I have an iPhone 5s that was running 7.1.1. I updated to 7.1.2 and now it's been stuck on the black screen with the white apple logo with the status bar almost half way through for almost an hour. This was done over the air - it's plugged in and wifi is on - do I just leave it alone?Â
i tried to install the new software for my iphone 4 today.an error occured and required me to restore my phone.i tried restoring it and it goes through all the steps until it gets to "connect to itunes"when i connect my phone to my itunes, nothing happens on my phone. i synced everything back onto my phone on the computer, but time after time, nothing happens on my phone. it continues to just show the connect to itunes screen.
My iPhone4 is stuck in the dreaded loop after going to install the new update today. It always "restores" then displays the same "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode" message.
I launch the 8.1.2 updating process in OTA mode today and my iPhone 6 get stuck in recovery mode after the restart (iTunes icon with the cable on the screen).Â
So I try to restore from iTunes but I've got a unknown "error 56" at 75% of internal firmware upgrading process. The updating seems stuck, I've wait several minutes with no change. As soon as I unplug the cable my iPhone get back to recovery mode (iTunes icon with the cable on the screen).I've try several times, with another cable, with the old 8.1.1 firmware image (using Alt key when selecting the restore button). I try to launch the restore from my iMac and from my MacBook Pro (both with latest Yosemite and iTunes versions) but my iPhone is still stuck in recovery mode.Â
Bring it back to an Apple Store? Unfortunatly I'm living overseas and I've bought this iPhone 6 a few weeks ago when traveling. I'll be in Melbourne in a few weeks but I would like to use my iPhone again before. Â
I bought phone from my friend he said it stucked on bootloop so i thought i can sort it but i dont think so. I got an OTA update available notification on my wife's phone and started the update. Its been well over 1.5 hours and it seems to keep repeating the "installing update" step in a loop. I rebooted the phone. Note the phone is unrooted.
I recently bought an xperia 10 from the Uk however, when arrived it had on it basic setting chinese & english keyboardI want to remove theChinese and instal alternative keyoard in addition to english.
I`m having this strange problem with my iphone 4 (gsm). When I update to ios 5.1.1 two things different happens.
1 - When I update directly from my iphone it says it can`t install it. that a problem has happend and it can`t be installed.
2 - When I update from itunes, in any computer, i`ve tried on 4 differente machines, two macs and two pcs, my Iphone bricks. The process starts but id sudenly crashes. And when I connect it to my mac, it says that my iphone is in restore mode and i can only restore my iphone to ios 5.1.
My iPhone has downloaded the new software update of iOs 5.1.1, but it won't install it. I keep getting an error message that says "Unable to Install Update; An error occurred installing iOS 5.1.1" What should I do?
I'm a little late to the Wallpaper thread, having just discovered the many amazing photographs and artwork done by fellow MacForums members.
Is it a simple matter of putting the photo onto the camera via syncing and then selecting it as the wallpaper, or does the new wallpaper pic have to be placed into a specific album or location in camera roll in order to be selectable via settings for wallpaper?
Now that we have Cydia on our iPhone 4's i was wondering what are some of the best apps to download. I havent jailbroken an iphone for a very long time so i dont know too many apps out there.
I just downloaded an app that was cracked (tomtom) and its in the .ipa format. I have tried to SSH and copied it to the /private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads folder. Installuos is not picking up the file.Am I doing something wrong?
When I download an app to my iphone 4S it appears as "installed", nonetheless, I the icon does not appear on the phone's screen. As a result I cannot use the application and if I try to install it again it appears as "installed. I tried resetting the phone to no avail.
Installing IOS 5.1.1 on my iphone failed and now the phone will not show up on itunes and is not recognized by my PC. I tried all troubleshooting Apple says to do minus uninstalling itunes. My wifes iphone still works fine with the same cable and itunes on my PC.
Well, now i have no iphone. I was sick and tired about ringtone disappearance in 8.1.1 and i updated my iPhone using wifi to 8.1.2. It has updated, it restarted. but it did not turn on.Â
I Connected it to my pc and started itunes. iTunes offered to restore factory settings on iPhone.Â
" for what sake do i have to lose all my data?" but there was no other way, i agreed.Â
iTunes sent error N39 and that is the end. Iphone is off. Itunes does not restore it.Â
Info: iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2, Iphone turned into a brick
Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates. 2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back. 3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear. 4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on). 5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select. 6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat. 7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
I really want to JB my ip4, but Ive read it drains way more battery. Im just wondering if some of you could let me know how much of a difference if any you have seen on your battery since JB. I really only want to run T-lert, SBS-settings, lock info, activator, & pdanet.
Also back on my 3g i purchased Lock Info, though Im not sure how I can transfer over my puchase to my ip4 without having to pay for it again, I believe i bought it from cyndia, but i really cant remember. I would rather not open ssh, so what should i do?
Just installed a jb app that mentioned something about "quick unlock". I cannot recall the exact title but anyway it seems to have totally killed my 3GS.
Tried all the tricks I know but nothing works. Only the Apple icon will appear on the screen for about 20 seconds. ITunes does not detect the phone so I can not reset/restore it.If I try to recharge it, no battery icon appears.
I just purchased a 3GS iphone that is running OS 3.1.3 on it. Not sure if I want to upgrade to 4 yet, but don't think I would want the 'new upgrade/fix' Apple is coming out with that would actually list my bars lower than they show now.So my question is, can I just download iOS 4 without installing it yet in case I decide to install it later? If so how? I am new to iphone's so forgive my ignorance. Also, anyone who is going back to their 3GS are you upgrading to 4 or keeping the old OS on there.
I've got an iPhone 2G, jailbroken and unlocked, running 3.0. I got my iPhone back after a month of letting my gf use it, and it needed 6 app updates through the app store. On the 3rd update, it wouldn't download the updates any more. I restarted the wifi connection (turned off wifi then back on) but it didn't get the download going. I powered off the device and turned it back on. Now it has three "blank" (kind of a fuzzy white) icons attempting to install itself, but only downloads something and stops at the install. The phone subsequently becomes unusable at that time (i.e. really slow). Cydia crashes on me, so that's not an option.
I installed Frash (Flash for iPhone) using the original deb, and then, again via Cydia. It worked pretty good for me and I like that it didnt load any flash unless you tapped on it, saving you from all the pop-ups and ads on some pages. I did find that very large pages would have a hard time keeping up with the combination of Frash and User Agent Faker (iPad/Mozilla settings) I was running and would sometimes cause Safari to crash to the Springboard.
That only happened 1-2 times a day so I would've kept it, but after a couple of days I realized it had broken my MMS. I could no longer send them and I was not receiving them either. I really don't know what one had to do with the other, but it was the only change I had made. Sure enough, when I uninstalled Frash, MMS worked again. While I actually did like having the option to load Flash in Safari, it was not enough for me to give up MMS. I couldn't find a fix so Frash had to go but I'm interested in hearing about other user's experiences and opinions.
