May 3, 2012I have a iphone 4 (not S) and have purchased movies on it. Just some Pixar shorts. I want to move these purchases to my computer so they are backed up, in other words, sync the other way. I have my phone/itunes set to manually manage music and movies because my music library on my computer would be too big for the phone and I don't want all my music on my phone anyway. Problem is, I can't just drag the movies from my phone to my itunes when the phone is plugged in, and when I choose "sync movies" I get a warning box that says:Are you sure you want to sync movies? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPhone "dorothy's iPhone" will be removed and replaced with movies from your iTunes library.
I want to avoid this so I don't have to take the time to reload particular songs/albums that I've already put on the phone. Isn't there a way to transfer purchases you've made on your phone onto your computer without losing everything that's already on your phone? Is there a way to sync only movies? One would think so if you just checked the box, but the words "all existing songs, movies, and TV shows" make me too nervous to check the box.

Apr 18, 2011I've had the DroidX since last August. I am a frequent listener to streaming audio, especially while out and about (driving around the local area, in the grocery store, etc.). Most of what I listen to is from twit.am (either via the TwitDroid app or sometimes StreamFurious Pro), but I also use several radio-oriented apps (such as iHeartRadio or uneIn Radio).
I've never been able to keep a stream going for more than 10 minutes without it dropping. I always thought it was due to sketchy 3G coverage here in the Hudson Valley but had no way of testing that theory until today, when I remembered that the Google CR48 that I am testing has built-in Verizon 3G. So, to test the DroidX hardware defect theory, I took the CR48 in the car with me today on 50 mile round trip from Hyde Park to Fishkill and back. I listened to twit.am the whole way and did not experience a single dropout!
Case closed, it seems to me.
Any thoughts on whether this issue is confined to the DroidX (e.g. are there other Moto android phones that don't have the issue)? What about other vendors like HTC or Samsung, do they suffer similar problems? I'm considering whether to stay with Moto when I am eligible for an upgrade this coming June. At this point I am inclined to jump ship because of this issue.

Sep 27, 2012I have been using my ray for 6 months. Today I observed that all the files were invisible on my computer, eventhough SD card was full. My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. I am sure that the files are in my phone, I have check from my phone.Now, I could not transfer my pictures, files, movies from my computer.

So fine, I'll re-copy them from my PC to the SD card.But what about when my Google Music syncs, is it going to copy the Music to SD card with the other copied music? or still in internal memory? What about camera pictures and movies? Can you set it to save on the SD card? It take it apps cannot be 'moved to media area' either?onder when Google is going to fix these restrictions to their file system. 10 months later after release of Honeycomb seems a bit long to fix a basic file system function.

Apr 18, 2012every time i sync my iphone i uncheck the movies and it still says they are on my phone and taking up memory even though they are not checked. If i uncheck sync all movies so no movies sync my status bar still shows 2 movies on the phone. not sure what to do or how to get them off without deleting the movies permanently.

Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?" error. Why am I getting this error only for trying to sync movies but everything else is syncing? Apr 1, 2012I am a OSX 10.7.3 and iOS 5.1 user and am unclear about sync'ing movies and videos from my mac to my iPhone. I've done lots of this in the other direction but I'm trying this direction for the first time.
On the iTunes Summary tab I have selected Manually Manage Music and Videos. Now I want to select Sync Movies on the Movies tab but I get this message: "All existing songs, movies, and TV shows will be removed from your iPhone and replaced with movies from your iTunes library." I'm very confused by this message.
Why would iPhone songs be removed when I'm trying to sync movies? Any other words of advice would also be apprectiated.
