Jan 11, 2010I have had this phone for about 8 months and it has always showed me who in my contact list is sending me a text message. It has only shown the phone number if the person texting me is not in my contact list.A few days ago, it started showing me only the number that sent the text message. I have no idea why it started this, maybe some wrong buttons got pushed while I was carrying it around in my pocket? It doesn't always lock when I close the phone, and sometimes I don't notice it when I slide the phone into my pocket.I've tried adding the number to my contact list, and it adds it just fine, but the next time I get a text from that number, only the number shows up again.This is quite frustrating, and I would like to get if fixed, does anyone have any ideas as to what I need to do to correct this?Old messages from before this started happening still show the names.I haven't had it connected to my computer since the phone was new and as far as I know, it hasn't done any software upgrades or anything like that.

Sep 7, 2014I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.2. I will be purchasing the iPhone 6 when it comes out. Ideally, I want to set it up as a new phone but I want to keep my text and iMessage history. I found this article online [URL]....and it talks about the 3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4636395e047a3d28.mddata. file that is in a backup. Can I manipulate the backup of my iPhone 4 so that it seems like a phone that only has texts and iMessages on it and restore that backup to the iPhone 6? Will that be incompatible with a phone running iOS 8 (which I assume the iPhone 6 will)?

Aug 19, 2010I wrote a post here before realizing that the thread trail (Home -> Forum -> Canadian Carrier Discussion -> TELUS Mobility -> CDMA Network and Devices) was pretty narrow, and the thread itself seemed bloated.So I moved it here. I've done a bit of the "intro" stuff: up/down-loaded pictures/ringtones and changed the cover display, so i'm pretty familiar with p2k Commander. But, like some other folks (and as i say in my post) i found either myself incompetent or the software lacking. Regardless, I've experienced some success with this direction so i think i'm gonna take it as far as i can.

Jun 4, 2012I was recently roaming on my iphone 4, and was replying to a text when i saw the name at the top change to a number?
A little later i tried to retrive a telephone number and the person that i was looking for was no longer there? Upon futher checking i found that a number of recently added numbers (back about 3 to 4 months) had also disapeared?
I thought that it may have been something to do with roaming in another country, but back home now and contact have still not returned.
About the same time back as above, i added a gmail (New job) account, and on checking in gmail i have found that the telephone numbers are also missing from my contact details within my gmail account, of the contacts that i set up since starting this account?
Icloud is turned on and when i checked my hotmail account the contact information is stored there?

Dec 6, 2014I updated my MBP to Yosemite 10.10.1 and also updated my 5s to 8.1.1 and had the option to forward text messages from my iPhone to my macbook, but now that option has disappeared. At first none of my messages were sending to my macbook but I managed to fix that, however, SMS messages will not send to my macbook and I don't have the option to get a code? I definitely did it before so at one point all the settings were correct.
