BB Torch :: Keyboard On Screen Stopped Displaying?
Apr 17, 2012
Somedays ago the keyboard on my screen stopped displaying, then one day my phone started deleting data and I had to take the battery out to stop it., and when I put it back again there is no screen display..
The Virtual Keyboard on my BB Torch won't display any ideas on how I can rectify this? I guess Imust have done something without knowing. The slide out keybaord works fine, but I can't get the Virtual Keybaord to show in any application.
The slide out keyboard on my tOrch has stopped working and O2 want to take my phone off me for at least 7 days to see if it can be repaired. Cannot be without for this long. Phone is less than 12 months old so should be under BB warranty.
Recently my 9800 torch keyboard has stopped working it hasnt been exposed to water or anything. The touch screen is fine no problems at all i presumed that it had broken and that was that...then one morning my screen flashed black l(like it had been locked) and the keyboard started working then after 5 mins it stopped. This has happened for the past 3 mornings now so i thought it could poss be a software issue. I have rebooted my phone (bat pull) done a full wipe of everything and still no joy
My device version is v6.0.0.246 bundle 695 it says it is the latest software
Just got my torch last night! yayyy! I did read in one of the threads there is a way to bring the virtual keyboard down by swiping up and down (I think). But when I do that, I always open the manage connections option. Can someone explain how to get it to show wo opening the physical keyboard?
My phone quit displaying the Verizon logo at the top and now it only displays 3G and the signal bar. And its falling off the 3g network after finishing with voice calls.
I have had a Nokia E51 for about 4 years - I used it till it literally stopped working. That phone started out great, but gave me A LOT of trouble and I started to hate it around month 6.
Fast forward a few years and I need to buy a new phone. I search around and find a phone that has OFFLINE GPS! Whoa! Also, great reviews! I am sold. Turns out it's another Nokia (C6-01).
I have had this thing for about 2.5 months now and I am getting really really paranoid considering my history with Nokia phones. They have always surprised me in a very negative way after initially seducing me. I want to love Nokia, but the phone's always prevent me.
Anyway, Last night I tried to set an alarm on my c6-01 and when I tried to alter the time by tapping the text field, THE ON SCREEN KEYBOARD DID NOT SHOW UP. f*ck. Basically, according to my phone, I could only wake up at 11:15 AM - despite having work at 8:00 AM.
I did do a recent software update a few weeks ago, but from what I remember, the keyboard worked after this update. I am pretty sure I am still under warranty and if that's the case, I am just going to return it to Amazon and never touch another nokia.
My phone Info:
Model: C6-01 Type: RM-601 Release: Nokia Belle Refresh Software Version: 111.040.1511 Software Version date: 2012-07-28
I have the Torch 9810 and am trying to figure out how to limit the number of icons displaying on my home screen. I use to have an bold 9700 and you could limit it to 1,2,3 or 4 rows of icons. how to limit the number of rows displayed on the screen?
If I am typing in any field where a separate typing box comes up (like "Talk" or typing an email, where you type, see a preview, and then hit DONE or something similar to go back to the point where you can actually send your email or your message, but not like normal SMS messages where you type and send it right away), I constantly get this weird bug.
I'll get like a double-click sound, and then if I keep typing, nothing appears in the preview box, although it actually does keep appearing in the actual message (which you can sometimes see behind the preview box). Also when that double-click sound occurs, signalling the beginning of the bug, the last couple letters I typed won't have entered properly at all.
Also is there a way to quickly turn off media sounds? I've tried to turn off all the sounds for keyboard clicking itself in Settings, but it still stays loud unless I turn down the media sounds, which I can usually only do if I'm actually in a media environment...
When I try to use the physical keyboard (opening the slider) on my BB Torch the screen blacksout. Does any have any solutions. The touch screen (closed slider) works fine, as do all the other functions. I have done update software, battery pulls, and off/on .
I am new to this forum and I have got a huge problem. A week ago, my bb Torch started to act weird when I needed The keyboard. The screen went black, or The screen got mirrored. but everything still worked when The keyboard was not sliced open. Yesterday, my bb just went black when i opened The keyboard and this time, the screen stayed black. I think there is something wrong with the software on the chip that controles the visual for the screen. Because even when i had mirrored view, it still responded on the touchscreen, but the things you saw just didnt match with What you touched. What can I do? I bought my bb online, so i cant go back to the store.
When writing text in landscape mode using the qwerty keyboard, the text does not display in the textbox. However if I then exit the keyboard or turn the phone into its portrait position any entered text then appears. The problem happens ntermittently and disappears if I restart the phone. The phone is only two days old and I have already had to restart it 4 times.
I have a iPhone 4s with IOS 7 and up until yesterday my WiFi connection was working fine. Suddenly it disconnected and after multiple attempts to reconnect, the WiFi page has stopped displaying ALL connections.I have tried basically placing my phone on top of my internet modem to no avail and have even tried my friends WiFi and nothing is coming up. I have tried resetting the network connections and restarting but just nothing.
My touch screen keyboard does not come up when I want to use it and so I can only use my keyboard once I slide the screen up. I must have hit a button but for life of me cannot find which one I need to turn it back on again. It use to come up automatically when I touched in a typing area for texts, web etc - now nothing.
I am unable to type anything on the touch screen keyboard. The keyboard pops up when required but unable to type anything.I even tried removing the battery with the power still on and inserting it back but this did not help.
how to change back the look of your keyboard, on the screen. I recently instailed a new theme to my phone, and it changed the look of the keyboard. So I changed it back to my other theme, and the keyboard stayed the same. So how can I change it back to the original look of the keyboard?
I frequently turn the Triumph sideways to use the larger keyboard (easier to press buttons). After the first few letters I press are displayed, I can hear the phone click to acknowledge that I pressed a key, but nothing is displayed on screen.Items of note:
-The audible click when a key is pressed but doesn't display is not the same sound as when a key is pressed and actually displays correctly on-screen.
-often, but not always, when the phone is turned upright, the missing key presses will appear after all as successfully typed in the display. This is my first smartphone. Is this a problem with the gyro-rotation logic? Is this a common problem with phones in general? Is it a symptom reated to scren protectors?
-I have not removed any screen protector meant to be permanent to the phone. I believe there was a bluish film meant to be removed (which I did - at least therewas definitely one over the camera lens)
-I did carefully apply a ZAGG Invisible Shield universal screen protector. NOTE: It was not quite as large as as the Triumph screen and thus the top edge of it lies slightly into the front-facing camera lens and the sensor on the upper right.
I have a BB Torch 9800 and for some reason the digital keyboard went missing - I cannot get access to it - and furthermore when I tilt or turn my phone the screen does not adapt to the new position.
Recently the touch screen keyboard if my blackberry torch has stopped working when I close the my phone (slide close) and also the rotation that Blackberry torch does when you change the position of it isn't also work, I thought it was software problem but it's not.
When I open the screen to use the Qwerty keyboard the screen turns off. I sent it back to RIM, but they said it was fine and sent it back. The screen won't stay on when flipped open.
my screen has stopped rotating when I put the device into a landscape axis. I have seen many post about people who want to disable this feature but I like it and now my device has stopped doing it.
I dont know if i'm the only one or the first one but here goes.Model: Torch 9860Operating system: OS 7.0 bundle 1465Pin <Personal Content Removed> My screen just stopped rotatin. it was doing it in the morning but in the afternoon it stopped rotatin.I've tried everything.I tried a soft reset a hard resetI even reinstalled OS 7 but i've read a post the foundedsolution was to go back to OS 6. something. But having a newly purchased telephone not dropped once i find it very silly to downgrade my Operating system.
The call history on my 8900 stopped working. Does anyone have any suggestions on how it can be resolved? Background: 2 days ago call history stopped displaying dialed call. today it stopped displaying any in/outgoing calls to. Didn't made any changes to any setting, menu options etc. it just spontaneously stopped working. in call history/General Options played with the settings. Changed the "Phone List View" from "call log" to name and most recent. Recent calls I made appeared, but when I switched back to the call log setting all that is displayed are calls from Mar. 1 and previous.Troubleshooting performed: changed setting within the Call History/General Options menu.
