Jul 24, 2015I've been pressing the button combination the right way but it doesn't always work. I use quickmemo, but when I want to screenshot something like on snapchat, that's just not possible. I emptied out the cache, but I don't think that has to do with the buttons.. What can I do?

May 26, 2014I've noticed over the past few weeks since owning my N5 that the LED notification light does not work half the time (not using any 3rd party apps to control the light just the stock setting under the settings/display setting.) Oct 18, 2015All of a sudden today my phone is lagging. And reads normal screen touches as a long touch. Even watching videos it catches and freezes for few seconds.
I've tried the cache wipe from the reboot menu and hasn't made a difference.

Apr 6, 2012Over the last 2 or 3 days, I've stopped receiving notifications of new email when my phone is locked. I've been on the most recent OS for a while and have not changed any settings. Everything is switched on in notifications for the messages to flash up but they do not?
When I receive an email I still get the familiar bing, but no visual?

May 29, 2014I started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.

Mar 15, 2012I have three email accounts, two work related and one personal. The personal account is the one that gets all the spam and junk I don't want to be notified about. The other two work related accounts contain emails which I want to know about immediately. Mar 15, 2012Is there a way to stop email and text notifications when I am on a phone call? I have a long email alert and message tone, and when I'm on a call and they go off, it's so loud and long I can't hear who I'm talking to. They can't hear the alert but it goes on for so long they waffle on and I miss a lot of conversation. Why is this not automatically disabled or set to silent when taking a call?

Jul 22, 2014When I turn my phone on after it has been asleep, sometimes, I have two email notifications at the top left part. One is a gmail envelope, the other is plain. When I swipe down to get all notifications, there are two separate notifications. Clicking one takes me to my regular GMail inbox, the other to something that approximates it. Anyway to just get one and if so, Id prefer the Gmail one.

May 7, 2014I have a Galaxy S5 on Verizon. I currently use the gmail app for my personal email and the email service on the phone for my work email. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to turn off notifications for the work email. They show up in both the status bar and as the number of emails I have on the email icon. I have tried going to settings through the email app itself, and I think I have unchecked everything there. I have also tried going through application manager. When I go through the application manager, there is a box to check that says "show notifications", but it's checked and will not let me UNcheck it.

May 23, 2011i just got the curve 9300 and before had the curve 8520 and the flashing LED is so dim i can barely see it on my new one! i have the phone on silent at work and use the LED to tell when i have a notification and i cant even see it in daylight hardly. is there any way to make the red light flash up brighter like on the older model? my sister has the new bold and hers is fine and bright. Ive got the free bebuzz app and even when i select my fave contact as BRIGHT pink it is still really dim light.
Also i have my hotmail account set up on my bb. When i get a new email the notification icon appears at the top but i cant view the email in my hotmail box only if i go into the "messages" icon. this isnt how it was before either!
