just bought a xperia ray today and it seems to connect to my network and then straight away it disconnects again - i'm not really sure what the problem is. i have rebooted my router and rebooted my phone both to no avail.i think its werid because its finding the network just not actually connecting.
View 2 RepliesI have Volvo V40 and when I step in my car with my bluetooth enabled already, I see on my Z3 Bluetooth connect sand then disconnect. This repeats all the time. When I then disable bluetooth, wait a while and enable bluetooth again, the problem is gone. I don't know for sure, but what I have see on my car's phone menu, although I get these disconnects on my phone , the disconnects are not noticed by my car. But again, I didn't look into that yet.

I charge my iPhone on my laptop so all my data backs up and its more practical for me as I use the laptop whilst it charges. Lately it connects and disconnects immediately ! It has this "fit" of connecting and disconnecting my phone just goes mad! Works fine when plugged in a wall socket. iTunes is up to date, iOS up to date,it is the only USB plugged it in my laptop and my laptop is a new laptop ! I have tried switching my phone on and off but it does nothing...

Just to be more specific, the phones charges, but if I want to use it as media device, I'm told you have to unlock it, fine, but when I finally get to see my storage on my PC screen, after a couple seconds it disconnects, meaning I don't see it anymore, anywhere on my PC, but phone still charges.
Couple of seconds afterwards, back up again..as you imagine, backing up photos/videos is impossible, I don't have the time to transfer huge amount of data before I'm prompt with a message telling me it has been cancelling due to not finding the file anymore..
I have three problems with my W995a:1) When I'm texting, the backlight keeps changing how bright it is, when I'm texting it will sometimes go quite dark then other times quite bright (not a major issue)2) When I was calling someone, the phone just turned off and I lost the call, I rung the person back, then shortly after connecting the call, they couldn't hear me so I hung up and rang again. Shortly after ringing again, the phone turned off again.3) And finally - my biggest problem right now, is that I just bought a USB cord to connect it to my computer, yet when I do, it keeps on disconnecting from my computer then reconnecting (even though it's plugged in). This makes it impossible to do anything with it.

Since I moved to android 2.1 I've not been able to connect to the wifi at my work, even though it worked just fine on 1.6.(old forum posts I've found ages ago suggested that a similar issue occurred on android 1.6 but there was some kind of patch that fixed it. My Wifi is secured and before I give the password, it says the signal strength is Excellent. After that, it says Signal strength is Poor and tries to keep connecting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought an Xperia Ray last Saturday because my HTC Salsa was struggling to connect and stay connected to my home wifi and also had internal memory problems (not enough internal memory)..Now I'm having different wifi problems with the Ray.It connects but the connection is very slow although nothing else is accessing the wifi and when my husband connects with his Samsung Galaxy it is fine and very fast. Every time the screen light goes out (set to every 10 mins at the moment) it seems to drop the wifi connection and when I "wake " it again it has just the mobile connection but starts to connect again straight away, unfortunately this is not fast.

I've got Smart Network Switch and Download Booster (switch to mobile data if wifi is no good; use wifi + LTE) both switched off, so they shouldn't be a factor..
I even switched them back on and then off just to be sure that they were in fact off.After a painful day spent trying to transfer data to the new phone, and installing all of my usual apps - having to disable and renable wifi at least 50 times throughout the day - I decided to switch from using my 5GHz wifi to 2.4GHz (same router), and it now seems fine. Switching back to 5, and I end up back with the same result - wifi will work fine for a while before stopping.
My Galaxy S5 has no issue using the 5GHz (and neither do any other devices I have), so it doesn't appear to be the router (Asus RT-AC87U) at fault unless there's just some compatibility issue with the S6.

I tried that one but it only applies to 3rd party routers, i have airport extreme 4th generation as my base station, and airport express 1st generation as wired extender.
All my other devices are fine, wife's iPhone 3G, both iPad 23G and wifi. Only my iPhone 4s All firmwares are up to date on all appale devices that i have.
