Xseries :: Incorrect Time For Caracas Nokia X2-00?
Jun 1, 2011
I have an excellent X2-00. But the timesetting for Caracas in Venezuela is incorrect. The differenceto european summertime should be of 6 and a half hours. This is due to a change that the venezuelan authorities made about 2 years (2009) ago. How is it possible that the new (bought at the end of 2010) X2-00 still marks a time difference of full hours?
My son's Nokia X2-00 has a strange problem. If you unlock the phone or press red key in locked state, when the phone was in stand-by for some time, the clock is not correct - it shows the last hour:minute when the phone was used. After un-locking and some fiddling with the phone the clock becomes correct. The phone is not yet updated with 8.17 and is still with 4.90.
Bought a sim-free 920 from Phones 4 U and set the date and time correctly on setup, but have noticed on two occasions that the time and date were displayed incorrectly.
I have also noted that switching to "set automatically" does not alter the time and date correctly. When I first got the phone it was set to Automatic. After the first time I noticed the incorrect time/date, I set it manually, but for some strange reason, it happened again: the date and time were incorrect.
I have set it manually again, and waiting for the problem to re-occur...
I just got the E72 from a friend 2 days ago. However, I'm noticing that for incoming texts and calls, it shows that the time received is 4 hours behind from when I've actually received it. The time on my phone is set and the time on outgoing texts and call are fine but incoming texts and calls are inaccurate. Is there any way to fix this?I live in Vancouver BC, Canada and my friend got this phone for me in Hong Kong. Does that affect anything.
I am having a wifi connection after successfully getting the password correct and connecting to wifi, it just ended up on an error "security incorrect" ...
I jailbroke my iphone 4 and all is well.. its great actually, but I noticed earlier today the time was correct at 5:30 this afternoon but it displayed it as 5:30 AM. So I powered off the phone and when it rebooted it was correct. I just noticed again right now its midnight exactly, it displays 2:03 AM. When I check New York city on the world clock, it displays 2:03 AM.
My phone time and date is correct, yet the time and date of receiving text messages is incorrect. I've now received 2 texts from different people, both showing an incorrect date. The date above the text messages says Sun 4 Jun 2017. I have sent 2 different texts, the time shown on the sent ones is correct.
I recently tried doing an update to my phone - what a mistake. Finally I got it working but now the time zone list only shows 1 timezone, and it is not mine. How do I restore that list again, another software update>
Late last night my wife and I, who both have iPhone 5s, discover that our time and date were both way off. We toggled the auto update on and off a few times and eventually it reset. This morning it is incorrect again. We both turned the auto update off and set the calendar and time manually and it eventually went back to the incorrect time and date. This morning, June 28 at 0940 the date was July 9 at 0435.Â
I have a Nokia 5130C2 phone. I have some problem with the messages on it. I receive a meesage on the phone at 1.32pm and the message shows received at 1.50pm. I have tried to reset the phone and set the clock to GMT+5.30 but still no luck.
So today, my phone alarm wakes me up at the right time, but when I unlocked it to look at the time, it's behind by 1.5 hours. When I restart my phone, initially it displays the correct time again, but after a second it changes back- here's the kicker - it still thinks I'm in the right location (St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada)
Last night after midnight I had a text conversation with a phone number I didn't know. They messaged me out of the blue saying that they knew me, but all the responses were generic so I think it was some sort of a scam... even though they didn't ask for anything. The area code for the number came from Quebec, which is... 1.5 hours behind us here. Coincidence? Have I been hacked or something?
I have noticed that my calendar events aren't displaying correctly on my iPhone 4S. I'm not entirely sure how long it has been like this. I checked iCal on my Mac and the dates are correct there. I checked iCloud and it's correct there. I've checked my iPad and iPhone are both off by a day. Could this go all the way back to Daylight Savings time change?

I'm regularly seeing the incorrect time displayed when I wake the device to check the time. I completely understand not rendering an updated clock when the screen is disabled, but this needs to occur instantly when the display is awakened. Currently the lag can be around 10/15 seconds (I've not measured precisely, but I can wake the screen by shaking at least 3 times and let it blank again before an update).
In the past week, my D4 has been putting incorrect time stamps on incoming text messages when using certain non-stock text messaging apps. All received texts (regardless of sender) are stamped 4 hours earlier than when they were actually sent. Makes threaded messaging a real pain.
Stock text message app is fine, as is Handcent. The problem seems to be isolated to GO SMS Pro (my preferred SMS app) and ICS Messaging (stock ICS-like). I have uninstalled both and reinstalled with no change.
I just noticed something odd when pulling down my notification bar, it states that a voicemail I received yesterday was received on 12/31/69. The date and time are correct on the device everywhere else. I've pulled the battery and rebooted to the same thing. I guess it's not a huge issue, but just curious as to what causes this. For the record:
We had our Fall time change Saturday, and my HTC One M8 failed to adjust for daylight savings. Well, parts of it failed.
The small time display next to the battery meter is correct.
The large time display in the Sense 6 widget is one hour ahead. When the screen is locked, the time is displayed correctly, but when the phone is unlocked, the time is displayed one hour ahead. They're probably two separate widgets? Tap the Sense 6 widget, and the local time on the world clock page is also one hour ahead.
Any way to get the Sense 6 widget to display the correct time?
I've been using DM6 for the last week or so and am very disappointed. It does not seem to remember the last time that I synced or backed up. The only time it remembers is the first time I synced my BB with it. Not such a big issue for syncing, but I like my BB to backup weekly...so once a week has passed after the first sync, it wants to back up every time.
DM 5.0.1 worked flawlessly, but since I am using Outlook 2010, I can't go back.Come on RIM, you can do better than this.Any suggestions on how to get DM to remember when it actually backed up or synced?
Im experiencing problems with my smses the time shown on them is two hrs behind the normal time. Don know what to do anymore cos Ive tried more than 3 times to reset the time but nothing is happening.
almost technophobe pal Greg has an X3-02 and the keyboard can't lock. He's getting sick of all the newe anniversaries and stuff the phone writes in his poacket! Is this a firmware upgrade issue, or does he just have to live with it?His f/w version is 05.68, variant 255.01 of 10-12-10, the phone an RM-639.
i have a problem with the WiFi setting.Everytime i try to connect to my home's wifi, the phone says that the password is incorrect. The password is correct, but what can i do?
