View 10 Replies View RelatedI really love openness of Android and I always prefer root access on my Nexus devices. But I have read at a few places that, if we root our nexus 6p, fingerprint scanners might not work. Is it true? Will there be a possible solution to make fingerprint sensor work even after rooting in future?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a Huawei Mate 7 and it had the option to protect individual apps via fingerprint. Is there any way to lock app with fingerprints on the nexus 6p. Like a app in google play. I know there are some aps for galaxy devices but I haven't seen anything that will work on the nexus?
View 10 Replies View RelatedThe 2 things for me is the fingerprint scanner takes just a bit longer to where the extra delay is noticeable, and my battery is draining a lot quicker than before.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy finger print scanner seems to only work about 10% of the time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAny way to pass specific fingerprint events into a tasker profile? For example a variable that can be read as representing finger 1 or 2?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible on the Nexus 6p to use the finger print scanner to unlock apps with the finger print scanner on the phone without using it to lock the phone and having to setup the PIN lock?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe N6P has got the same fingerprint sensor than the mate s. Is it possible to get the scrolling feature with the fingerprint sensor as a touchpad for photos and browser ... working? This would be very usefull especially when reading long text.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy previous phone was the Galaxy S6 and it allowed me to use my fingerprint to sign in to apps.
My nexus 6p doesn't. Is there a setting I need to enable to get this feature?
Is there an app I can use to lock other apps with my fingerprint.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to assign a finger print to open an app? Is there a mod for this or is it in marshmallow somewhere? I want to have various fingerprints unlock into different apps. Or while my phone is unlocked using my middle finger to open Google. My ring finger to open camera, etc..
View 1 Replies View RelatedAgain, I had an S5 and I can easily remove and add toggles. But can't find it on the 6P. I want to add NFC toggle. I'd rather not get an app. I do have "system UI tuner" activated and in there is something looks like a customization menu but I can't get it to actually work.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI haven't received mine yet, but probably one of the first things to do is unlock the bootloader. Does the fingerprint verification/ unlock still works with an unlocked bootloader.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAny way could turn off vibration with fingerprint unlock?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm enjoying using it to turn the screen on with a verified fingerprint, but find myself at times thinking that long pressing it will also turn it off. Seems like a neat feature, but before I think too much of it, is it something that can be done?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith root/unlocking, the finger print sensor will be somehow disabled?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt sounds like a thump when you turn on a stereo and the speakers pop each time i unlock with the finger print reader.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs the fingerprint scanner required to unlock the v 10,or can it be turned off?
View 2 Replies View Relatedin the last few days my fingerprint scanner has started to be quite picky. I've set it up with 5 different prints so I can unlock with either hand but recently it's not recognising any of my fingerprints. Today it;s working maybe one in every thirty attempts. I've removed fingerprints from the memory, when trying to re-add them it tells me to wipe the sensor/finger but both are clean.
View 9 Replies View RelatedA few months back I flashed xtrestolite to my g920i and have since flashed odex, deodex and several aroma versions in different combinations. Since the initial flash the scanner has not worked. Currently using the latest unikernal, though was using a different one when I first flashed. TWRP latest too.
When I try *#0* and try the sensor test I see "unfortunately, hwmoduletest has stopped working" lTrying to utilise the scanner will always show "an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor, if this message appears repeatedly please restart your device" though restarting has never worked. I have not tried going back to stock as my carrier rom is 5.0.2 still.
Ever since i got my T Mobile Galaxy S6 Delivered a couple of days ago, the finger print scanner does not work. It keep displaying the message :
"Make sure that the home key is clean and dry, then try again"
Here is a video of the problem: [URL] ...
I bought the phone on Swappa, and the seller claims it never got wet.
Having problems with the screen turning off too quickly before use your fingerprint to open the phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 5s running IOS 8.1.1 and my finger print scanner has never worked the way that it should. First off instructions on this post say go to settings/general/touch id & password. When in fact my phone is Settings/touch id & password. I can delete my fingerprints and reinstall them and they work fine for a few hours. than they wont work. It is very upsetting that I spent more money for the 5s because I wanted the fingerprint scanner. I could have saved money by buying the 5c. I have gone to the Apple store on at least 5 different occasions, and they have even exchanged my phone. This is my first Apple and I feel like I have been ripped off.Â
Info:
iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.1
A few days ago I bought a new Xperia Z5 Premium from a local reseller, and it works just fine, most of the time.Yesterday I noticed that the fingerprint scanner works pretty bad most of the time, and sometimes it chooses to not work at all.It just refuses to recognise my fingerprint, and I've deleted and registered it over and over again.I've now added three registered prints of my thumb, and it still is extremely wonky. (The sensor, and my thumb, are both clean and unharmed).I just searched the forum, and lots of people seem to have the same issue from a few months back.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy fingerprint scanner is not working. I did a factory reset and cleared cache. I also got my home button changed for a new one (i thought it was scratched). Bit the problem still persist with another home button. Button was originally replaced under warranty, so it should have fingerprint reader in it.
I went to my phone dialer and typed *#0*# -> sensors -> fingerprint and i got this: none
When i click test sensor i get a crash.

Ive been having issues accessing my phone via the fingerprint scanner. I have entered my finger multiple times only to have ever it work for a while then start to fail at scanning. Most of the time it's just not working but other times it comes up with an error message. I have a tempered glass screen protector on it have set it up with it on so I don't think it could be the issue due the working the progressive failure.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm locked out of my s6. All three of my registered fingerprints are not recognized.
The backup password and the gmail password isn't working. Gmail works fine on my computer.
I can't unlock using Find My Mobile because it says theres no connection.
I have restarted a couple times but it makes no difference.
My wifi is off. Data is on but I suspect that it has reached the limit i set this morning.
I have seen many reviews claiming that it is nearly impossible to use the fingerprint scanner one handed. I have successfully setup the scanner with both my thumbs and my right index finger. When I setup my thumbs, I just scanned my thumb over the sensor sideways (the natural position of your thumb when holding the phone one handed). Now whenever I unlock my phoneI just do a quick swipe down with my thumb and it work 90% of the time. When it doesn't work is when I am not covering the entire home button with my thumb.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a password storing app that may use the fingerprint scanner built into the galaxy s5 but I'm not sure if it exists.
Also, what else can the fingerprint scanner be used for?
I've been noticing lately my fingerprint scanner getting extremely hot lately. Almost too hot to touch. I've wiped the phone and reinstalled the OS (Gingerbread 2.3.4) and all updates. I've cleaned the scanner with a q-tip and a small amount of rubbing alcohol. I'm not sure what else to try, or if I even should try anything else. Should I just file a claim or is this something that's not covered?
