IPhone :: Anyone Else Waiting On Their Invisible Screen?
Jun 22, 2010
Mine shipped on Friday morning and I still don't have it. Gonna be a little upset tomorrow if it doesn't arrive. I'm not taking my iphone out of the box until I have it.
I bought HTC Desire HD invisible-shield and installed it , but when i was installing it i didn't saw that there was dust on it now invisibleshield is instaled and under it yuo can see dust So can I remove invisible-shield, clean screen and install it again? I installed it yesterday .
I've got a week old 8520, put an invisible shield on the other day and it looks ok. One corner is screwed up because I had to peel it up to remove a speck of dust but over all it looks fine. I just noticed today that there was some dust under one of the corners, but it's under the plastic screen not under the invisible shield. I thought these screens were sealed? It hasn't been dropped or anything, barely been used. Any advise besides taking it off and cleaning it out? What else besides the special plastic tool can be used to remove the screen?
I used invisible shield on my ipod touch and was reasonably happy but the iphone 4 has such a smooth, glossy screen, I wondering if I want to add something with as tacky a feel as the invisible shield. What are you people all using for your iphone film protector?
Hope this is the right place - this is my first post.I bought the app Kodak SmileMaker a while ago, put it on my iPod touch, then deleted it later when I needed more space. Now a week ago, I reinstalled it directly through the touch's App store. I started using my touch for other things and didn't wait to see if it completely installed.Anyway, when I looked a bit later, the place where the icon was when it was installing, was empty. I went back into the App store to download it again (assuming it hadn't fully installed), only to find the App store told me I'd already downloaded it and wouldn't let me download it again. Through some coincidence, I must have searched something similar to "smile" on my spotlight searching function on the touch (ie. the screen before the home screen). There it showed up! I opened it and it worked fine. Now, I have no idea how this happened. My question is: can I do it again????Anybody? This would be brilliant! It would get rid of apps that you don't want to be anywhere on the springboard, yet you can use if you want to, because you know there on your ipod/iphone.In fact this is a great idea to develop a cheap application for, but I don't know how to do it and am not bothered about it. But how can I do it again?
Im thinking of getting the Zagg invisible shield because I want my phone to be naked but still somewhat protected. Has anyone put the invisible shield on their iphone 4? If so should I get the full body or just the front and back? I'm also a little worried that it will unstick at some point and start to peel off. Any feedback would be great.
I counted once because I was trying to figure out why my iPhone was full when it shouldn't be, iTunes says my apps take up 9 GB's of space. Could this be stuff my apps have downloaded or something that I'm unaware of? It seems like I should have more than 4 and a half GB's left of space. How do I clear that invisible data from the iPhone?
I was thinking about getting some sort of full phone screen protectors and I called BB and asked if they had a kiosk that installed the screen protector shields for you and they said all they did have an invisible shield kiosk where they would "install" it for you in under 20 minutes.but they only have covers for the front screen.I have a few questions before i consider buying one though.Which of the two is least noticeable, and which would you prefer.
Is Best Buy good for applying Invisible shield or other products simmilar to this? I know the iPhone has water sensors in almost every port and i want to make sure they don't turn orange and activate. When they apply the shield for you do you get to watch or do they do it in a back room somewhere?
Has anyone gotten this done and how has it turned out? Would you recommend getting the shield put on by Best Buy employees or DIY?I've never had any experience with the protectors that need water or some sort of liquid to be applied. I have put on some cheap screen protectors on my old 3GS and they worked great but i can't seem to find any protectors that cover both the front and back of the phone (sides would be nice too) that don't need liquid to adhere to the phone.
If anyone knows of a phone protector that covers both the front and back of the phone and can be applied without spray it would be extremely helpful. If there are any that include side protection too that would help.
Has anyone noticed with their invisible shield a vertical rainbow line? It appears on only white / light backdrops? It bothered me for a while so I bought and had a new one installed, sure enough a new one came up on the other side of the screen. Any opinions on how to avoid?
I Don't Want Just A Silicon Case But I Want A Case That Show Off The Phone Like Apple Bumper, Griffin Reveal, And SwitchEasy Nude. Can Someone Please Help Me?
Basically, if I begin to type an e-mail message (doesn't matter what e-mail account I use) and stop typing it (where it makes a draft), if I cancel/delete that draft and never send the e-mail, the draft still exists on my phone somewhere I can't see. How do I know this? Because, just about every day, I'll get some notifications in the notification center re: those messages being unread/unsent. Clicking on those messages will pull me into the draft I was working on, but tapping "cancel" again (instead of send) on the draft will no longer prompt the dialog confirming I want to cancel and delete the draft. It just exits the message. Modifying the draft will cause the prompt to show up again, but clicking delete does not get rid of the draft on my phone. Sending the draft does not get rid of it either. It will reappear later. I have 3 e-mail accounts on my phone and it happens with ALL of them. One of them is POP and the other 2 are Exchange based. I reproduced it again yesterday with my Comcast POP account, this time actually saving the draft and deleting it for kicks.
1. Started typing an e-mail message.
2. Decided to cancel the e-mail message.
3. Prompt occured to delete or save the draft.
4. Selected delete.
5. Draft appears to be GONE.
6. Sometime later, in the notification center, my draft will show up there. I can tap the draft in the notification center to be taken back to it.
7. Tapping cancel at this point will just exit out of the draft. Sending the draft will send the e-mail message but it will appear in the notification center later. Typing more text on the draft, hitting cancel and delete will still cause the draft to show back up later in the notification center.
I've also tried a varation of saving the first draft, going into the drafts folder under Mail and deleting the draft there... but it comes back.ay try a erase all content and settings then reconfigure everything. is these drafts are searchable in the spotlight but you can't find them normally in the Mail app.
Edit: Forgot to add that I also deleted all the e-mail accounts and readded them too.
Is anybody noticing that the ZAGG invisibleshield film material doesn't stick worth a damn to the Gorilla Glass on the front and back of the new iP4? The edges peel and the corners lift up and eventually peel back.I've ordered my warranty replacement set from ZAGG already, but the customer service lady tipped me that I am not nearly the first person to call in with the same complaints. Obviously it's either the glass "slickness" or the coating on the said glass that's the culprit.
I have always used Nokias wouldn't have anything else. I recently got a 6700 and at some point the word 'waiting' appeared at the bottom of the screen, I have no idea what this is for nor how to get rid of it. Does anybody no what this is or what its for?
I've been receiving emails for the last few months or so, the emails would go to the "messages" application and the sms/mms would go to the "text messages" application. i don't know what i did yesterday, but suddenly only txt and mms messages appear in both applications. my emails are nowhere to be found. I still get the little enveloppe at the top telling me i've received some new emails and can access the latest mesgs by clicking on the top banner (with the reminders) but my inbox has virtually disappeared. Every time i bb click when the msg app is open, i get layout options, not the app's options does this sound familiar to any one here? when i try to open "inbox" nothing happens.
I don't see 'Invisible" status in Nokia IM. Is this feature available? Or do you have a timeline as to when it will be developed and made available for Nokia phones? I am using E7 and sorry to say that this status is made available in APPS like Nimbuzz! This should be a simple coding change as you use xmpp for nokia IM.
I recently purchased & installed a invisible Shield protector on my Samsung SGH-T749 & it was a bit of a struggle to get it right. When it completely dried, I noticed several small black specks that were large enough to make a bump that can be felt with a fingernail & holds the film up a bit. I had purchased a couple of discounted IS packs for discontinued phones for $2.49 & looked at one of them & saw the same specks under the film. This sample had never been removed from the backing, but had specs on it's back side too. I emailed Zagg & tole them about the specks & got the following response. (Now, they do offer to replace the product, but it is apparent that they don't feel that the specks are their fault, or they don't believe me, as they don't mention the specs at all. I am not going to get mine replaced & am looking for an alternative.) BTW The credit card pre-charges & requiring me to return the "defective" one don't constitute a "courtesy replacement", in my mind. They called it an "installation difficulty!" Incidentally, the product shows a bit of "orange peal" texture that is not very attractive.
The ZAGG Team wrote, "I'm sorry to hear that your installation didn't go well. In general, our lifetime replacement guarantee only covers normal wear-and-tear issues, such as scratching and peeling, and typically does not cover installation difficulties, however, I am willing to extend a one-time courtesy replacement for you. To process your replacement request you will be asked to provide a credit or debit card. Your card will be charged a minimal shipping & handling fee. Additionally, your card will be pre-authorized for the retail value of the product you are replacing. You will have 25 days to return your original product. When we receive the original product back, the pre-authorized charge on your credit or debit card will be removed. Your card will be charged in full if the original product is not returned within 25 days".
deleting invisible messages in Nokia X2-01 Inbox? Number of Message is more than 100 but I can see only 4 or 5 messages. I can delete those 4-5 messages but cannot see or delete any message from those 100 (or more).
Xoom tablet with Android 3.2.1 With the Xoom display horizontal, when you touch (click) some links in the browser the screen just goes dim and does nothing. If you then rotate the Xoom to cause it to display in the vertical mode you can then see the popup window and interact with it.Those popup windows are off the bottom of the screen when in horizontal display mode. Because the popup window has taken the focus away from the main page you cannot even scroll the page up to reveal the popup. It just seems like the Xoom browser has dimmed and frozen. An example link is if you do a Google search for a town, say Sheridan WY, and on the search results page touch (click) the result that shows a Google map of the town. The Xoom's browser will dim and nothing will happen. If you rotate the Xoom to vertical you ca then see the popup.
I got my Nokia C3-00 last month and this phone works great and awesome, but there's a problem on my home screen "waiting". I tried to restart and remove it's battery over again and still the "waiting" still on the home-screen. What should I do to remove the Waiting sign on the home-screen.
While repairing my C3-00, the provider reflashed the firmware. Now, the three "panels" on the right of the home screen read:[Waiting][Radio & My Music][Shortcut Bar]When I use "...Display Settings | Home Screen | Personalize View" I'm not able to change the first one. Can anyone tell me a) what it's "waiting" for and b) how I can change it to something more useful.I've spent a couple of hours online and reviewing the manual and nothing mentions the first "slot" being "special."
I have a prob with my one week old (!) 5800 phone. Its 8GB memory card became invisible (file browser says- E: NO MEMORY CARD INSERTED) while I was browsing internet (on the screen suddenly appeared 'it is advised to choose Remove memory card first in phone menu, and then remove it' or smth like that). Now no formatting capabilities in phone menu. I have tried another Memory Card 1GB, Nokia made, and it is invisible too. My old Nokia E51i file manager can read both cards. The phone is ONE WEEK from an authorised Nokia shop, no damages, no fall.
Not sure what I have done. I want to upload 29 gigs worth of music to my WIN PC, but file manager doesn't see all of the music. only 389+ mg. Check properties on 64gig Nexus through Explorer and it shows all the gigs, but not the existence of the music. The Nexus has no issues and plays everything, sees all music and no other files have been affected......I must have changed the properties on the phone that recognizes the music as music. Seems I remember something about photo files versus music and then I noticed the visual absence.......
My Galaxy S5 (T-Mobile) has "invisible/mystery" files that are using up almost 2 GB of my phone's storage capacity. According to the "details" from the 1 main folder - it has 2 GB of memory used within it. BUT, according to the "details" for the 2 inside folders - the ones contained WITHIN the main folder - the memory used ACTUALLY adds up to LESS THAN 1 MB, between the 2 of them! And, the "details" for EACH of the 2 inside folders, separately, also CONFIRMS the 1 MB TOTAL. How do I delete these "invisible" files? They're not only wasting a huge chunk of my phone's storage capacity, but they're also causing my phone to run slower and not operate properly - since it's nearing its internal storage capacity limit.
I am having some weird problem with Nokia E5. I got this phone with *supposedly* pre-installed skype ver 1.5(16) that I cannot find anywhere even in App Manager.
When I try to update to a later version it reports it will upgrade the existing version but the installation halts. "Unable to Install!"
How can I get rid of the existing *ghost* version is there anyway I can do that?
Here what I done since the begging of the problem: when I first use, everything was ok (at least to me). One day without remembering to disconnect the device from Windows XP Sp2, I disconnected the USB cable to aswer a call (it was in mass storage mode).
After that don't remember exactly how but a few minutes laters after reboot the n900 some widgets disappeared from desktop. So I added them one more time but they won't come to desktop... I repeated many times the adding and after that the N900 gone crazy. Some applications still works but others didn't show the icon program on the menu, only the name under the icon appear, and when i tried to execute one of them the screen returned to desktop with all the widgets that first didn't show and the device reboot alone.
So I decided to flash and I followed every single step (that I found in a thread wrote by adamf) to flash maemo on N900 and I did it. But when I try to erase mass memory, the dots on the N900 screen stopped move and in the DOS windows there was: "suitable USB device not found, waiting". The N900 seems freezed. After 30 minutes I disconnected the USB cable and turned ON the device and it is OK. Well, all data is still there. Do I need to reset mass memory to erase the programs downloaded from the application catalogues? Flashing maemo doesn't do that?
Tried two times but the same thing happens and I quitted. I started to use the device and it works fine but I can't install some applications that first I had installed, like bounce evolution, APP widget, facebook widget (impossible installing error). But forecast weather and other widgets works... I can't understand why. Tried also other flasher like Global (first I have intalled Middle East) but I have the same error...
I have this icon that wont go away dont know what it is for, just a app icon that says "Waiting" below it, never downloads anything. When I go to App Store > Purchased > all my apps are already installed so no clue what it is. It will go away briefly but then come back its very strange. I have tried turning off phone, hard resetting phone. Then even hold down to see if let delete it but when all the other icons wiggle this one doesn't have the x to delete.

I purchased an album on iTunes on my iPhone. The album downloaded on my MacBook Pro but the download is still waiting to download on my phone. Is there a way to restart or delete the download on my phone and start the download over?
