Xperia Mini/pro :: Unable To Pull down Notification Bar
Oct 15, 2012
Since last night I experienced a strange issue. I am unable to pull down the notification bar when the phone is vertical only when the phone horizontal am I able to successfully pull the drop down notification bar down. Has anyone else experienced this issue and am I simply missing a setting somewhere or do I need to repair the hardware?? I have been using this Xperia mini pro (SK17i) for last 10 months. I still don't get ICS (Android 4). It is still 2.3.4.
I bought my xperia z3 dual 1 month ago and it was working good. But yesterday I put my phone on charging, after removing from charging a part of its touch screen from top is not working and I'm unable to pull down notification window. I tried every thing like rebooting factory restore etc but stil the problem is not resolved.
Before upgrade firmware 5.1.1 via Sony PC Companion and again via OTA ,the notification bar cannot pull down. I have tried factory reset ,but it 's same problem.
It started a couple weeks ago my notification bar at the top of my screen won't pull down no more . Done a test on my touchscreen and it only works up to my notification bar.
so on my iphone 5 at the bottoms of the screen I can usually pull up a thing I think is called the task center and at the top when you pull it down I think it's called the notification center . I'm dot sure what I did but I accidently pushed something and I don't know what it was but I can't pull those things up anymore.
The function just die on me on some point of time without installing or uninstalling any software. Now the notification bar is all gone no matter where i pull down from the top. Any thoughts on that?
I've been having problems with my touch screen. It will have lots of times when it doesn't register touch, like when I'm typing, scrolling, or when trying to pull down the quick settings/notification bar, it takes several tries. Also, when I set the phone flat it won't hardly register any touch at all.
I have tried the following to try and resolve it:
- complete factory reset - changed launchers and keyboards - making sure screen is clean/fingers aren't cold etc - changing the long press settings for the phone
I have a Xperia X10 Mini pro and suddenly my notification led turned always on, even when the cellphone is off the led is on and i can't turn it off. I have tried restarting it, removing the battery, restarting the system with the PC Companion and nothing works.
whenever I sent text message I would get a notifaction ie balance and ringtone that was until last night now it doesnt say that text has been sent I have only had the phone a week or so
So when I first got the phone, I managed to change my Notification tone from one thing to another. Now I just added a new tone that I downloaded, and I put it onto my phone. I set that new one as my CURRENT tone, but when people txt me, the tone is STILL the same as the one I set before... Even when I try a different ringtone that was on my phone, it still doesn't work...
Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i); I upgrade to ICS (4.0.4), Build Number: 4.1.B.0.431. After that Notification LED is not working for MISSED call, SMS Alert etc. when screen is OFF. However, it is working for Charging and E-mail (using K9). Checked in Service Menu and all the LED are working fine.
All the LEDs were working when using Gingerbread (2.3). Only after upgrading to ICS it is not working. Is this an issue with ICS?
I am using sk17i for two months and upgraded to ics the very next day I got my phone. The problem started a couple of weeks back, sometimes I can't pull out my notification bar while in portrait mode. Now it got even worse, for the last few days I can't pull it out in protrait mode, I always have to change to landscape mode to check notifications.
I don't want other people to read my SMS when they holding my Xperia X10 Mini Pro in their hand.Is there any way I can disable SMS notification on the Status bar?
I have an Sk17a and I just update my phone to ICS 4.0.4, now i'm seeing that the led of notification doesn't work when the screen is off and I receive a message or anything
I am having trouble with bluetooth, having followed the intructions from your site, i keep getting the same msg, paired but unable to connect. what am i doing wrong?
locate where I can urn off the notification sound when i send a text message. It is incredibly annoying. I only seem to be able to change the notification of received and sent messages at same time and I do not want this to be on silent as I would like to know when i get a message. I recently upraged to andrid 2.1.
i can't access the notification bar in the lock screen ,as it is instructed in the video (the one on the ics sonyericsson page) ,i can only pause and play songs in the lock screen ,is it because i am using the face unlock feature?
I'm Indonesian and bought my xperia mini pro 2011 in december 2011 -unlocked- in official distributor store in Indonesia. I use telkomsel as the telco provideri update around December 2011 (?) to 4.0.2.A.0.58.In February this year or close to that, there is a permanent notification to update the FW to x.x.062. because i don't have time yet, I just let it stay that way. end february I went to US and will stay here in US until next april.for cost reason in US I used AT&T.after using AT&T for awhile, i just realized that the update notification is gone, i try to check trough setting> about phone> software update.and it say my phone is up to date. my guess is the x.x.062 is not yet approved by AT&T or something like that.my question is this: "will the notification update show up again when I'm back in Indonesia and switch the SIM card to my previous telco provider; Telkomsel?i'm only interested to update the phone back in Indonesia, just to make sure i'm not messing with anything.
i really love new 4.0 update.. It's clen. But there is a problem ..Does anyone know how to put the led notification in work when we receive a message ? I think that's something important because we have allways to unlock the phone to see if we get something.
1) I want to change the proximity sensor settings i.e. turn off or on. apart from the secret menu is there is a way to do in x10 mini. I am using droid 2.1
2) When one receives an sms an envelope icon appears in the notification bar. how do we disable that feature.
x10 mini on o2 pay as you go. Model number: E10i Firmware version: 2.1-Update1 Build number 2.0.A.0.504
The Notification menu which comes down from the top keeps coming down all the time. When I am texting, viewing pictures, browsing my phonebook etc., and it stops me from using the phone how I want to use the phone. no matter where i touch on the screen it pops up. I have done the following with no avail:
I have upgraded the firmware. (this problem happened before and still continues after upgrade)I have turned the phone on and off countless times.I have locked the phone and unlocked it numerous times hoping it will go away...it doesn't. The phone has not been dropped or damaged in anyway - it is only 2 months old.
I have noticed that LED notification for SMS, email, and... is only working when the phone is in sleep mode, its not functioning when the display is on. It is to say I'm in android 2.1, and had no problems in 1.6.
I have a sony xperia mini pro running on android 4.04 and I am not able to drag down the notification area when I am holding the mobile in portrait mode. If I shift to landscape mode (by sliding the qwerty keyboard out), then when I press at the top status bar, I can drag the notification area down. I already tried reformatting my phone and update but still the same.
I recently purchased Xperia X10 mini pro handset, however I am facing with one problem. I am not able to drag down the notification area when I am holding the mobile in portrait mode. If I shift to landscape mode (by sliding the qwerty keyboard out), then when I press at the top status bar, I can drag the notification area down.
My SI No. is listed in the site and I got the update notification also. But when I try to update using PC Companion, am getting the below error message.
