So when I first got the phone, I managed to change my Notification tone from one thing to another. Now I just added a new tone that I downloaded, and I put it onto my phone. I set that new one as my CURRENT tone, but when people txt me, the tone is STILL the same as the one I set before... Even when I try a different ringtone that was on my phone, it still doesn't work...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI noticed with the update to 4.4.3 when you change the default notification tone to none, hangout's notification then defaults to hangouts notification rather than no notification. I'm not sure if this effects all apps. On 4.4.2 it would just be silent. I had to add a silence notification to my sdcard internal memory to have a silent notification.

Because signal where I am varies dramtically from 4G to 3G etc so just changing rooms in my house will get me this notification.
Driving to work will get me several notifcations so its extremely frustrating, especially when it cuts in to songs etc that I'm listening too as I use the phone while running, it's also my main source of music in the van.Â
I have tried to change my notification ringtone on my Sony Ericsson x8 for the 1st time. I have done everything correctly & the settings show that the new ringtone has been saved, however the old ringtone sounds when a text or other notification is received. I keep checking the settings & it shows the newly saved one, but obviously this does come through as that one ....NB I have successfully changed my Phone ringtone, the problem only lies with the Notification one.

But most of all that makes me mad is that the upgrade changed my notification sounds I had customized. not only that now I can not select my favorite sounds for specific notification. can only get sounds and ringtones that are on Lollipop by default.

View 6 Replies View RelatedXperia Mini Pro (SK17i); I upgrade to ICS (4.0.4), Build Number: 4.1.B.0.431. After that Notification LED is not working for MISSED call, SMS Alert etc. when screen is OFF. However, it is working for Charging and E-mail (using K9). Checked in Service Menu and all the LED are working fine.
All the LEDs were working when using Gingerbread (2.3). Only after upgrading to ICS it is not working. Is this an issue with ICS?
Since last night I experienced a strange issue. I am unable to pull down the notification bar when the phone is vertical only when the phone horizontal am I able to successfully pull the drop down notification bar down. Has anyone else experienced this issue and am I simply missing a setting somewhere or do I need to repair the hardware?? I have been using this Xperia mini pro (SK17i) for last 10 months. I still don't get ICS (Android 4). It is still 2.3.4.

The problem started a couple of weeks back, sometimes I can't pull out my notification bar while in portrait mode. Now it got even worse, for the last few days I can't pull it out in protrait mode, I always have to change to landscape mode to check notifications.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI haven't found any way to change notification settings (silent/priority/sound) in Xperia Z2 when listening music or if music app is running after listening music. I have tried with different music apps (Walkman, Google Music, Spotify) and problem is present with all music apps. This problem came with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) upgrade. If I want to change notifications, I have to stop the music and close the music app. With KitKat I could just press the power button longer and get the notification settings, but not anymore with Android 5.0.
