My Xperia Ray does not turn the screen, I have to repeatedly pressthe power button to turn on again, and occasionally remove the battery and leave it for a while then the screen can be turned onagain

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Xperia X10 mini and it was working fine up until an hour ago. I went to listen to some music and no sound came on, went to see if there was any sound when trying to call anyone and there wasn't. it wouldnt turn off so I removed the sim card and memory card, put them back in and now pretty much all of the screen is black, (the only bit that isn't is the strip at the top where the time is displayed), the phone also now wont do anything, wont turn off wont even lock.I have just downloaded the sony pc companion to try and see if an update would fix it, but it wont connect to the phone. Asks me to tap the "USB connect" but as the phone wont do anything I can't so it won't connect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently got a symbol in the top left hand side of my screen. Since i got it i have lost the ability to text using the touch screen , also i have lost the smiley face applicaion.
The main screen sometimes flickers too. The symbol is like a wedge with a rectangle shape sat on top with a red circle beside it.
I've bought a new xperia mini pro(sk17i) 5 days ago. since the 2nd day, i'm encountering an unbearable problem with the touch. when i listen to music for about 10 mins most of the screen doesn't work. same problem rises sometimes when i go to unlock the phone drawing patterns. when i keep the phone idle for some moments to cool down evrything goes ok. BUT the same matter happens frequently. what should i do in this regard?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWishing I hadn't bothered with the lollipop update as this has really diminished my phones usage.
I had been able to use the "ok google" voice command to make phone calls, change music etc while using my bluetooth headset connected to my motorbike helmet whilst my phone was in my pocket with the screen off & locked.
Since updating to lollipop I cannot get this to work on the Z3 & I am really disappointed with this.
Reading feature articles regarding loliypop this should work from the lockscreen but it doesn't & I now really wish I hadn't bothered with this gaudy update, for me lollipop is a huge backwards step - not liking it at all.
The autoturn option is not working anymore. I've tested the gyroscope, accelerator and they are just fine yet the autoturn is not available for usage. I've also rebooted my phone turned on in safe mode and nothing seems to work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Xperia Z2 for about a month, three days ago the camera wouldn't start. When I open the app the screen is black. It's also the same if I try to start the camera using Instagram or Snapchat. I've tried to restart the unit and cacheclan phone to see if storage was the problem. I`ve also tried to connect to the "update service" but when I hold the "volume down button" and connect the usb I get a message that the program can't find the unit. Starting to be a bit frustrated. I'ts just problem with the front/main camera, not the small one.

I tried installing the PC Companion to check for updates and altho it shows on the PC, it didn't register on the phone. View 9 Replies View RelatedScreen unlock pattern failed 20 times, phone is now locked pending google username and password, which I have enter hundreds of times with no success, I know the username and password is correct as I can log in via PC and view latest downloads on my phone etc.
Have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, everytime the download begins an error message comes up "unable to start update"
Have been to the optus shop and contacted sony over the phone, being told by optus that my phone is 7 days over its warranty and it will cost me to unlock, Sony helpdesk advised that it was "Easy" to fix and i just needed to repair the phone via PC companion, which clearly is not as easy as stated. I am left without a phone which is badly affecting my work, I have been told it will take at least 2 weeks for the phone to be unlocked if it is done by the provider, google password is not working.
Just bought an Xperia Z3+,its been 4 days from now and since i did all updates,my proximity sensor doesnt work and screen stays always off during call and i cant bring it back.And i cant even end or close the call if the other part doesnt end the call.Sometimes it work and sometimes not.I dont use any cover or protection.I also did repair with Sony PC Companion,but still nothing.

View 1 Replies View Related1) the screen doesn't lock anymore; i mean the slide to unlock thing doesn't appear : when i lock the phone the screen just goes black but when it's in my pocket it unlocks itself and start messing around like calling by itself!
2)the central button now only lights the screen; it doesn't go back to the main screen anymore! i have to use the button <-- (back) as many times as i entered in a folder to go back to the main screen..
3)the phone doesn't ring anymore! i can listen to music or whatever but it will just vibrate when someone calls me! also when I try to change the sound level with the side buttons, even if i go max, it will say :Ringer Volume silent ringtone selected
4)the camera crashes as soon as i open it, it's just black as if something was blokcing the camera.. the only option reamaing is to turn off the phone and then reboot!
5)by the way when I press the shut off button usually you have 3 choices : *plane mode *power off *xxxx (i just can't rember what it was)well now i only have one option: power off!
6)Oh btw it has already happened to me a few days ago; after much searching in the internet with no answers i simply did the 'factory data reset' thing and it worked!
I updated my x10 mini pro a few days ago to android 2.1 The problem is that after the update the menu, home and back keys don't work after screen timeout so I have to press the key on the top of the phone to activate the screen and then unlock it.The point is why the hardware keys on the front don't work after screen timeout? Pressing the key on the top and then unlocking the phone can be really annoying...

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
I'm a 1st time owner of a brand new 5800, this is my first experience with a touch screen phone and I was wondering since the screen is plastic and I absolutely hate scratches on my phones anywhere but especially on my screen, is there a way to put a screen protector on the screenof the phone and have the touch screen still work, will it be less sensitive or will it work at all?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my phone, whenever i try to click on on of the two icons at the bottom of my screen ( Home screen/NOT MENU). It does not work, so i can not enter a new number or call someone, with out changing the home screen option. Can you tell me what the matter is.
I can still use my phone and call but the home screen, setting at the moment i really do not like. I know this may not be properly clear to understand, if you need more info just send me a message.
I have tried every thing to make this darn screen work. I have pulled the battery and that works for maybe two days. I have tried back up the phone and that works for maybe two days then nothing. Is there a more permanent fix available? This is a relatively new phone (bought in april last year)
