Jun 22, 2012I have a iPhone 4S, when I brought it after Christmas it connected to my 'Virgin Media wifi'instantly and game me the full 60 meg speed. As time has gone by, and multiple wifi routers replaced (thought it was initially the router) the iPhone is now struggling to connect and when it does its speed is less than using and EDGE conection. Of I reset the conection settings it works well again but after a week or so it will deteriorate back to how it was before he restart. I'm not sure if this is an ongoing problem with the hardware or if the software doesn't like virgin media as all other makes of phone and laptop will happily connect to my wifi with decent speeds.P.S. I have restarted the router multiple times

Jan 6, 2015I'm having issues with the camera function on the M8 in certain apps. For example, I cannot use the mobile apps for either my banks to deposit mobile checks because the camera will not focus on the check images and the pictures are too blurry to be accepted. I also have similar issues when using a couple of different shopping rebate apps (where you have to take pictures of bar codes and/or receipts).

Apr 16, 2012As an update, I got my phone to quite boot looping by wiping system, cache, and data. I then reinstalled 2.3.6 via computer. This has fixed everything except my wifi. I unistalled logcat and then found highlighted in red that my wifi drivers were not functioning correctly. This does annoy me but I can still use my phone!

I need an iPhone to use as a video monitor for my DJI Quadcopter (flying camera). The quadcopter company has an app that is installed on the phone to allow remote viewing of what the camera sees and allows you to control other functions using the iPhones WiFi capability. My question is: Can I use an iPhone without subscribing to a phone plan? I have no interest in using the phone as a phone, just to run the app for using the quadcopter.

Mar 14, 2012Just got new iPhones a couple of months ago. Up until now everything was great. Now when I put a call on speakerphone, the other party can't hear me at all. If I blow into the mic, they can hear that, but they can't hear me talk. I've cleaned the mesh with a soft, dry toothbrush as suggested, made sure that the volume didn't read "headset", turned the volume up, turned the phone off-on, made sure nothing else was blocking the mesh over the mic, etc.
The really weird thing is that I was able to record a "Voice Memo" which uses the same mic and the recording sounded just fine.
So, is it hardware or is it software? Doesn't seem to be hardware since I can record a "Voice Memo" with no problem and I can also communicate with Siri just fine. It seems that the problem only happens when using the phone speakerphone feature.

I have now unplugged the phone from the main to allow the battery to drain (or is this the right thing to do?) - will the phone reboot to normal after this?
