BB 9900 stolen and now have a Curve 9300. I really need some assistance restoring everything to the 9300 but when i plug into the Desktop software it asks me to plug in my old device?I obviously don't have it but I do have a back up i did just before Christmas. I don't mind starting from scratch but I need the phone numbers etc if nothing else.

How do I restore my password keeper data from a backup. The backup shows data being stored but it is greyed out not allowing me to restore it to my BlackBerry Storm2 9550. View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a new iPhone4S. I took around 1.000 pictures with it right off the box. When I went on syncing it for the first time I restored the data from my old iPhone3G instead of creating a 'new phone' and now it doesn't show any of the new pictures I took on the iPhone4S.
Can that be reversed so the new photos are recovered?

Now trying to use Blackberry Protect to restore my contacts list and then want to restore Applictions I had paid for. Any idea how to do this? The BB Protect 'help' says select RESTORE DATA but I cannot see this option, only the option to backup or achive. Can I activate my new IP4 on iTunes on my home PC in the evening when I get home to my shiny new phone and then restore all my settings, data and apps from my work PC iTunes the next morning at work? Or do I need to just wait until I get to work to activate the new phone?

1. I have moved a lot of programs to the SD card- do I need to move them back to Device Memory?
2. If I sign in with my Google account after the Factory Reset after the OS upgrade, will all the apps automatically be restored/installed?
3. I have the Google backup set automatically and restore automatically- will the data and settings be restored as the apps are restored once I log into my Google account?
4. What about all my internet email accounts (Comcast, GMail, etc.)- will they automatically be restored for the messages that are on the S5 and automatically connected to the accounts or do I have to reset these up again?
5. The S5 is also my work email, which is an Exchange Server- will the Factory Reset mean that my IT dept. needs to reestablish the connection between the S5 and the Exchange Server or will that happen automatically (if emails are part of the automatic restore?)
6. I have Keis 3 installed on my computer- should I use this as a backup and restore instead of relying on the automatic Google backup and restore?
I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

So, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions:
-will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...?
-otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
To improve the security on my phone, I engaged the password feature. In trying to get back in my phone I must have entered the password incorrectly. When the maximum attempts had been used, the phone went through wiping and my phone was totally reset. My BBM listing and contact listing were all lost and even my BBM pin was changed. My phone was previously backed up on my computer but the computer is identifying my phone as a different divice. is there any way to get my computer to load my contact lists on the phone after it had been wiped in this way?

Reading this iClarified tutorial would suggest that it is possible to jailbreak his phone with a Mac but he doesn't have one. So my question is, if I make a custom ISPW for him using my Mac, can he then restore his phone using Windows and this custom firmware. And if so, does he need to use DFU mode or can he simply click on the custom file and restore? I should add that it isn't feasible for me to do the job for him as he lives many miles away and I'll be sending him the custom firmware on a CD by mail.

When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore.
