I have received multiple errors from my iPhone 5 that say No SIM card installed. When this happens the phone and cellular data don't work. When I power the phone down and start it back up it works ok. What should I do?

For starters i love this handst but getting very annoyed by this fault I keep on having.Pretty much i am on my 3rd N900 as my last two kept on telling me to insert a sim card when there was one in there which worked with other phones and other sim cards did the same thing in the phone. Also it is always loosing the signal.usually a quick reset fixes this problem but now this phone won't pick it up at all. It has had no signal for 24 hours. Sim works in other phones and other simcards have the same problem in this phone.
I have changed from dual to gsm and 3g but still no luck. Carphonewarehouse says it is a antenee problem but this has happened to 3 of them!! Any ideas, as i am looking to swap it for the Nexus One which i don't really want to do but will be forced to if none of you have a fix.
I installed a memory card to my blackberry curve. Under status for media card, it says that all the space is free. But my bb shows that memory is full. It's doing that great thing where is randomly erases messages and numbers in my call log. I don't know why it is not using the memory card since i have 3.6gb free on the card. Any ideas?i love my curve dont want to upgrade but this is crazy

My old SD card (32GB) wasn't large enough to hold all of my music on it so I recently went out and bought a larger SD card. I currently have over 2000 songs favorited on my music player and would like to avoid spending over an hour to favorite each one again. Is there any way I can put all of my music on my new SD card and still keep all 2000+ favorites when the new SD is put in my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI regularly lose song files on the 32GB MicroSDHC card (Class 10) in my Atrix 2. They disappear without a trace, and without notice of any kind. I've been checking my music directory regularly with a file explorer app, and I've noticed that they tend to disappear whenever minor changes are made to the SD card (mounting/unmounting the card, connecting to my PC, adding new files to the card, revising existing files, etc.). I've tried using different SD cards, different PC connection methods (MotoHelper and USB Mass Storage), but nothing seems to work.
Is Android 2.3.5 not reading the card properly? I don't see the point of using an SD card with this phone if I can't guarantee that the files will stay accessible.
I want to buy a larger MicroSD card, 16 Gb, however I fear that all my installed software will become invalid even if I copy everything from the existing card to the new one. How can I upgrade my card smoothly? Will the MicroSD (HD!) 16Gb actually work on my Sony XPeria Pro?

I have read online how I can sync my phone between 2 computers using a hex editor, however I cannot access my itunes on the old computer to get the digits needed to edit with my new computer. Any ideas how I can use the phone with my new computer without losing all my phone music, contacts, messages etc?

I had one little problem about two weeks after I bought it, where it suddenly froze up and then shut off and wouldn't turn back on for several hours until I connected it to my computer. Over the passed couple of weeks, I've started having trouble with it.It started as just being slow to connect to internet and to place calls, but it has steadily worsened to the point that I am randomly dropping service in places I've never had a problem with before. I keep dropping calls or calls won't go through at all, and the call quality has gone down. Messages also won't go through, and notifications from my apps won't appear. Even in my Facebook app, I'll recieve the red number telling me I have a new notification, but when I touch it, the notifications screen won't refresh. Today, the little "4G" symbol kept changing to the "E" symbol.

I bought laptop, downloaded itunes and have recently synced my phone to it. Now my music is on there but no pictures which is fine. But every time I plug my phone in it tells me that there is an update available for 5.1.1. I click update then it sends me a warning message saying updating the iOs 5.1.1. will delete the apps, media, and including the itunes purchases. To preserve the content update it to the computer where i sync music, apps, photos, and videos. Where and how do I do that and if I've already sync my phone, i think, is it safe to continue the update without losing all my music and pictures on my phone?

I've had an iPhone 3GS on Orange since April 2010, and am waiting to upgrade until the 5 (or whatever they call it) comes out later this year. I've always had a full 3G signal in my house since I have had my iPhone. Around 3 weeks ago, I suddenly noticed one evening that I had no signal, I put it down to a local reception problem or something and ignored it. Later that evening though, I realised that my wife, who has a Blackberry Curve also on Orange, still had a full signal. I also have an iPad 2 3G on Orange, which had full signal still, and then my brother came round with his iPhone 4 on Orange and again had full signal.
The next day I was driving to work and suddenly my signal reappeared, pinging in half a dozen texts and missed call alerts etc. Then when I arrived at work (where I usually get 2-3 bars of signal) again my phone showed No Signal. One of my colleagues has an iPhone 4 on Orange, and sitting on the table right next to my phone was getting 3 bars of 3g signal, where I had nothing. Walking around the town on my lunch break I managed to get 1 bar up and get a text in.
Over the last few weeks this pattern has repeated. I can still go to some places where I can get a full 3g signal. Sometimes I'm driving and the signal comes in for a while then goes. Sometimes I go to larger towns and get a full signal easily. However mostly for the last 3 weeks I'm getting no signal. When at home, if I go out of my house.
I have tried a normal restore, a reset and a DFU reset. Funnily enough these all seem to make it suddenly work again at home for about half an hour, then it disappears again. I've read about some people having a problem with jailbroken phones, but this phone never has been. I'm guessing there could be something wrong with the internal ariel, but it puzzles me why it still sometimes picks up a signal. Is there a signal amplifier in the phone that could have gone wrong and it's making it harder to find the signal?

This is seriously frustrating and I understand where apple are coming from with the whole 'what if someone steals it from you' but to be fair this is quite badly thought out. Laptop's have a life of about 3/4 years and unfortuantly mine has 'kicked the bucket'. I need to get the pictures off of my phone with out sending all 1,000 odd to other people and spending all the mms costs. I have a iPhone 3GS, and have had no problems with it whatsoever. However, recently whenever I am using an ap that is sending/receiving data (either through Wifi or 3G connection) my signal drops out every minute or so for several seconds, before searching and reconnecting, and resets my Wifi connection also. However, when simply texting or talking on the phone this doesnt occur. The problem seemed to have begun after installing iOS5, but since updating to iOS5.1, it still remains the same.
I have tried all the basics of reinserting my sim, restarting the unit, as well as trying a soft reset etc. It seems odd that the problem only primarily occurs with 3rd party aps, such as banking, chat and social networking including facebook.
