I want to buy a larger MicroSD card, 16 Gb, however I fear that all my installed software will become invalid even if I copy everything from the existing card to the new one. How can I upgrade my card smoothly? Will the MicroSD (HD!) 16Gb actually work on my Sony XPeria Pro?

I regularly lose song files on the 32GB MicroSDHC card (Class 10) in my Atrix 2. They disappear without a trace, and without notice of any kind. I've been checking my music directory regularly with a file explorer app, and I've noticed that they tend to disappear whenever minor changes are made to the SD card (mounting/unmounting the card, connecting to my PC, adding new files to the card, revising existing files, etc.). I've tried using different SD cards, different PC connection methods (MotoHelper and USB Mass Storage), but nothing seems to work.
Is Android 2.3.5 not reading the card properly? I don't see the point of using an SD card with this phone if I can't guarantee that the files will stay accessible.
I just got myself a E52, was very surprised to see a 1GB Card in such a great phone. (Is this 2005? 1 GB Card)Anyways, here is my main question. I want to change this card to 8GB.I already have got the 8GB MicroSDHC card, but not sure how this will work.There is Maps Data about 500 MB, and other files.if i simply copy the contents of one card to other will it work?

It's definitely outgrowing my 32GB one, so I have my sights on a 64GB (or maybe even a 128GB). I don't mind having to re-add my music to the new microSD. The major question here is: Can I move my apps (and data) from one microSD to another microSD smoothly and successfully?
I'd really don't want to have to re-download ALL of my apps onto the new microSD card. Downloading my apps to my phone's memory is not an option; the phone doesn't have enough free memory to accommodate my app catalog. I already know how I will do it...it's only a matter of if it can be done.
After upgrading the IOS version to 5.1.1 into my iPhone 4 I started receiving the message "No SIM Card Installed" constantly. I reset the phone and worked for a while, but then the message poped up again. Even the Airplane Mode "on/off" solved temporarily the problem but as the same as above, the message poped up again. I went to the local carrier store here (in Brazil) and the attendant told me this new version was not compatible with iPhone 4, only the 4S version. Anyway, I'm trying to restore the old version but when attempting to update, it goes straight to the 5.1.1 version. Is there any way to update until the 5.0.X instead?

My MicroSD card in my Xperia is currently not working. It suddenly didn't worked! I checked the memory card on my laptop and tried to reformat it, but it says, "Disk is Write Protected". I cannot reformat it also using other Cellphones.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ? Are there any files that can be copied so that the phone autodetects the installed apps?

I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk, so I still have the songs I had b4 I've downloaded the 2.1 OS; when I look into the X10 Mini, the "AVAILABLE ROOM" seems to have gotten bigger; but I also have many times in which the phone says: "no SD card found" or"no available storage" and such, regardless all my songs are there(not sure where!), and the "SD and storage" still shows the amount of memory like - Total room: 3.67GB and Available room: 3.11GB; considering I only had about 1.70GB left pryor to the 2.1 OS update!!!

App manager lists the entries as filenames, the icons are semitransparent generic android icons, it tries but fails to load the apps and google play says its not installed.

View 9 Replies View RelatedChecking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixing drop its icon for me to be able to use it ... from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem!I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.
