Jul 5, 2012I don't have any file manager on my phone and even if I manage to download one, I don't know how to install it!I've tested some apk files on my SD card, copied them in "others folder" and also directly in the SD card. But could see none of them when I went to settings/applications/manage applications.So how on earth can I install a software or application on my phone? I even can't access a file manager to find them!

May 11, 2015I used to use ES file manager to manage my files on my xperia SP. Now I had xperia Z2, but I can't use ES file manager the way I used to. I mean : if I want to move for example a picture from my internal phone memory to the External SD card , message pops up telling that the task failed.
Then I press on Task Details and a Hint pops up saying: Your system forbidsES from writing on external SD card(check [URL] .....), so ES can only write on it after rooted. I tried to enter this url but couldn't, an error occured saying :
Your client does not have permission to get URL /p/android/issues/detail from this server.

Nov 7, 2014I have noticed that, I cant preview any images or videos from file manager or any other storage. if I select the preview options like album, photos, MX player or movies it directly take me to the particular app & shows entire album pic n movies instead of particular Videos or images.
I faced same issue while select videos directly from whatsapp or any social network and I was Struggled to set DP in whatsapp, it directly take me to entire album photos instead of particular image.
And another issue is, if I click the new notifications from (Whatsapp, Line, FB etc) notification window, it take me down to the app start page instead of particular notification path/thread or to the particular chat.
How to get rid or fix this? (Android Build - 23.1.A.0.726 - D6502)

Sep 27, 2012I have been using my ray for 6 months. Today I observed that all the files were invisible on my computer, eventhough SD card was full. My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. I am sure that the files are in my phone, I have check from my phone.Now, I could not transfer my pictures, files, movies from my computer.

Dec 15, 2012Using the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual.Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? What is the stock audio file player on the Maxx HD? Why can't I browse to an audio file with the file manager and tap on it and have it play? How do I fix this?

After that neither Media Go nor Windows Explorer recognize my phone as a unit anymore. especially since connection still works perfect towards another computer. Where should I start to look - have tried to update the SEMC HSUSB device drivers in windows but I didn't manage to find newer ones on internet than the existing ones, (5.1.2600.0)? I've latest version of SW on phone and run PC on XP SP3.
