I got an issue with connecting to the internet using my xperia on my network wifi.I can connect using my pc but cannot connect using my xperia. On my xperia the phone connects to the wifi network but the webpages do not appear. On my laptop I can access most webpages like google and facebook. The wifi network requires a wep key.
View 3 RepliesI've noticed that ever since I updated my xperia play to the latest 2.3.4 update, the default browser struggles to load any web pages that begin with https, so I am unable to log in to a lot of web sites e.g. hotmail and google mail. The xperia play's email app gets my emails fine though so it seems to be something to do with the default browser? I've used a third party browser (Dolphin) and https web sites work fine through it.

The only fix is a battery pull, but it used to only repair it for about a week, and the issue has gotten worse and worse over time, to the point where I need to reboot every day.

At the top is says, for example, www.mfacebook.com t starts to search it and load it but once the bar is full it does nothing and the screen is blank. I checked out connections and there is a green checkmark to the left of WiFi but then in the box it just has a white line. Is there something wrong with the phone? I took out the battery and it still doesn't work. how do I make sure everything on my phone is updated? Everytime I ever plug it in to the PC, it ALWAYS says "there are no updates" which seems odd? Whenever I type my password in to access a site, eg: facebook or hotmail, and press 'sign in' the web page automatically closes and returns me to the normal phone display. I then click on the internet symbol to get back onto it, it reconnects to the internet and back to my home page. i have tried turning it on and off, and removed the battery. i had not knowingly done anything to alter the settings on my phone, and have just updated the software in hope that that would resolve the issue.

Now a 30+ times a day pages load very slow or get stuck and I have to go to settings and turn off data then turn back on or turn phone off and back on. I've replaced my phone twice and sim card twice and its still doing it. I have unlimited data through T Mobile so that shouldn't be the problem.

Ive got a Motorola Atrix on T-Mobile UK. When using webtop and the firefox browser I sometimes get directed to the mobile site rather than the full web site of certain pages like Facebook and Twitter. I'm guessing this is not supposed to happen. Is there a way to change the User Agent so it loads up full webpages?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Xoom has always had some issues picking up the wifi signal in my house (probably due to the old lathe and plaster walls), so I installed a Hawking HWREN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Range Extender to give me better range.
This has worked marvelously... until my husband's Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 plus entered the picture. Now, whenever he gets online with his G-tab, my Xoom will lose connection. Perhaps, not lose connection per se... if I stand in the room where the router (or range extender) is located, web pages will load. However, if I am anywhere near his G-tab, pages will time out and not load.
I am not educated enough to know if this is a RFI issue, or something I can configure differently so we can both be connected simultaneously. It is almost as if his tab is hogging all of the bandwidth...
An earlier post implied that 3.1 has a setting for uastring, and that about:debug is no longer needed.
I haven't been able to locate any uastring settings in browser settings or system configuration.
uastring still works, but has to be reapplied if the browser is closed, same as 3.0.1. A post elsewhere had indicated that the settings would persist until reboot.
I've noticed the web pages blink black for a second after loading.At first i thought it was just with bookmarked pages, but I've now noticed it's with all pages. i even tried a hard reset (holding down the volume buttons).i started a previous thread on this topic, but wanted to start another as it indeed seems to be another bug with my bionic.
