Service tech suggested restoring iPhone 5 as a "New" phone so as to not recover any corrupt data from my backup. If I do this how do add back my Contacts, Notes, etc?

I have a business line on my phone. There's nothing I like better than Lumia's option to block the last call you had from bothering me in the future. I am wondering however if I'll lose my list if this phone has a firmware update or if there's some way to save this list.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my HTC one 5 weeks ago. I powered off last week and the phone would not come on when I went to power up again a couple days later. Took it to the dealer who said he has not seen this happen and also could not get it to work. I asked him if all my photos, videos etc would transfer over to my replacement phone once I received the new one. He said not if I didn't back them up online! I hadn't done that yet since I have only had the phone a few weeks but I have taken a ton of pics and video of my kids and I am desperately wanting to know if there is a way that I can transfer these things to my new phone. He said because he can't even get my phone to power on there is no way to upload these things now and I will lose them I received my new phone today but before I set it up I need to know if there is any way for me to save my pics, etc.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 5S iOS (7.1.1) fell down "less than one meter height", then after that it shows that there is no service I used my sim card with 2 another iphones (5 &5S) the service worked fine with both iphones.
I tried iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service except "restoring the iPhone", but I'm still experiencing "No Service" issue.my iPhone worked fine for 7 months before falling down. There's no other issues with my iphone everything else is working normally, the screen is not broken & there is only one tiny scratch on the edge of the iPhone. If you're anything like me, you dread the idea of your phone getting stuck, having to reset, restore, re-jailbreak, etc. But I wanted to ask, when the phone gets stuck, are there ANY other options besides having to restore everything or is that the only way to get it working again?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI left my iPhone at a house last night and when I got it back it was disabled. Now my password won't work to unlock my phone. Is there a way to enable a disabled phone without restoring? And if I did restore it, would I lose everything? (contacts, pictures, apps etc.)

So, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions:
-will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...?
-otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
A friend of mine has a factory unlocked 3GS with 3.1.3 firmware and, I'm assuming, the latest baseband. Reading this iClarified tutorial would suggest that it is possible to jailbreak his phone with a Mac but he doesn't have one. So my question is, if I make a custom ISPW for him using my Mac, can he then restore his phone using Windows and this custom firmware. And if so, does he need to use DFU mode or can he simply click on the custom file and restore? I should add that it isn't feasible for me to do the job for him as he lives many miles away and I'll be sending him the custom firmware on a CD by mail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedTo improve the security on my phone, I engaged the password feature. In trying to get back in my phone I must have entered the password incorrectly. When the maximum attempts had been used, the phone went through wiping and my phone was totally reset. My BBM listing and contact listing were all lost and even my BBM pin was changed. My phone was previously backed up on my computer but the computer is identifying my phone as a different divice. is there any way to get my computer to load my contact lists on the phone after it had been wiped in this way?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!

* I own the final version of Nokia PC Suite and Ovi Suite by today. they even cannot install the Nokia PC Suite Support software into my old 7610.
**When I tried to back up my messages from 7610 PC Suite warns me that these messages cannot be restored to another model.
I have recently purchased and updated an Iphone 4s and it will randomly lose the 4g signal to Edge and it won't return even though I live a mile away from a 4g tower....My family (3 of them) all have the Iphone 4 and they never lose their 3g signal--or if they get out of range, it comes back...

Since I updated my iOS from 5.0.1 to 5.1, my iPhone:
1) Takes a lot more time finding the network when I turn it on.
2) Frequently loses reception and searches for network for 10-30 seconds before going back on the network full strength. The weird thing is that when this happens, I'm usually at the same place, so it does not make sense that I go from five bars of signal to nothing.
3) Also, when I lose signal, there is a prompt telling me that I lost signal. This prompt is annoying, is there a way to make it not appear?
