HTC One M8 :: On Home Screen Two Email Notifications
Jul 22, 2014
When I turn my phone on after it has been asleep, sometimes, I have two email notifications at the top left part. One is a gmail envelope, the other is plain. When I swipe down to get all notifications, there are two separate notifications. Clicking one takes me to my regular GMail inbox, the other to something that approximates it. Anyway to just get one and if so, Id prefer the Gmail one.
how to change the notifications bar on the homescreen (between volume and search function) ? Whenever it shows a new text or e-mail and I click on the bar it shows all of my appointments in my calendar first before the messages. I was wondering if it is possible to remove calendar information from that shortcut bar.
So I was reading a review for the iPhone 4, and it had pictures of the home screen. This guy had notifications for his calender. now call me a total noob, but is this just for iPhone 4?
I have a problem with text boxes at the home-screen bottom about new messages and missed calls. Those notifications are not showing any more. I guess it happened since I installed BestBlacklist free applications from ovi site. Then I uninstalled that application and even restored factory settings, but notifications didn't come back. At the same time notification lights and logs working OK. How can I make those home screen notifications back?
For the native gmail app in lollipop, is there some way to get a pop-up at the top of the screen when I'm using the device and a new gmail arrives. I get sound but no pop-up showing a preview of the message. I get it for text messages but not gmails.
In the past few days, the following things have happened.....
-Email notifications no longer show up on my lock screen or the email tile. They used to, now they don't. All the setting are unchanged. -I get notifications that my phone is running out of storage space. I'm using 6GB out of 32, AND I have a 32GB card installed. -Battery drains like someone shot a hole in it. Even plugged in to the USB port on my computer, it's slowly dying. This, of course, makes the back hot to the touch. -I can't attach pictures to text messages anymore.
I'm not enrolled in any preview program, I didn't install anything strange, I didn't receive any notification updates, just business as usual until things went bad.
If your answer is going to be "hard reset" or something
I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.
How do I add Email widget on the home screen? I want the notification / if possible preview of the mail as and when they arrive. When I try to add widgets, I am not able to see the email widget on the Choose Widgets option
I switched to Android from my Blackberry Tour. But I finally switched back because I liked Blackberry a lot more, but when I try to set up my email, it says that it is set up, but there is no home screen icon for my email, and I can't compose new emails.Any have any idea what's wrong? I did reset my phone to factory settings so it is basically brand new, and I put in a SIM card from my Sister's blackberry that she is not using (also a Tour).
In addition to my Corporate email account, I have other personal email accounts activated and set up on my bb. On Saturday, these personal email accounts/icons all of a sudden disappear from my Home screen. I've tried reboot the bb by taking out the battery and re-inserting it.I've gone into Set up a few times to delete and re-activate them individually.I did received message back that these accounts have been successfully set up with my bb device, but their envelope icons still HAVE NOT been able to show up on the Home Screen. I've tried Hide & unhide, Show all and not Show all. Nothing works. In the Messages folders, I can see that I am receiving all emails from all my accounts However, when I go into Sound and Alert to change ring tones/sounds for Selected Profiles, under Messages - Notifiers. only Email [Desktop] shows up.How can I get back my other email accounts/icons to show up on my Home screen? My bb is Bold 9780.
Is it possible to remove the preview of the email notification on the home screen?I mean to leave only the message "you have an email" headers without the last three emails.
I'm using he Nokia Messaging (email.nokia.com) application for push email. Yesterday I added an Exchange account from my company. It installed Mail for Exchange and everything went smoothly. After a few minutes the Email widget on the Home screen disappeared. I uninstalled Mail for Exchange and Nokia Messaging but still won't appear again. I even setup an email account using the phones integrated client and still it doesn't show up. On the screen there's only an empty field, as wide as the screen, which changes it's color on click. Right now the only email app installed is Nokia Messaging.
Currently, Im trying to setup three email boxes to be displayed on my homescreen on my Nokia E5-00. I already setup 3 emailboxes under Menu - Office - email; this all works perfectly.
In the beginning, I only displayed my hotmail en gmail on my homescreen. I recently (succesfully) added my work emailaddress (through exhnage/MfE), and now I want to have this emailbox to be displayed on my homescreen.
However, so far Ive only found out (through Settings - General - Personal - Standby modus - Modus settings - Emailnotofication), youre only capable of showing 2 emailboxes on your homescreen. Is there any way to get 3 emailboxes to be displayed on your homescreen?
why cant I change the name of my emailbox setup through MfE/Exchange? E.g., you can rename your gmail box to any desired name; this however isnt possible for MfE/Exchange emailadresses.

My E63 crashed after a software update last night. I seem to have recovered most stuff, but now can't access my emails from the Active Home Screen. It shows that new emails have arrived, but when I click on the icon - nothing happens. Just stays on the home screen. I can access emails by going Menu-Installations-email, but this is a bit of a faff!
Any ideas? I'm using the Nokia Messaging email for my Hotmail account. It all went smoothly for the last year....
I have certain apps "i.e. quick change keyboards", I like to have the notifications for it shown on my notification screen, but I do not want to see it on my lock screen. Other apps I DO want to see on the lock screen.
Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.
I am new the blackberry and I have a Tour. I have tried to set up the notification settings such that the email is silent and the phone calls are on vibrate- is there a way to do that?
I started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.
both my notifications and home page open up at the same time instead of seperately and it isnt possible to open notifications through this i have to go on to the actual application to do it, how to change this so they both open seperately and work?
I'm using Nova Launcher. Whenever I exit my applications with the home button, it directs me to the homescreen selection/dial (not sure what the appropriate name is). . :/
It does it intermittently, and I suspect it's because the whole phone is lagging - too many little background things running I suppose.
Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
Don't know what's happen. Phone isn't rooted. Normally when I flip my home screen and I want to go back to my first home screen I press the homescreen button. But now it doesn't do anything?
Electrify on U S Cellular. When moving from one home screen to another has just a slight lag or more of jerk then a fluid movement.
All the other menus or navigating around the phone is smooth as silk. I do run a live wallpaper but changing to a static one it seems the same. With all the horsepower this phone is supposed to have I expected those screens to just to fly by smoothly.
