I have an iPhone 5 (16GB) running 8.1.1Â
Suddenly it won't display info in landscape format. Haven't dropped it or anything like that.Â
Cant see anything in settings.

When writing text in landscape mode using the qwerty keyboard, the text does not display in the textbox. However if I then exit the keyboard or turn the phone into its portrait position any entered text then appears. The problem happens ntermittently and disappears if I restart the phone. The phone is only two days old and I have already had to restart it 4 times.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently got an HTC One M8, and when I try to write a long text message, thats long enough to not fit all on the one window (so it has to scroll), it scrolls so that the bottom line of text is just above the on-screen keyboard. But THEN when i type, the auto suggest words appear above the keyboard, and cover over what I'm typing so that I can't see it, which is really annoying and means every word I have to click back and forth between the editing screen and the other screen to get the view of what I just wrote back.
PS I just noticed it only happens in landscape orientation. I always write texts this way since the keys are bigger and my hands are large. In portrait orientation it works fine.
So now my question is, is is possible to write long texts in landscape format?
Every time I take a photo in portrait mode and then upload to email, text or face book, the photo is automatically sent out in landscape format. How do I have the phone send the photo out the way I took it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically the town where I live (lets call it Town A) is about 20 mins away from the town where I work (Town B). When i'm at work, everything seems to be fine. My phone recognises my correct location & the town name displays correctly on the clock/weather widget on my home screen, Google maps etc.
However, the problems start when I drive home to "Town A" at the end of the day. For some reason when I get home, my phone is still convinced that i'm back near my place of work. The clock/weather widget displays the name of Town B where I work rather than Town A where I live.
When i'm at home & I open Google Maps to see a visual representation of where my phone thinks I am, it shows me near to, but not exactly at, my place of work. If I click the "My Location" icon, it will sometimes update & show my correct position at home. As a result the clock/weather widget then updates to show the correct town name. However, within a few minutes it updates again & reverts back to displaying the town name for where I work.
Interestingly i know that there is a cell phone mast about half a mile away from the location near to my work that Google Maps incorrectly pinpoints me at when at home, so it appears the phone is trying to triangulate my position from phone mast locations? Despite the fact that i have location mode set to high accuracy, so it should be using mast locations, WiFi and GPS to pinpoint my accurate position?
Bizarrely, this is the only time the location functions play up. All other times it seems to work correctly.
My iPhone 4S won't text in landscape anymore. It used to and then just stopped.

I have gone to Options, Owner Information and typed it in.I then pressed the menu button and save.But when I lock my screen (by pressing star) the owner info doesn't show on screen?

I just upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy s5 and when I paired it with the Honda Pilot, the music will play but no information is displaying.

This is equipped with Bluetooth and I can play music from my S6 through the car.
The only problem is the track information is being 'sent' to the car. It actually displays 'No track information'...
I turned on cell info display and the phone showed cell info. But after making a call using my second sim, the cell info disappears. The cell info again appears only after rebooting the phone.

I saw the post that says it is compatible with Garmin accessories.I have a Garmin Chest Strap monitor that pairs with the device fine.However when i start a work out it connects and does NOT show any heart rate info.I have verified that the monitor works with Garmin 305 GPS/ Monitor.I tried changing the Batteries.Or do I have a faulty unit? I noticed someone paired a new garmin premium strap.Maybe older monitors don't show data even though they pair up with the MOTOACTV?

Suddenly it disconnected and after multiple attempts to reconnect,the WiFi page has stopped displaying ALL connections.I have tried basically placing my phone on top of my internet modem to no avail and have even tried my friends WiFi and nothing is coming up. I have tried resetting the network connections and restarting but just nothing.

I used to only have to enter my password for email ,banking and other sites like these because my user name was always saved but now when i click on "keep me logged in" nothing happens and i have to enter all my info for every site i'm on now every time i go on them, very annoying.

Background: 2 days ago call history stopped displaying dialed call. today it stopped displaying any in/outgoing calls to. Didn't made any changes to any setting, menu options etc. it just spontaneously stopped working.

Whenever I open these apps I always firstly just switch them to landscape before doing anything....so if it happened automatically it would be much more convenient.
My iPhone no longer switches from portrait to landscape when I flip it around.

Ever since playing with the iPad, I've always felt restricted with the iPhone only displaying the home screen in portrait mode. I know it is more suitable for that size display, but I think it would be cool when using it as a media device.Does anyone think it will ever become available in the future on the iPhone? They look fine on the IPhone when taken the old way. It's only when viewing on computer.
