I'm finding that when I use the magnifying glass when writing a text (so as to move cursor back to edit) my phone freezes. The only way to unfreeze is to lock the screen and go back into messages. Sometimes the text I have written will disappear and I'll have to start the message again.Â
I have re-started the phone a few times but the problem still persists. This is a new issue and didn't start immediately after a software upgrade.Â
I just upgraded from iPhone 5 to iPhone 6. I restored all my settings. I have version 8.1.1 installed. When I am typing a text out, the phone is speaking it back to me. I do not want that turned on so I can text in silence. I am not referring to speaking and then having the phone relay what I am speaking into a text. How do I stop the phone from speaking what I am texting to someone?

My Torch runs slow most of the time especially when I am writing a text the words take at least 2 to 4 seconds to go on the screen. Also to change screen takes some time as well. Apps open slow as well. I have sufficient free internal memory not much apps just what I need to use, not much for games. What do you think may be going on with this unit. Also I try to connect to BB desktop to get updates if any and back up as frequent as possible, even battery pulls to get a clean restart.

I removed my memory card to upload some pics to my computer cause my usb port does not work anymore and since I didn't get around to doing this quickly, I've been using the phone without the memory card. It has been a week and not one instance of freezing up. I put my card in about 2 hours ago just to see if it was fixed and it just now froze again. This obviously is not a solution but it leads me to believe that probably an app or some misc thing on my card is causing this. There is plenty of memory left on the card by the way. Now if I could only find the right settings to install hotmail, rocketmail (yahoo), ovi and gmail mail boxes. I have the issue where the mail boxes never appear after setup.
View 2 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday night, every time I would try to open the activity log for my boyfriend, the phone will freeze. I took the battery out and turned the device off. Once back on, I noticed that some of my text messages were missing between us. Its only him, no other contact in my phone. Does anyone know why. When I do a search for it, I see all the text messages even the ones missing but every time I try to pull it up in messages, it doesn't show up and freezes. I've only had the device for a couple of days.

I tried to enlarge the font in settings, but this enlarges only the font for the date etc, not the font for the titles of the events.

When i go to Keyboard settings and "Use my writing style", under "My Words" there are none! And I've typed them many times. Tried "Learn from Gmail" and "Learn from Messaging" still none. Currently, the Z3 is reaching rock bottom because when I'm trying to unlock the Z3 the touch screen works bad and it's difficult to get in!!!!!

It is quite a nice phone, with good internal memory and a very descent camera.
However it could benefit from being more user friendly. It is particularly difficult to write messages using this phone.
This is the case because more screen area is dedicated to previous "message conversation", and the soft keyboard than the current message.
In fact the more messages that I send to and from friends the harder it gets to write a new message!

As can be seen in the picture there is very little room available for writing the message.
I would like to change my phones settings so that previous message "history" does not get displayed.
Unfortunately I have not been able to find a way to turn this feature off.
Any solution is desirable, I will even give "patches" a go if they offer a solution.
