't think it's a hardware issue. I will explain. A few days ago I installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0.1 on my new computer. After connecting the Bold to my new computer, Blackberry Desktop Manager stated that a few of my applications are old and upgrades are recommended and therefore I upgraded. One of these upgrades included an upgrade to my operating system (to version 4.6.0.303).
After installing and re-booting, the smartphone did not work the same. I was able to use the phone, text message, and internet (rogers mall website directly and not search engine like before) but I could no longer set up e-mail, and PIN messages. I contacted Rogers Blackberry technical customer and we re-boot several times...did not work, then re-installed the operating system several times...did not work. I also checked Host Routing Table, and it was empty (as per technical support there should be a log of files). I tried to register and nothing changed. The only other change that I noticed is next to the 3G characters, there used to be a blackberry logo (4 dots), and now it's gone. I only see 3G.
I want to send text messages and emails containing attachments of photos Ive taken using my Blackberry Bold 9780.
When I click the menu button on one of these camera photos the "send.....via email, text message etc " is not in the list of options. If I click the menu button on a picture that has not been taken with my Blackberrys camera the option IS there.I've tried attaching a photo whilst in a text message or an email, it gives me the option "attach" however when I click on the photo I want to attach it wont attach it.
