When I turn my N86 RM-485 v21.006 on I get a message stating there is an important update,, update now? When I select Yes, I get o the update screen and it shows the Ovi Maps with free navigation update. I select download and then update. It downloads fine, but the install fails. I've turned the phone off several times with no success.

Maps 3.03 for the N97 is going to be available from the 28th Jan 2010 via the IAD (also known as Software Update). Users of the N97 are advised to update their firmware after release, which will then make the Ovi Maps 3.03 application available for download. Although I work for Nokia, my opinions are my own! Got a Maps query? Check our Maps FAQs?

Obviously there are not too many still using the Nokia E72 around here. But of those having updated to firmware version 91.003 how much free mem there is after startup, i.e. with PhoNetInfo or a similar application? With 73.001 I have about 40 to 41MB with unused apps deinstalled or turned off.

I'm running the latest .587 ICS update on my phone. Since the update, I'm unable to install any further applications on the phone due to "insufficient memory". This would be fine if the Storage showed the Phone memory to be full, but it indicates there is 'free' memory (51MB free apparently). I have also installed App2SD to move all possible apps to the SD card (2GB, 504MB Available).
Details: phone memory 420MB; Apps 327MB, "Available" 50.96MB
Why am I getting the 'insufficient memory alert" if there is Available memory? (Also, the size of the app I want to install is 5mb).

Just updated from Ovi Maps 3.03 to 3.04 and my E55 device memory went down by 10Mb. Why is this? It's an update! The size of the installers differs by only 500kb.Every time I update the maps app, my device memory just shrinks away until I have to reset the phone to reclaim the memory.Do the updates actually replace the old files or just add bloat? Also had to re-download and re-install all maps and voice guidence (to SD memory) after the upgrade.

I was browsing the market for free e-books, and when I clicked on one of the apps, the phone just turned off. now I can't even turn it on. The SD card and SIM card is fine the phone just won't turn on. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. When I try to plug it into the computer, it says that the usb port is malfunctioned.

Why can't the BB OS use some of the removable memory card space to free up the internal memory. To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.

I bought a lifetime license to be able to download maps to my phone. Before I hade version 3.0 and there you could download maps for free. But after I upgraded to version 4.0 I bought the license. There is only a small problem now, there is no menu now to select "My Maps" and download. Tried to contact support but they don't seem to understand the problem. They keep telling my to navigate to the download menu.

received warning that I am running out of memory on my X10 Mini Pro. At the same time I could no longer receive sms messages, just send.
Cleared memory card files, sms' and updated to:
- Android 2.1.1.A.0.6
- 11 MB available phone memory
- 1 GB available memory card storage
Warning on out-of-memory remains, still can't receive text messages. What to do? Is 11 MB phone memory too low? Then, how to clear?

I've been having problems with my phone recently, it doesn't recieve some text messages or show my missed calls. A friend suggested that it may just need updating, which made sense because I'd been getting update notifications, just hadn't got round to hooking my ohone up to my laptop. So I did just that and installed the 'companion' but when I try to update, it's asking me to insert a memory card. I've never taken it out! Not once. So i've turned the phone off and on again, as you do.

Looking at my Installed Applications on my 5800XM I realised that there are the following two entries:
Nokia Maps 9MB
Ovi Maps 7MB
Are they supposed to be both there? Shouldn't the Nokia Maps application have been overwritten when updated to Ovi Maps? Can I manually remove the Nokia Maps application to free these 9MB of C: memory?

On my Xperia Mini Pro I had some large mp3 files which I deleted to make room for lots of photo's and videos, this worked fine. Once the space was filled, the files were synchronised with Dropbox and I deleted them to create new space however the memory amount is still low at 40MB and telling me that the memory is full?

Since last 4-5 days, I am seeing that whenever I connect my phone to my laptop (using usb), the phone restart and during this time I will have access to memory card for few seconds (30 sec), after that the card gets unmounted (from PC) and I will see a warning symbol (yellow triangle) on phone's notification bar. So I am unable to copy data to and from my phone. All this trouble started since I upgraded to 2.1 Note: I have checked the memory card by putting it to another phone and it works fine.
