Nov 2, 2011Is there any app that can do that except 5$ screenlocker? Or is there any options that can provide that?
I know there is on some other models of Nokia, so I'm just curious.

Jun 24, 2010I have updated my nokia n97 a month ago to version 32.001. Before that I did not perform the upgrade for about a year.Since this last upgrade I have a problem with clock not being updated when the keyboard is locked. This only happens when the keyboard is locked automatically (because of the inactivity). If I lock it manually then the clock is normally updated.This is so frustrating that I will change the phone for sure if it's not solved very quickly with a new software update. The clock is one of the core features of the mobile phone and such a bug can get you in troubles very quickly.

If you unlock the phone or press red key in locked state, when the phone was in stand-by for some time, the clock is not correct - it shows the last hour:minute when the phone was used. After un-locking and some fiddling with the phone the clock becomes correct. The phone is not yet updated with 8.17 and is still with 4.90.

Oct 30, 2012There are + and - buttons on the right side of Nokia X2-02 which you can use for adjusting the volume. Using these buttons you can adjust every application, accept the alarm clock. There isn't also an extra option in the advanced menu of Alarm clock for volume adjusting. While ringing the alarm cannot be adjust using the + and - buttons because when you press them, the alarm just snoozes. The + and - buttons while you are in the alarm menu don't adjust the volume too. But when you set the radio as alarm clock then it works - the volume is so loud as the phone ringing settings. There is also no extra option in the Settings menu for the alarm clock.

Jun 22, 2011Exactly what it says, the clock dissapears from the home screen, apparently, randomly.Unlocked, brand new (with 2 or 3 weeks of use), X6 16 GB with the latest firmware v32.0.002 in Portugal, using a Vodafone SIM. Don't know if it happened also on the previous firmware because, as i sayd it, the fone is new and i also noticed that just a few days ago after updating the firmware.

Mar 15, 2010I'm about to loose hope on my Nokia 5230. The first was the battery problem. It was empty in a day and a half on very moderate use (swiched off during the night). When I recalibrated the battery the things got better but still far away from the specs on Nokia site. And yes; I have tried all the tricks to save the energy (GSM only, 30% screen brightness, no bluetooth,....).
The second I discovered, that the GPS is basicly useless. It wont lock on the sattelites no matter what.The GPS was one of the main reasons to buy 5230. If someone got lucky to find some sattelites - how good is the accuracy? Is in the range of 6 meters or less as with Garmin?
Now I have discovered, that the clock is not showing the right time. It is loosing minutes as someone said to it that one hour has only 59 or 58 minutes. I still have to discover the logic how the clock is counting minutes. I have tried with and without automatic time update. By the way; the phone has the last firmware.
So if the clock is useless then the alarm is useless and I can't use it on my buisness trips.
Is there anyone else with the same problems? Is there any solution to this clock problem? Some settings I've missed?
Someone would say; for the price everything can not be perfect.
So, is this the logic (Nokia logic):
-we will put in the GPS, but because of a low price it won't find some sattelites
-we will put the battery in the phone but because of the low price it won't last more than two days
-the phone will have the clock but because of the low price it will not show the right time
Xseries :: Nokia X6 Keyguard Broken Off - Now Screen Permanently Locked
Sep 24, 2010I have had an X6 for about a month now, and the slider keyguard on the phone had broken off. The phone is now in a permanent state of saying 'use keyguard to unlock keys and screen'. Obviously I cant because it doesn't work!!
I have tried leaving it switched off for 15 mins, and restating it. This lets me restart the time and date but then locks once the phone opens up. I have tried a drawing pin and paper clip to slide the keyguard without the keyguard but to no avail.
Cseries :: Nokia C5 Clock Showing Wrong Time (15 To 30 Minutes Forward)
Oct 6, 2011I've been using my Nokia C5-00 for about a year now without any problems. Recently however, it started to show wrong time (like it was going too fast). The offset is usually about 15-30 minutes forward. Initially I thought that its just few seconds per minute faster than it should be (like a normal mechanism watch) and I tried to explain it with processor clock being somehow off, but I noticed that it must at one point just skip these several minutes.
I've never spotted this "skipping" explicitly but it happens once per 10-15 hours, I guess. E.g. it shows proper time the whole day and when I go to sleep but next morning its off several minutes. It happens both with automatic time update On and Off. I haven't updated my software for a couple of months now, but the one I got is up to date (according to Ovi).
BB Curve :: Locked Screen Not Showing
Jul 22, 2011I just got my Curve 9300. This device has an OS that is new to me, I used to have a Pearl about a year ago. I've set up my personal information to show on the lock screen so that if I ever lose my phone someone who find's it can contact me. However, when I lock the screen, it dims down / shuts off and when I press any button, I get a message saying "Keypad is locked. press the Mute...". If I don't unlock it, the screen shuts off / dims down again. So basically, I never get to see the lock screen message I've set up, it's always hidden. I didn't have this problem with my old Pearl.

Jun 24, 2012I brought my wife an IPhone 4S yesterday and checked with the sales guy in 02 that I can run two accounts off the same laptop as I have an IPhone as well, which he said would be fine.
However the new IPhone required an updated version, which I downloaded and then the new IPhone locked up with the ITunes Logo and the USB Cable showing. Have tried restoring but it keeps saying it needs to download the newest version iOS 5.1.1 which takes over an hour to download, but I already have the newest version dowloaded.

The owner information and the blue screen shows quickly up when the device is booted but not when it is locked. Does anybody know how to get the owner info back showing up on a locked screen or has an idea for a workaround?
