I live in Chennai and have updated my X10 mini to 2.1;is there a single click quick root possible like it used to be with 1.6 using Universalandroot?There are too many space-consuming apps that I find no use for!

It frozes the screen, doesn't catch wi-fi or 3G, crashes when I get the keyboard opened, doesn't let me answer phone calls, reboot automatically, crashes when reading media contente or SD card data, etc. cause I'm used to use my phone for almost everything and this Xperia used to fit perfectly to my routine until the update.

I don't know how to backup all my phone settings/apps/etc, if it will deactivate my sim and I'll have to ask T-Mobile for a reactivation, or what will happen. I was going to get PDANET, but i noticed that it was removed from the marketplace. other than that, there are no other ways (that i have found) that i can successfully tether my Nexus One with my iPad. Im not too keen in rooting my Nexus One only because it will void my warranty, but also because i "wont be able to receive OTA updates." Anyone else find a good way to do this without rooting? I personally dont think its fair that my unlocked full priced Nexus One is unable to tether because T-Mobile pressured android into doing so.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone came with GB 2.3.4 build .62 which is hard to root. So as the above guide directed, I downloaded a .42 build firmware, CE(Central Europe perhaps? I don't know) and tried to flash it using flashtool. I disconnected the phone from the PC in between. My phone wouldn't boot. Then I used SUS and updated it to ICS, making the phone work. I then flashed it to GB .42 patiently, and with success. Alas, problems started immediately. Many processes such as media, calender storage, acro etc came up as stopped working. Even after selecting force close they would keep appearing. I cleared the respective cache/data and the notifications stopped. Then I rooted it using Doomlord's toolkit, and updated to .62 via OTA, keeping my root. A few things have changed. The keyboard name is the same, International keyboard, but it is different and I don't like it. Camera is not working. Screen goes blank if I open the camera. Messaging does not work and the messaging app crashes as soon as I open it. No contacts are found, despite importing them again. (They all show up when using the import from SIM option, it says importing is done but they are nowhere to be found). Google search is not working and it crashes too.

I tried re-installing it on the phone again, deleted all the drivers on the computer and re-installed them. nothing works. i need to restore my phone back on here. View 5 Replies View RelatedRooting and unlocking. Up until I rooted my nexus 5 in the hopes to get side by side apps I haven't rooted since my gs2. Anyways I rooted my phone via the nexus 5 root toolkit and unlocked the bootloader and whatnot. I found out that I couldn't do side by side because it wasn't available for my version of android. I attempted to unroot and return to stock and I just unrooted and locked the bootloader. Can't figure out how to return my phone to stock without twrp. Every time I try to do OTA updates it just restarts to twrp and it's super annoying. How to get back to stock so I can do OTA updates?
