i keep losing my ringtone and network on iphone 5 and some other little faults since i install ios 8.1.1 i have buyed ring tone twice and lose them thay are i itunes and backed up but dissapear off my phone and can not get them back and some time phone reboots when at apple going to release a new ios to fix these faults and will i got my music tone back

I bought a factory unlocked IPhone 4s (Model MD234LL and Serial DNPGYCCWDT9Y) from US and after the software upgrade 5.1.1 (9B206) I find that the device looses signal strength and does not connect to Internet 3G or on other occasions Internet connections drops. Sometimes I have "No service" that also comes up. Even making phone calls is difficult and during calls the conversation is dropped and i have to call back sometimes. I also use a BlackBerry and have a connection from same service provider but my BlackBerry shows better Internet browsing capabilities than the iPhone. When the iPhone shows no service my BlackBerry has signal strength.

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently just bought the XPRT and I love it! Fast phone with a sweet keyboard. I am using the phone in Australia so I am using the GMS/UMTS network mode.
I like to turn my phone off at night to conserve battery power as I often forget to recharge my phone. However, when I turn my phone back on it restores the Sprint network mode and turns on all the network guards and turns data connections off. So having to change all this again each time is slightly annoying so I have just been leaving my phone on at night.
Is there a way to save these settings so I can turn my phone off at night? Or do I have to leave my phone on?
I've tried calling Verizon, but they won't open a ticket because of a known issue with the .173 update, but everytime I enter a extended network area, I quickly lose data connection. It seems like I hear of quite a few people in my area having this problem. Verizon pushed a hybrid PRL to my phone and the PRL version went from 15098 to 13014. Am I going to just have to wait till they actually send someone to fix a local tower or is this something nation wide?

This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

I have read online how I can sync my phone between 2 computers using a hex editor, however I cannot access my itunes on the old computer to get the digits needed to edit with my new computer. I had one little problem about two weeks after I bought it, where it suddenly froze up and then shut off and wouldn't turn back on for several hours until I connected it to my computer. Over the passed couple of weeks, I've started having trouble with it.It started as just being slow to connect to internet and to place calls, but it has steadily worsened to the point that I am randomly dropping service in places I've never had a problem with before. I keep dropping calls or calls won't go through at all, and the call quality has gone down. Messages also won't go through, and notifications from my apps won't appear. Even in my Facebook app, I'll recieve the red number telling me I have a new notification, but when I touch it, the notifications screen won't refresh. Today, the little "4G" symbol kept changing to the "E" symbol.

I bought laptop, downloaded itunes and have recently synced my phone to it. Now my music is on there but no pictures which is fine. But every time I plug my phone in it tells me that there is an update available for 5.1.1. I click update then it sends me a warning message saying updating the iOs 5.1.1. will delete the apps, media, and including the itunes purchases. To preserve the content update it to the computer where i sync music, apps, photos, and videos. Where and how do I do that and if I've already sync my phone, i think, is it safe to continue the update without losing all my music and pictures on my phone?

I've had an iPhone 3GS on Orange since April 2010, and am waiting to upgrade until the 5 (or whatever they call it) comes out later this year. I've always had a full 3G signal in my house since I have had my iPhone. Around 3 weeks ago, I suddenly noticed one evening that I had no signal, I put it down to a local reception problem or something and ignored it. Later that evening though, I realised that my wife, who has a Blackberry Curve also on Orange, still had a full signal. I also have an iPad 2 3G on Orange, which had full signal still, and then my brother came round with his iPhone 4 on Orange and again had full signal.
The next day I was driving to work and suddenly my signal reappeared, pinging in half a dozen texts and missed call alerts etc. Then when I arrived at work (where I usually get 2-3 bars of signal) again my phone showed No Signal. One of my colleagues has an iPhone 4 on Orange, and sitting on the table right next to my phone was getting 3 bars of 3g signal, where I had nothing. Walking around the town on my lunch break I managed to get 1 bar up and get a text in.
Over the last few weeks this pattern has repeated. I can still go to some places where I can get a full 3g signal. Sometimes I'm driving and the signal comes in for a while then goes. Sometimes I go to larger towns and get a full signal easily. However mostly for the last 3 weeks I'm getting no signal. When at home, if I go out of my house.
I have tried a normal restore, a reset and a DFU reset. Funnily enough these all seem to make it suddenly work again at home for about half an hour, then it disappears again. I've read about some people having a problem with jailbroken phones, but this phone never has been. I'm guessing there could be something wrong with the internal ariel, but it puzzles me why it still sometimes picks up a signal. Is there a signal amplifier in the phone that could have gone wrong and it's making it harder to find the signal?

This is seriously frustrating and I understand where apple are coming from with the whole 'what if someone steals it from you' but to be fair this is quite badly thought out. Laptop's have a life of about 3/4 years and unfortuantly mine has 'kicked the bucket'. I need to get the pictures off of my phone with out sending all 1,000 odd to other people and spending all the mms costs.
