after resetting phone some apps are in"waiting" status

My iPhone 4S will not download updates to my existing apps or new apps. Every attempt at downloading simply goes into a "waiting" status. I know it's not my network because my wife's 4S downloads apps no problem, as does my daughters iPod Touch. I have tried completely shutting my iPhone off and turning it back on. No luck. I've signed out of iTunes and back in. No luck.
Right now the only way I've been able to get updates and apps onto my phone is by syncing it, which is ridiculous. I don't understand why this suddenly started happening. I've had the phone since November with zero problems. I know it's not server traffic because my wife's downloads come in quickly on the same network. I haven't been able to download anything in several weeks now.

I have this icon that wont go away dont know what it is for, just a app icon that says "Waiting" below it, never downloads anything. When I go to App Store > Purchased > all my apps are already installed so no clue what it is. It will go away briefly but then come back its very strange. I have tried turning off phone, hard resetting phone. Then even hold down to see if let delete it but when all the other icons wiggle this one doesn't have the x to delete.

My iPhone 4s keeps telling me that I have 13 apps waiting to download, but they don't download, I have downloaded other apps and it's when I do this it tells me about the apps. I have made sure that there are no up dates for all apps as well as making sure that the phones software it up to date and have switched the phone off for the master reset, but I still have the problem.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1, I have downloaded other apps fine
New apps and app updates will no longer load on my iPhone. It just says 'waiting' and stalls.

After upgrading ios 5.1. I cannot update apps on iphone so I tried to solve this problem.... rebooting, all resetting, all network resetting etc. But I cannot handle this. When apps are being updated I can see waiting under icon but does not progress any more. Also I cannot delete apps waiting under icon on iphone and itunes. x mark does not appear on these apps but I can see x mark on other apps.

Over the past few days I have been having issues updating and downloading apps. When I go to do either, the app or apps just sit there "waiting", sometimes for hours. Eventually they will download or I will just connect to the computer to update. This is happening on both 3G and wifi connections.

When attempting to install new apps, they are faded and indicate "Waiting...." on my iphone screen. What does this mean?

Today i tryed to download some of my iTunes purchased songs and they all stuck on waiting. So, I went to Appstore to try updating my apps and games, same story there. Tryed to hardreboot my iPhone (lock+home) with no luck, tryed to log out from my acc on iTunes and Appstore, still nothing. No other downloads like podcasts etc are running. I dont want to try restore. Also tryed on wifi and 3g, both wont work :( iPhone4 iOS5.0.1

To start off, it is an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1 with Verizon's network. My iPhone is NOT downloading apps at all. Their download icon appears on my screen but never gets past "Waiting..." Now I am connected to a wifi network, with iCloud supporting my 4th Generation iPod Touch running iOS 5.1 and the iPhone 4S. So I've plugged my iPhone into iTunes to attempt getting the results I wish to acquire and it went alright until the download stopped a little under halfway through the download. it does not resume, it just stops. So after getting irritated, I go to my iPod to see if it can download apps, and sure enough the apps I want are sitting there on the screen. How is it possible that my iPhone 4S that is brand new can download apps, but my iPod that is slightly older can just download apps off of iCloud sync...? Please help, I need to download apps, my birthday is coming up and I plan on spending $50 on apps & music, I can't do that if I can't download any content!

I used iExplorer to delete all the stuff on "download" section and in worked for a while... Now I'm stucked (not sure if "stucked" is correct, English isn't my first language) again.

safari works fine, wireless is fine, but whenever i update or install an app, it'll say "waiting" for as long as i'll leave it up for. i left it going for a day, and still "waiting" i also can't download podcasts, i can listen, but the download never begins, "waiting" but like i said, safari works fine, email is fine, Internet, etc all work.i've turned it off, i've re-synced it. do i need to restore it to factory? will that do anything, or is it something else?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon, currently running Android v4.4.4. Due to battery life that's gone down to about 7 hours from an initial average of about 11, I decided it was time to reset my phone to see if that might work (though I've taken to the less nuclear option of allowing Google to restore my apps and app data from Google's backup).
Before the reset, I'd had almost every app that could be moved to the SD card moved to the SD card.
The reset did not affect the SD card. Now, I'd like to move all my apps that can be so moved, moved onto the SD card again. My question is, since the reset did not affect my SD card (I'd even removed it for one of the two resets that I've done since last night), is there app stuff from my previous installation on my SD card, stuff that I should be able to delete now to make space for my new set of apps that I want to move to the card?If so, how do I clear out that old app stuff?
I assume that I need to...If I had Audible installed on the card before, and I now have Audible in my phone's internal storage, if I move it to the card, is there any chance that it'll recognize the previous installation, re-associate itself with it, and thus save me the time of downloading previously downloaded audiobooks?
Does resetting "all settings" deletes, apps, functions, photos?

I just got my S6 (SM-920FD) ... The status bar on lockscreen seems to be white instead of the wallpaper being shown. It looks like the wallpaper is not extended upto status bar. I also noticed this issue on some apps (which works perfectly on my other devices), its only S6 having this issue.
Please see attached screenshots.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and I really want the Status Bar to completely disappear from all my apps. I achieved it to disappear on my home screen with Nova Launcher, but not my apps. My phone is not rooted, but I will root it if I have to. I just want to have a clean swipe down of the notification bar without the status bar displaying.

Is there a way to incorporate FourSquare?
Is there a way to make the Widget more visually appealing by changing the colors, or shape?
However when I connect to BB desktop manager the phone is identified with the correct PIN. The fact that it is zero at home>options>status is causing some of my apps to fail to work.
This just happened today evidently when I sync'd the phone to my desktop. I have only loaded one OS update, and that was weeks ago. The particular app is question is Shortcut Me

I purchased an album on iTunes on my iPhone. The album downloaded on my MacBook Pro but the download is still waiting to download on my phone. Is there a way to restart or delete the download on my phone and start the download over?

I had 3 apps that needed updating, I went to the App icon and pressed update to all three. They all said "waiting" for a couple days and never installed. Then I deleted the apps and tried downloading them and they said the same thing "waiting", but never downloaded. Now, I try downloading any app to see if anything will download.

Please help me!
I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
And I'm not sure if this is connected or not, but under setting > phone > show my caller ID, the ON button is greyed out.
A little history & weird problems I encountered:
My iPhone 4S was stolen about a month ago (I'm still ****** about it).I did a remote wipe on it and I figured the person who stole is has thrown away the SIM card because the number isn't active anymore.
So I just bought a brand new iPhone 4S and a new number again. I synced it to iTunes and upgraded it to iOS 5.1 then I did a restore from my old back up. Everything was fine except for the iMessage. It shows "waiting for actvation". When I tap under Receive At, the email address is listed as well as my OLD phone number (the one that was stolen). It was greyed out and the status was "verying" which later turned to "error". I have no way of editing or removing that old number. When I connect my iPhone to iTunes, the phone # was shown as n/a on iTunes, but after 30 mins or so, it will appear.
So I did a restore again and this time set is as a new iPhone. The old phone number is now gone, but only my email address is listed. I can't input my phone number there.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.
Is this an error on my iPhone or maybe the iOS or is it the carrier?
Any input is greatly appreciated!
