For the first time today, I noticed that if you accidentally push the home or back buttons while composing an email, you lose it. This seems a little ridiculous, unless I am missing something and the email is saved somewhere?
Shouldnt there be a prompt of some sort that lets you know you are going to erase the currently composed email, before going into another screen?
I went to add a gmail account, and added it no problem. Password worked fine, and was edit the settings. When I went to check the email account it said there was no email address setup. So I go back to setup and get this message:
"A new Blackberry device has been detected. You must move your email account(s) to receive email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. At least one email account must be moved to set up email on this device."
I hit the "Move Email Account" button and enter the correct password. I get all the confirmations, and can edit settings for the account if I want. But then when I go to check the email, I get the same message again. I have tried it with multiple email addresses and SIM cards and the same thing happens to all of them.
How do I save a message in email app? I can delete them, but save option is not obvious. I know it can be done because I did so once w/o meaning to. Also, can I create new folders?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am connecting successfully to my pop email account, and am able to send/retrieve without issue. However, as soon as I pull email from the pop account on my home computer, I lose all of the messages on my phone. Isn't there a way to download messages onto my phone and keep them? I don't see an option to flag or save individual messages, or to move them to a folder.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just emailed a picture to myself and retrieved it on my phone, it says 'Attachment saved to sd card as Null' but I've looked everywhere and can't find it. I've also lost my User Guide since updating my phone after a phone prompt, when I try and access it it says 'Cannot find User guide on memory card. The memory card has been removed or the files have been deleted. Are these two things linked?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot save attachments to the phone or to my external SD card, which is not encrypted. I have no Exchange 2010 security policies blocking attachments. ICS is not set to encrypt anything. I use NitroDesk TouchDown, which also has no saving restrictions or encryption set.I go through the process of Save, or Save All, and try to save, or create a new folder in which to save, and then click to save the file. I can see the new folder I created, but there is never a file saved. Rebooting does not make it show, nor does dismounting and remounting the SD card.Probably related to the above problem, if I have an email in TD with an attachment, for example a DOCX file, I can open it in Documents to Go, but if I do a Save As from there, it will not let me save it anywhere. If I use Docs to Go and create a new Word doc, I can save it anywhere I choose, so it is as though TD will not let me manipulate my attachments.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to the Nokia 710 and I have my AOL email account linked up to the phone. I am able to send and recieve emails just fine.My problem is that when I try to open/download any attachments like a Word or PDF document that are in the emails, they never open. They start to open but never do. I can open these attachements on my old Palm Pixi rather quickly and without any trouble so I know it is not the files that are the problem.
I've searched both this USA forum and the UK one and didn't see anyone else with the same issue... so did I not set up something properly with the phone?
In email application how do I download pdf attachment from my inbox to save and view? I installed pdf viewer for this phone but I need to manually open saved pdf file. How to save it, there seems to be no option for that? I keep finger on attachment but does not appear any menu to save, under options there also no save. And if I try open directly it I get error file type not supported. What to do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone know of a way to save an email message as an archived image on a media card. It is a pain to try and keep track of sent / received emails and then print to pdf from a computer later on. View 9 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded my wife's phone to the S6 from Verizon Wireless. She had an S4 previously. Problem is with the stock android email app on this phone: On the S4 when she would save an email it would save it to the "Saved email" folder. She could then open the saved emails in that folder and it would have any attachment saved with the email. She could then open the attachment if she wished.
The S6 email app allows her to save an email, but the options menu says it will save the email as a FILE. When accessing these saved emails she discovered only the text of the email was saved. The attachments are not saved with the emails.
This is a completely ridiculous and stupid change by Samsung or Google, whichever is the one who is responsible for that app. I am surprised other users have not complained about this, I did not see anything about this on the 'net when searching.
My wife uses this phone for business and needs to access the attachments in the emails her clients send her. I understand she can save the attachments to the phone, but they go into a location in the "My Files" on the phone. It is a lot easier to access an email from a client, be able to read what they sent, and then open the attachment from within that email. If she has to save the emails and attachments separately there is nothing to link the two together and she would have to do what I think is many unnecessary steps to access both things.
I have an SMS string of like 50 messages. I would like to either save this entire string as some sort of file and email it, or, just forward the string in some fashion.Only options I've seen in the realm of FWD were to do one at a time.I tried to even copy/paste however, when I highlight the txt, it automatically stops at the start/ending of each message, which would take awhile.

My iPhone 4S won't save photos taken with it, or sent to it. The phone is only a little more than a week old, and as far as I can tell, has never been able to save a photo, I only just noticed the other day because I was busy learning the other bells and whistles.
I can use the camera feature to take a photo and immediately send it as a text, but I cannot save any photos taken. It pretends like it saves them, and then they disappear.
I've googled around, and most places lay out a plan that involves creating a back-up, doing a hard reset, and then restoring the phone. However, each of these make a point that when I'm restoring the phone I should not "set up a new phone" and I should not "restore with the backup" I've created, but as far as I can tell, these are my only two options.
None of the articles about this that I've found have mentioned the iphone 4s directly, so maybe the steps have changed since they were originally written?
