May 10, 2012My iPhone 4S will not download updates to my existing apps or new apps. Every attempt at downloading simply goes into a "waiting" status. I know it's not my network because my wife's 4S downloads apps no problem, as does my daughters iPod Touch. I have tried completely shutting my iPhone off and turning it back on. No luck. I've signed out of iTunes and back in. No luck.
Right now the only way I've been able to get updates and apps onto my phone is by syncing it, which is ridiculous. I don't understand why this suddenly started happening. I've had the phone since November with zero problems. I know it's not server traffic because my wife's downloads come in quickly on the same network. I haven't been able to download anything in several weeks now.

Apr 1, 2012I had 3 apps that needed updating, I went to the App icon and pressed update to all three. They all said "waiting" for a couple days and never installed. Then I deleted the apps and tried downloading them and they said the same thing "waiting", but never downloaded. Now, I try downloading any app to see if anything will download.

Oct 19, 2011Since the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated.On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not

I have made sure that there are no up dates for all apps as well as making sure that the phones software it up to date and have switched the phone off for the master reset, but I still have the problem.

When apps are being updated I can see waiting under icon but does not progress any more. I have turned it on/off, turned on airplane mode and turned it off, backed up to the cloud. Mar 16, 2012To start off, it is an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1 with Verizon's network. My iPhone is NOT downloading apps at all. Their download icon appears on my screen but never gets past "Waiting..." Now I am connected to a wifi network, with iCloud supporting my 4th Generation iPod Touch running iOS 5.1 and the iPhone 4S. So I've plugged my iPhone into iTunes to attempt getting the results I wish to acquire and it went alright until the download stopped a little under halfway through the download. it does not resume, it just stops. So after getting irritated, I go to my iPod to see if it can download apps, and sure enough the apps I want are sitting there on the screen. How is it possible that my iPhone 4S that is brand new can download apps, but my iPod that is slightly older can just download apps off of iCloud sync...? Please help, I need to download apps, my birthday is coming up and I plan on spending $50 on apps & music, I can't do that if I can't download any content!

Jun 12, 2012safari works fine, wireless is fine, but whenever i update or install an app, it'll say "waiting" for as long as i'll leave it up for. i left it going for a day, and still "waiting" i also can't download podcasts, i can listen, but the download never begins, "waiting" but like i said, safari works fine, email is fine, Internet, etc all work.i've turned it off, i've re-synced it. do i need to restore it to factory? will that do anything, or is it something else?

Feb 27, 2015Having trouble trying to sideload apps on my unrooted Verizon Galaxy S5 running lollipop 5.0. I have the unknown sources box checked, I install things from the Samsung store with no problems. So, from my phone, with chrome browser, I downloaded the APK file for Facebook lite from apk mirror website.
Then I went to my stock file manager and found that file in the download folder obviously, which is on the internal memory. I click on it, and it seems to show the proper screen; name of the app, "do you want to install this application? It will get access to:...." and it lists all of the permissions. So I read and scroll down then the options are "cancel" and "install".
So obviously I try to click on the install button, but absolutely nothing happens. It's not a delayed response, no different if I long touch. Nothing. Yet if I click cancel it works immediately. So I tried moving the file to the SD card memory and got the same results. I can't figure it out. I've tried Googling and it get no good results, everything just shows the regular method that I'm using already. I can't find anything specific for this phone in case that's why it's not working. I've tried sideloading before a while back and had the same problem on 4.4.4.

Mar 22, 2015I recently updated my s5 to 4.4.4 and now apps such as snapchat, facebook, and instagram wont load. Chrome and other apps work fine. If I do put the phone on airplane mode the wifi works perfectly and also using data works perfectly.
